    January Start Weight: 265.4
    January Goal Weight: 261
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 185
    January 1: 265.4
January 8: 260.2. Not sure how that happened, but it's very encouraging! I must have been retaining some water somewhere because I was eating at maintenance trying to heal from being sick--craving lots and lots of oranges. At my goal for my HealthyWage challenge so i need to keep it up for the official weigh in. I plan to buy myself some roller skates with the prize money. I used to love skating as a kid; you couldn't keep me off the skating rink or out of the swimming pool if there was one nearby. Weird how when we get older we forget about things that brought joy and excitement to our lives. I didn't make resolutions this year, but as I have entered my forties, i have decided to prioritize my own health, mental health, and happiness. With roller skates :) See you all next week--lots of love!

January 15: 260--been really hungry the last few days. I wish there was a way to track that on Fitbit the way you can track mood and look at the trends like in the menstrual health section (hint hint, Fitbit developers who may be reading this)

You'll need to go over to Fitbit to let them know about that. This is MyFitnessPal, and you're in luck! There actually ~IS~ a way to record notes like feeling hungry.

On the website, look near the bottom of your food diary. On the right, next to where you can log water, is a big area for notes. You can write how you feel about the day and how what you ate made you feel. You can describe whether you were hungry or not.

On the iOS app, it's similar. At the bottom, on the right, there's a button you can tap and it will let you enter a note. I assume it's similar on the Android app, but I don't use it.

This forum is read only by other members of MyFitnessPal. Even MFP staff don't really read this, much less anyone who runs Fitbit unless they also happen to be a member of MFP and are participating in this particular discussion.

Ultimate Start Weight (01/02/2024): 223 lbs
    January Goal Weight: 219 lbs
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 130 lbs

    January 5: 215.5 lbs (- 7.5)
    January 12: DNW
    January 19: 216 (- 7)
I expected to go back up since I only had a huge drop from being sick. But I'm so happy to see I've only gained .5 lb back! Gotta keep the momentum going in the right direction from here.

Heaviest weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
Original MFP starting weight (January 2018) - 168.2
    December 30 (Starting Weight): - 156.0 (10-day average 155.8)
January goal - Get back into maintenance weight range.
    Ultimate goal - Range between 143 - 153

I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.

    December 30: 156.0 (10-day average 155.8)
    January 6: 152.0 (10-day average 154.4)
    January 13: 148.0 (10-day average 150.1)
    January 20: 147.0 (10-day average 147.6)
    January 27:
    February 3:

Total loss for January: Holy cats. I am down 2.2 pounds (average - 1.8 by scale) this week and 6.9 pounds (average - 7.8 by) for the year. Far too fast to be sustainable or healthy. The rate has decreased in the last several days. I am down only 0.2 pounds by scale over the last four days, and the average is catching up but is still looking back to ten days ago. I am actually up from yesterday by scale, but still down by that average. It's one reason I like to watch trends not daily numbers.

I am clearly back in maintenance. I can still lose five pounds and be in my maintenance range, so I won't mind if I lose just a bit more to my "ultimate goal weight" that I maintained for a couple years before September 2020 turned everything upside down.

I WILL be sticking with the program. It works. I'm getting in lots of long walks and cooking some really healthy and delicious meals.
