I'm picturing poor @tarun_yadavA sitting there eating carrots and pepper slices, while everyone else eats those cinnamon rolls! Good for you if you can do it. I personally would find that difficult, and would find a way to compromise.

@ContraryMaryMary congrats on the half! I think it's a great accomplishment just to be able to run a half marathon whenever you want (or whenever you remember you signed up for a race)!

Hi everyone!

I just got finished with my long run, or it finished me! It was 30.1km. The first 10km, I felt like I could run forever. I did have a strong inkling though that the second half of the run would be tough as it is windy and I had a considerable tail wind. After my turn around point I had a huge headwind which was mentally quite tough to adjust to. I no longer felt like I could run forever or even to the car

. So, all in all, it was a tough run, but I am proud I was able to get it done.

125.6/200km for February.

Did 1 mile on our walking pad yesterday.
Did 2 outside today in the sun! 16:40 pace walk. Was debating as to whether to do 3, but decided to stick with what the training plan said to do.

Sounds like you did great with your long run @Laurz9191 . Those headwinds are horrible.

I'll admit that I was a bit lazy today. I was also tired and moody, so just did a cool mile walk on the driveway this afternoon.

I am going to finish out the month doing what I can/feel like doing. I know I will be no where near my goal, but I'm okay with that. I plan to start my training plan over again in March. Good thing I didn't sign up for a race yet.

I feel you @quilteryoyo . February is not shaping up to be a good month.
Terrible, terrible run. Felt like I was running in sand. My left Achilles started hurting pretty quickly. Only got in 5 miles. I guess I just need to take it easy for the rest of the month.

I got out and did a frosty driveway walk this morning. It was surprisingly pleasant and enjoyable. I have a handyman coming to do some work today and it's colonoscopy prep day. Oh joy! Chicken broth. It's what's for breakfast.

Another stiff & sluggish run but I just kept going. It was drizzling quite heavy by the time I was able to go and was fully expecting the come back compete drenched. But it just stopped so was a very calm run with no wind and reasonable temperatures. Overall good!

Going out for diner to our local restaurant since it St Valentines' Day, any excuse!

Still not able to run, or rather breathe properly. Damn pollen allergy. Oh yeah, and I'm still massively behind goal 😅 Will be away from Saturday to Monday evening, thus likely will lag even more behind. Ho hum, and will have a lengthy doctors visit at the end of the month for which I'll have to stay away from home for another night. Doomed plan 🤣
