    3/30- 187.6 normal weight pattern. Spending some time this morning thinking about how to navigate family Easter food tomorrow. It’s good for me to think about ahead of time while I’m not hungry.
    I have a good plan in place to enjoy the dishes I love and avoid filling up on food I don’t care about.
    But really, plans splans, I’m going to be white knuckling it and hoping for the best. Please for the love of god, don’t let there be a giant candy bowl filled with starburst jellybeans…

    @skyleen75 I LOVE LOVE LOVE your two ideas. 1. Make a plan ahead of time when not hungry 2. Skipping the dishes that don't matter and focusing on what you want most will save calories and carbs.

    This will definitely help me in the future but I'm not so sure about tomorrow. Due to the Renovation, we are meeting out-of-town for dinner. The family has taken a vote and they all want Golden Corral (which will be open). It's about 4 hours round trip so on top of an all-you-can-eat buffet menu it will be a lot of sitting. I don't know how well these great ideas will work at a buffet but I will put it to the test! Happy Easter!

I suppose water intake, hormones and sleep all plays a part but it’s not exactly calories in / calories out or extra low carb that determines your fate. It’s so much more….. No wonder science is so conflicting.

    Thank you for the morning chuckle and the welcome. Fortunately I found most of the desserts unappetizingly dry so would try a bite and leave the rest. The two mornings they had sticky buns on the continental breakfast buffet they were the consistency my scratch made ones have after 2 days - hard and dry. If there had been a microwave and a LOT of butter they would have been okay-ish.
    Please for the love of god, don’t let there be a giant candy bowl filled with starburst jellybeans…

    My DH has a giant bag of mini candy bars on the bookshelf in our bedroom. So far I have not caved.

    3/28 - 136.5 Yesterday was a good day. Cleaned in preparation for the arrival of DGD#2 this evening.
    3/29 - 136.0 DGD’s flight was delayed about 7 hours so I’m a bit sleep deprived. Today is DGD#3’s 21st birthday. Her mom woke her at 11:45 last night and took her for her first adult beverage and a chance to win at a slot machine.
    3/30 - 134.0 I had 2 eggs for brunch and beef brisket for dinner. 3 sips of celebratory champagne at nail salon. DGD#2 spent the day and night with her cousins and aunt and uncle after the ladies got pedis and I got a mani.
