First day back teaching after a 2 week break probably helped! Looking forward to next week's number! There's also a long weekend coming up which means more time to walk. I work 7am-6:30pm so going to start waking up early starting Wednesday this week to fit in a work out. I found some old fitness DVDs to use and ordered myself hand weights. Tonight will be a late night watching Michigan, so I'm going to let myself wait until Wednesday to wake up super early. Go Blue!

I am starting this year by quitting soda, alcohol and sugar. Trying to find time for exercise, but starting 2 classes in grad school, so need to find a way to do audio learning while walking. But i feel motivated!
I finally got out for a short hike with my nieces and then walked 3 miles today while doing errands. Been good with no soda and alcohol. Avoided sweets but did have some bread when i ate out for breakfast. But cutting back on sugar has already improved my complexion and cravings!
If we get snow here, i hope to get some snowshoeing in!

    Thank you, @enlightenme3 !
I'm Chris - 73 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

I weighed in on my 34th birthday and decided it was time to make a change. I am going to start slow by tracking daily and walking. My partner also wants to lose weight so I'm hoping that makes it better. He is super supportive.

    Here's to a fresh start!
