π Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. π
I joined back in September of 2021, which was my first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, I lost 40 pounds and use this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπ
Pick whatever unit suits you -- lbs, kgβs or stones.

I will be here for March! I am on the shorter side and target 1200-1300 calories a day. Hope to get more active once this weather warms up but go to gym classes 2 x a week and love to take long walks.

March weight loss challenge
I started my journey in 2018 July 1st weighing 202.2. One year later I reached my goal weight of 142. Very exciting times. Unfortunately I ended up with health concerns and weight gain. now ready to get back to goal.

February the wt really came off. I lost about 7lbs woot woot. Walking daily is a huge part of my wt loss process. I average about 9000 steps a day, not bad for an old dog. I always eat low carb no sugar but not quite keto. I may try keto this month we shall see. I really hope to say good bye to the fifties forever this month. Have a great month everyone.

Hi all! In March of 2020 at 220 lbs I decided that I was finally going to make a conscious effort to lose weight and get healthy for myself and my two young, amazing children. MFP truly was my pal through it all and helped me stay accountable to myself. My goal at the time was 143 and by April 2021 I exceed my goal and weighed 139. I was able to maintain my goal weight give or take 5 pounds until major health issues started to wreak havoc in the beginning of 2023 and I gained 55+ pounds over the course of only about one year. Iβm still struggling with health issues but I am determined to not let my weight be the root cause for many of my issues any more. There must be something in the air in March/April that is so inspiring to me, haahaa, Spring is officially my new favorite season π Letβs do this!!! πͺ

03/01-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- No weigh Friday as I get up extra early to get grandson ready for the bus. I only weigh later if I lay back down but today I canβt. Also I take my once-per-week Fosamax on this day with 8 oz of water upon waking. Yesterday was a good clean eating day but hardly any movement or exercise so my calorie burn overall was very low. Today will probably not allow me much better. One of the new windows was put in yesterday in the bedroom and floor in bath was prepped for new sub=flooring. A flurry of activity here. Well, my friends, Its a new month. Time to βMarchβ into better health and a more optimal weight (for most of us). Letβs go!
