65 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 251 (my 181st). Thank you @quiltingjaine for keeping this going, so grateful.
Goals for this round; to lose! And to break the “always looking for something to put in my mouth” syndrome!
Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

2/17 144.4 – so there it is the weight at the end of the family holiday, luckily not too much of a hike and something to work at. We spent yesterday at National Trust property Errdig, DGC played in the woods, climbed the trees, balanced on the fallen trees, enjoyed the tree swing and after our picnic enjoyed toasting marshmallows before we all went our separate ways to travel home. A wonderful family week; it seemed really quiet when we got home !!
2/18 143.6 – 11.22 miles walked; 36% of exercise calories eaten back. It feels good to be back in the swing!!

2/19- 195.4 it’s interesting that my initial reaction to being up was totally fine, I know my body. I know the difference between a real gain and a normal fluctuation. My calories were good, my body feels good and I feel good.
But my initial reaction to POSTING a blip up was a feeling of failure, disappointment and embarrassment.
I’m gonna have to sit with these two very different feelings. I don’t think I fully understand how it effects me when my inner voice has this split personality of self acceptance vs. fear of judgement.
You will not be judged here; we are all in the same boat at one time or another. There have been times when I have not wanted to post an up tick for the same reason as you, but eventually I realise that I am just kidding myself and enter it. This group is a tool to help us all in our daily struggles not where we come to be judged. Please don't feel bad, upticks, and slip ups too, happen, it's life, we all know too well!!4 -

Random stuff about me:I am 59 years old this month (ouch). I currently live in Texas with my hubby and crew of kitty babies. I am a neonatal nurse practitioner and work 24hour shifts in a busy NICU. If it looks like I disappear on random days…that’s why! About 10 years ago I lost 135 pounds. Never made it to goal but just sort of leveled off at ~200 pounds. Over time I gained back nearly 50. 02/19 - 150.2 - A ton of bloat has dropped off now that I've avoided dairy/lactose. Today's slight increase is likely due to sodium (we had Asian for lunch and that's a normal reaction for me) and TOM is scheduled to arrive this week so there's some bloat involved. I won't be surprised if I'm even higher tomorrow due to bloat and DOMs - today was leg day at the gym. Jello legs anyone? I'm eating 80% paleo and focusing on reducing carbs (today is higher due to the heavy lifts and Friday on my log run, but every other day this week will be lower on carbs). Feeling good and hopeful!

Workout done this morning, have a plan and path forward with a chiropractor (who also has my same injury/metal), and meals planned for next week. I need to make my grocery list but I can't go shopping until Sunday so I have time. Tomorrow I'm planning a longer run. I need to aim for 3.5 or more miles if I have any hope of making it to 6 miles by April with only 1-2 days a week I can reliably run. Feeling good about progress, though!

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.7 -
@Skyleen75 Thank you for “Posting Up”. Everyone has posting challenges but some can let it roll off easier than others. I don’t weigh every day because an uptick really REALLY bothers me. I was able to let it go a few rounds but the scale anxiety is always there… I have NEVER had a positive whoosh where the scale just went down unexpectedly… mine are ALWAYS up. I see where participants eat crazy and they still weigh less. Gotta tell ya, it’s deflating. Really deflating. So I decided to not weigh every day and only weigh when I was feeling super positive. I have the slowest metabolism on this earth and I do get discouraged often…. Even tho I’m trying to pump out positivity every single day…. It’s mainly for me to fake it till I make it …. For the most part, I am indeed loving this journey and feeling great about my choices…. But when the scale doesn’t follow my effort, I do have failure thoughts. It’s HOW you react to your thoughts that count… Keep telling yourself you are following the process, know that if you are true to yourself the lbs will come off…. But yeah, its’ hard as heck. Controlling your thoughts is the key. Thoughts generate emotions and emotions create actions/ choices…
AND to This Group: To anyone choosing poorly or self- sabotaging …. Get the JUNK food out of the freaking house… NOW! I am definitely one of those that can NOT moderate. Moderating is almost impossible. Once I recognized FOOD IS AN ADDICTION then I have to accept and act like it. Seriously - have you seen the studies on the SAD (Standard American Diet) chemicals, processed foods, preservatives…. and how it is ruining our health? The very additives are ADDICTIVE. Get the crap out of the house for goodness sake. And if your spouse or partner or room mate isn’t supportive, that is just NOT acceptable. Have a chat. Ask for their support! Heck, I have a supportive husband and no junk in the house… and it’s still freaking HARD!
Ok, off my soap box. I hope my rant impacted someone to throw away the temptations NOW. Prep your kitchen for success. Find the sugar stashes and throw them away! Quit baking for two weeks. Come ON!!!! No more excuses. Times are challenging. And here I am PREACHING and I cannot move the scale ONE DARN POUND… but…. I do know it will move sooner or later! Onward.

