For the last two years, I’ve been living in bamboo, elastic-waistband pants. They’re very comfortable, but winter is coming and lightweight bamboo ain’t gonna cut it. If I can drop another 5-6 pounds by then, I think this can happen.
5lbs sounds like a good mini goal to me. At a lb a week it sounds very possible too5 -
2.6kg to go to be under 100kg... Hoping to reach it before the end of the year!
Completed as of last weekend, finally into the double digits!! Next mini-goal will be to reach 97kg, which will mark 25kg lost in total. I'm also going to try to start swimming once a week... Once I get over the fear of wearing a bathing suit 😅11 -
@Caeli11 Congrats on meeting your goal way early!
I started going to the pool this summer, when I weighed right around 113kg (and I’m fairly short). I know what you mean about that fear of wearing a bathing suit, but honestly: just go! It feels so good to be in the water, and trust me you won’t be the only one carrying some extra weight. It doesn’t matter at all, enjoy the swimming 🏊 It really helps with the weight loss too (I’m down to about 97 lbs now, myself).9 -
Trying to get down to 149 lbs by Christmas to make it an even 90 lbs weight loss! I've gotten as low as 150.4!12
-
Super stoked to be under 180lbs for the first time in 20 years. 188.0lbs today!!11

Update: After a week of being taunted by the scale, I finally hit my first mini goal of losing 5%! My next mini goal is 10%. 🙌12

Keeping my insulin dose to 30 units or below, I've done it for 3 days now! My biggest goal is to get my a1c below 7 before January if possible, or as close to it. Frozen and slightly thawed Glucerna Creamy Strawberry is my go-to treat. I'm lucky in one regard, Covid19 wiped out my taste buds and sense of smell in early 2020, and they never totally recovered, so the frozen diabetic friendly shake tastes like ice cream to me7

My very mini Mini-Goal: To track all of my food and exercise for one week. My big picture goal is to reduce my A1c by reducing my weight. But right now I'm not trying to reach any goals other than tracking. When I track, I naturally make better movement and dietary choices without even thinking about it. But doing something out of habit, like tracking, is very hard for me.
I am in the same boat! I was so thrilled because for three days in a row my insulin dose was only 30 units! Tracking is hard, I agree, but like most habits, if you keep at it for 2 or 3 weeks it becomes second nature. I put MyFitnessPal on my phone, I can hardly read it, but the icon is there to remind me. Keep at it! Diabetes sucks, but it is also a blessing because it forces us to take control of our health, not take it for granted. Good Luck!!!!9 -
My goal right now is to feel better physically. I just want to stop feeling so tired and breathless. Heart palpitations and anxiety is scaring me1. So I have drastically changed my diet. No junk food, no refined sugar, no bakery, no fried stuff. I eat clean and healthy + OMAD/IF. I just want to feel physically better 😞11

Mini goal Motivation is to lose 3 lbs. Get back at my lowest weight this year. I was 132.2lbs and gained three lbs for 135.2...135.2 isn't so bad but I rather be back at my lowest. Where I had a bit less fat. Can see where I gained it. Which is of course in my belly for the most part.8

My mini goal is to NOT exceed my high weight on January 1, 2023 all year. So far, I'm on schedule. AND ... November 1 to December 31 is my nemesis each year. Only 21 days to go!!!!
My second mini goal is to start January 1, 2024 NOT needing to start a new weight loss goal. Maintenance is tough.8 -
I would like to get below 105.5kg and not gain any weight over Christmas and New Years. Actually, it would be cool to be below 104kg by New Years.7
-
Staying within my glucose range the majority (or all) of the day. Doing good, but not as well as prior to holiday season with all the get-togethers. But still keeping happy. Would like to continue to consistently drop farther into range by the end of the year.6

Current mini goal....100 days of Yoga With Adriene! As soon as I start this week....my goal is to CONTINUE FOR 100 DAYS STRAIGHT. By then....the New Years Crowds will have died down at the gym....and I can join without having to compete for a spot in class. I'll also be more toned, flexible and mentally ready to commit.8
-
To get to a size large sweater so that I can make use of the 30-40 sweaters I have had neatly folded in my closet for the past 4 years.12

My mini goal of 100 days of Yoga is underway...having completed two days. I would like to suggest to anyone who has "gym goals" as a New Years Resolution and hasn't been pursuing it regularly to begin an at home Yoga practice first. I was slightly sore after just one day but I know over time my body will slowly regain strength and flexibility. Right now, I'm finding it enjoyable to commit to daily yoga...but can't imagine jumping into a cardio/weights program 😳. At the end of 100 days daily exercise will be an easier habit. 😀 Consider giving yourself some time ....maybe mid February....for the average Resolution crowd to drop out. I've started my yoga practice with TRUE 30 day yoga with Adriene and I'm really appreciative of the slow steady approach.5

My current mini goal is to NOT gain too much with Christmas around the corner. My family Christmas is this weekend and as typical I cook way too much. But I am working to minimize what I eat over the weekend and make everyone take leftovers with them.6
-
My mini goal is to maintain my weight for December. I realise that with various commitments, stresses and wanting to partake in holiday treats an expectation of weight loss is not for me right now.
My other mini goal is to get my 2023 step average up to 10502 as that would be exactly 1000 steps more than 2022. I’m at 10445 right now so that feels achievable.8 -
My goal is to officially lose 20 pounds from my highest weight. Three pound to go.8
-
Wearing this RL dress.

My friend and I just agreed to start a water challenge starting tomorrow to January 16,2024. The goal is 8 cups per day.6
-
I want to lose another 2.8 lbs by the end of the year, for a total of 65 lbs lost in 2023 which will be my half-way point.
18 -
Today is the first time the scale dipped below 160. My mini goal is to be solidly out of the 160s by the new year. That gives me a bit of grace during the holiday season but still making progress.13
-
My mini goal is to keep my glucose levels in a reasonable range and watch my carbohydrate intake.12
-
5# in 2 weeks. Then continue working the plan until I am out of Pre-diabetes---probably June if I am keeping git slow and steady.9
-
Mini goal? Let's see. One month. Lose 2kg in the next 30 days.11
-
My goal is to lose 38 pounds so that I can have my knee replacement soon. I want to be able to walk without pain and do my favorite sports like basketball, Judo, fencing and ride a bike. I want to travel a lot before I kick the bucket. Love you all.14
-
Too get into the 150’s and stay there for awhile.11
-
Tracking all the food over the next month. And not loosing focus again.
And if everything went well, I've lost some weight.8 -
Someone said mine (kind of): getting pants to fit...not just any though...being able to button denim jeans! Not buying new ones to fit me now, but the ones still in the closet. After I could no longer button the stretchiest denim size 14w I've been living in yoga pants. I've convinced myself they're ok in public and nicer restaurants even. If my mom's double knit was ok in the 70s, mine are too, right? NOT EVEN!!5
