@earlybirdlady You can totally accomplish both. Paying off that debt will relieve any anxiety about it and you'll feel a huge sense of accomplishment. Keeping to a good budget will support your fitness and nutrition goals. Buying real food, meal prepping twice a week, shopping around for produce, and freezing stuff really helps.6

For me, i'm 50 and knees hurt, blood sugar A1C was high.. So I decided to do this again: working out daily + low carb / no sugar. Been a streak of 25 days (so just starting again) but getting great results!
I did this a year ago but fell off the wagon, time to run and chase that wagon so I can hitch a ride.

getting through 1/1/24 without cheating on me or my food and exercise plan. So far so good, ate the right amount of calories and did a good long walk this morning. Year is starting out ok. Tomorrow is another day. But I can conquer tomorrow as well. Fingers crossed.6

My current minigoal is upping my steps to at least 4,000 average a day, and adding in exercise at least once a week.6

My mini goal is part of a larger goal. I want to have a 250 pound bench press in December of 2024. In order to achieve this I have to hit 5 pound milestones every month. I am starting at an easily achievable weight for January, 190 pounds. I increase 5 pounds every month.
@earlybirdlady you certainly can be successful at this, good luck.5 -

Good one!! Thinking about what you are eating to nourish your baby is a great way to change your focus on where you're spending your calories. It worked great for me, but my "babies" are 35 and 29 now. Wondering if I can get back to that mindset anyway. Who is greasy sugary salt helping? And how much better will we feel if we eat like we are trying to build a great nutritional foundation for someone we love (including ourselves)??3 -
I got this flower overtop and I want to fit into it. It's about a size too small. It only came in two sizes (think, one size fits all), and the bigger size was too big.

Tracking and logging in my workouts. I had a medical boot on for the last 2 months and though I'm not officially cleared yet, I have been swimming and this has been fun.6

I think also, my mini-goal is to lose 5% of my weight.7

For the first time in months and months I have a good few clear months to concentrate on my health journey with no planned derailments! I know there will be some bumps but I've been so busy hosting ( we moved from UK to USA in 4 months and have had tons of people visit since we moved), I am looking forward to seeing what I can do until the next people arrive in May

Staying within my glucose range the majority (or all) of the day. Doing good, but not as well as prior to holiday season with all the get-togethers. But still keeping happy. Would like to continue to consistently drop farther into range by the end of the year.
Quick update - have managed to be much better with this. Even better, I managed to drop my A1C down over .5 points in two months, thus keeping me from being classified as Type 2. My mini goal is to continue dropping down, so I can get out of the pre-diabetic range all together. The bonus, is I'm losing weight as I go, and still eating healthy.8 -
My mini goal is to track my breakfast and lunch consistently for a whole month.6

My doctor is challenging me to weigh under 200 lbs by the time I see him in May. The appointment also happens to be just a few days before I leave for a vacation, and there is a dress that I would like to wear on the vacation.9