I have finally found success. For some reason, this group of people, signing in daily, being accountable to myself, and knowing I am not doing this alone, is showing me slow but consistent progress. Would I like it to be faster? Hell yes! But fast loss is not sustainable for me. I wish you well in this journey and hope you can avoid some of the frustration, money, and years I have wasted. I am doing this naturally this final time simply and consistently making healthy choices in food, life, and exercise. It is working.~ Does anyone else have a story similar to this?

Hey everyone, I'm Crystal! I did this challenge several years ago and loved it. Starting this challange again this round (Feb 16th). I started getting serious again about weight loss in October last year (2023). Counted calories, watched my sugar and carbs and did IF (16/8). I had already been doing the fasting part of it for over a year. Lost about 12-13 lbs by Christmas but hit a plateau so decided to give OMAD a try. Just started that Feb 5th. I eat my 1 meal at dinner time, anywhere between 5:30-7 pm. Allow myself a dessert an hr later, give or take and that is it until the next day. (Aside from coffee, which I refuse to give up in the mornings). Still following my macro goals as well. Looking forward to reading everyone's stories and tips/goals! ❤️

I should always listen to my gut.

Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

2/17 144.4 – so there it is the weight at the end of the family holiday, luckily not too much of a hike and something to work at. We spent yesterday at National Trust property Errdig, DGC played in the woods, climbed the trees, balanced on the fallen trees, enjoyed the tree swing and after our picnic enjoyed toasting marshmallows before we all went our separate ways to travel home. A wonderful family week; it seemed really quiet when we got home !!

I was reading your post yesterday and the responses, which are right in line with my experience. I love this group. 2/20: beginning to understand the pattern of my body. I sit on plateaus for long periods and then there's a drop. At first I thought it was the scale, but I have a new Renpho travel scale that I occasionally use to compare and it appears to be the same. I think I'll start doing a weekly weigh-in at the gym, which has "real" scale. That would be a BIG breakthrough- weighing in a public space?? Hmmm- I'll combine it with a trip to the whirlpool to reward myself.7 -

********************************2/16 131.0lbs. It’s important to me to have a new focus every round. (Not just a continuation of the previous round). For 20 rounds now, I’ve viewed this time as “becoming” vs “being” I’m basically at my destination- so now what? I thought “maintenance” was just about maintaining weight but it’s actually LIVING a new daily life … I want this WOE to be who I am at my core. And, how do I live each day with everything in my life supporting that choice?!…. It’s pretty simple… If it doesn’t fit, get rid of it… And start something new… And LOVING IT!! 🍀to all! Let’s get it done!
2/17 Yesterday was another non-routine day. Started reading “Habit Mechanic”. A “how to” tool book/workbook combining behavioral science, neuroscience and psychology to identify unwanted habits and start new ones. If serious about weight loss, changing any aspect of your life & becoming the best version of yourself, I highly recommend it. Today will be another cold, wet, ugly day, … I’ll be able to get in 🙆♀️🏋️♀️🤸🏼. Hope to 🚶♀️but the weather may not cooperate. Food is planned.

