To Deep woods lady
Dona
Take that chocolate you won and all those cookies and fudge and bag it up and take it to the local food bank, homeless shelter etc. If they cant take it then give it to your daughter to take to her home. This way it wont be in your house. You can have a treat of one piece when you visit her. If by chance she wont take it then find someone who will. church group? neighbors? . In the meantime enjoy the lotion and the asti.in moderation:))))) Happy New Year P.S. make less cookies fudge etc for your gatherings and send leftovers home with the attendees ))2 -

Well I went MIA for December and thus the expected weight gain. I am starting afresh and hope to at least lose the December weight gain by the end of this current challenge. I have seen so many inspiring results these past few months. For those who "fell off the wagon" for the holiday season, let's get up from that stumble and put in the work for these final weeks of the challenge .4 -
@deepwoodslady great chocolate release plan 👍
@RubyRed427 WOW great holiday recovery 🏆
I’m starting my day with high hopes for the future, ready to commit to another year of healthy GOALS.
The gym is offering a nutrition challenge and body scan. It will be interesting to hear what the coach says about my results.
The swing of the kettlebell hurts my upper back. So I started my morning trying new stretches.

Mini goal weight 154. Goal Weight 149
I decided to set mini goal weights so I can have some small success along the way.
I made a giant batch of vegetable soup to have for meals and snack on. I am still eating sweets ( I still have Christmas treats in freezer....ACK!) but trying to eat less of them every day.5 -
I am a 5'3" retiree and started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.
My final goal weight is 145.
Highest weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs
Previous weight as of Oct 27: 156.7
Nov 4: 156.5
Nov 9: 154.7
Nov 23: 156
Dec 1: 156.3
Dec 8: 156.3
Dec 15: 155.4
Dec 22: 156.3
Dec 30: 156.7
1/5/24: 156.3
I refuse to feel discouraged with my slow progress. I reflect on how much I have changed, both physically and mentally, how much healthier I am and how much better I feel than when I started this journey 2 years ago.
January 2nd was my 2 year MFP anniversary. Overall I've lost 73.7 lbs and have dropped from a size 20W to a misses size 8/10. My cholesterol has dropped by 25 points well into normal range and my A1C has dropped below pre-diabetic range. I no longer have pain in my hips and knees. I can sit on the floor and get up without assistance. I'm able to exercise, walk, and perform most physical tasks without being in pain and without quickly becoming out of breath. I can see and feel muscles that I forgot I even had. I no longer stress about it when I eat over my calorie limit for a day or 2. I no longer feel guilty when I eat something that I didn't plan on.
It doesn't matter if I never reach my goal weight or if I do, how long it takes. This is a lifestlye change that I know I will need to continue for the rest of my days.
I hope you all had a happy and healthy new year!

01/01-181.6-(Trend Weight: 180.3)-
01/02-181.4-(Trend Weight: 180.4)- I’ll take whatever progress I can get. My Holiday feast was on the 30th so I am just trying to pull myself up and out of this hole. 0.2 loss is better than nothing considering all the leftovers and baked goods that are still lingering.
01/09-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I woke up to a big disappointment. I got on my scales and they kept flipping from 174.8 to 175.4 which I know is impossible at this time. I haven’t even had TMI so they should be the same or even up slightly from yesterday’s weight (179.8). Also, it did not change over and show me the fat %, Water %, and all the other data it usually gives. It just went black after the weight every time I tried it. All the functions worked perfectly yesterday. I didn’t have another set of AAA batteries so I borrowed some from my TV remote and it still would not work properly. I’m afraid it’s time for a new scale. This one only lasted two years at most. Strange that it stays nicely lit but won’t perform. Anyway, I’ll be scouring Amazon for a new one today so I won’t be able to weigh until it comes in. I must stay diligent and not let my brain go into free-for-all mode just because I don’t have to weigh for a few days. Yes, I have common sense, but that could very easily happen anyway so I am going to pre-log all my food as soon as I am done posting on my challenges to help me stay in line. I will also force myself to exercise today as I could possibly get lax on that too, thinking I’m getting away with murder with no scale. It kind of feels like the teacher is absent today and I have a brand new very young substitute. As far as I think I have come in this weight loss journey, boy am I ever weak and boy oh boy, do I EVER have such a long way to go. Sometimes the physical part is easier than the mental part! Have a good day my friends. I am buckled down for our 6 – 10 inches expected snow storm. I went out yesterday for all the fresh stuff – eggs-bread-milk so my son & I are prepared.
