Hello all, training and ageing

I’m here to keep myself accountable with my training, diet and overall health and fitness as I am turning 52 this year. Looking forward to connecting with likeminded individuals who are on the same journey for mutual support and encouragement.

    Hi Chris,

    I am here with the same goals as you, according to your picture I would say you are very on track. I am thinking maybe you could give me guidance for weight training. I do not want to bulk up but would enjoy have a nice toned look to my arms and legs. I have been strength training for about 1.5 months, I do 12 reps, 3 sets of each exercise. I previously worked out with a personal trainer that told me free weights provided a bigger bang for your buck, I have moved away from most weight machines and am now using more free weights. I think I need to move to heavier weights, I have been lifting 5 pounds for my upper body. Nice to meet you!