2/18 I read yesterday to not focus on gaining muscle until body fat % down. I’m looking forward to speaking to my “trainer” Friday. I know it could sound to most I’m splitting hairs but ever since she told me, “Skinny Fat” … oh gosh just … oh gosh! I felt really, really bad. A friend of mine said, “WELL, I’d much rather be skinny fat than just plain ole FAT!” Well not me. I’ve been athletic most of my life, and to learn that I’m NOT “in shape” when I sincerely believed I was, was alarming … After 8 wks of going from ZERO to moderate 🤸🏼🏋️♀️, I’m definitely feeling more tone & stronger. I WILL keep trusting that the process is working & the scan shows it…. But…. ngl, I’m apprehensive about Friday. Let’s just keep focused and DO the work ….Today: very cold and extra windy (for me) 🙆♀️🤸🏼🏋️♀️ inside this morn & will🚶♀️later weather permitting. Food planned.

✅ all systems go & 13k 🚶♀️as well as 🤸🏼🙆♀️💗. Solid day.
Visited Renpho (⚖️) settings. I was using the old app that is no longer supported. Updated it. My stats are more in line with the InBody and make more sense now. So…. I will be interested to see how close Friday InBody scan comes to this current software/my scale. Will let you know (For all you Renfro users.) May no longer need the InBody.
I’m now one week into my new macros that I’ve hit consistently … No measurable/noticeable change…
2/20 Only 6k steps yesterday. ✅ for all other measures.
Today’s affirmations:

I have ALWAYS been ON a “diet” since high school. I have never been comfortable with my body - no matter my weight.
Pre- college: 125-130lbs
College- 160lbs one year… graduated @130lbs.
1990 (Age 32) - Avg.135/140 lbs
2000 (Age 42) - Avg 145 lbs
2010 (Age 52) Avg 150, HW 172 lbs in 2010. 130 by end of 2014.
2020 (Age 62) 130-135lbs
7/2023 (Age 64) 145lbs
1/2024 (Age 65) 130lbs
UGW = 129-130lbs

Initial BF% : 22%
Aug 14, 2014 @ 157lbs (down 15 from heaviest of 172lbs in 2010), I decided to take serious control of my health. I lost 30lbs by 11/15/2014. Weight @ 128-132lbs through the end of 2020. Five years!
Another 🎢 Roller Coaster Begins….
2020 through 2021, I fluctuated 132-140 lbs. Always self-conscious.
8/1/ 2022 crept up to 142lbs.
Dropped to 128lbs again by 10/30 - held 130lbs till 2/1/23.
2023 Back ⬆️ 145lbs by July 15! 15lbs BOOM! Enjoyed eating & margaritas way too much. Nutrition has always been somewhat healthy BUT portion control is/was THE issue. Started tracking again 7/15/23. Joined “Just give me 10 days” R231 in beginning of 8/2023. Here we are @ 130ish determined to…. STOP the 🎢 & be in the

The yo-yo is exhausting & unhealthy. Takes up way too much brain space.
I learned MY choices created an emotional 🎢 roller coaster with yo-yo weight and fitness. My forever goal is to be healthy & fit & maintain approx. 130lbs & IN SHAPE.
As I age it becomes much, MUCH more difficult to lose weight. I could lose 15lbs easy in 8 weeks up to 2022 ish … This is absolutely not true anymore.
While active with 🚶♀️& 🎾 it’s clear a ST 🏋️♀️🤸🏼routine was absent. Strength & balance are 💯most important now. Time to incorporate ST 🏋️♀️ 🙆♀️🤸🏼as my TRUE focus.

R231 - R 247, lost 15lbs to 130.
Avg loss 1lbs per Round. Painfully SLOW.
Jan/Feb: Ticked up to a steady 132ish. Happier@129-130.
(I was in “maintenance” for 4 to 6 weeks and it’s slowly ticked up.)
