Soon you'll be able to not only glance at them but pick them up, look at the nutrition label and the pretty picture on the box, think about how much you would (or wouldn't actually) enjoy eating them, and put them back on the shelf and say to yourself, "Not today."12 -
Saw my primary care physician this week. When we were talking about cardiovascular health, she said - with emphasis - "Your cholesterol is phenomenal. I wish more people had cholesterol that good."
It used to be high. My previous PCP, now retired, was encouraging statins. Not wanting to take statins was an important part of my committing to weight loss 9 years ago.22 -
Two workouts today, strength workout before work and just back from a run.13

I have actually read somewhere that fat loss can worsen cholesterol temporarily!7 -
I’m curious. My blood pressure is a bit elevated after weight loss. I know this is kinda an asinine question but I usually wear long sleeves. You’d have no idea I’m muscular unless I stripped down some.
When they do the BP cuff, it gets so painfully tight it cuts off circulation.
Do you think it’s possible that the cuff gives misreadings if it can’t tighten properly over muscle?
(I said it was an asinine question!)
I also got a TDAP over a week ago.( I guess they thought Tetanus might be a good idea after a banging case of road rash.) That went right into the heart of my bicep, and I almost hit the roof. Def a difference versus the last muscular injection I got. My trainer asked me yesterday “is that big bruise from your acccident, too?”
Getting healthier comes with sooooooo many questions.
Thats my NSV for today. Dumb questions, and the fact that I went down hard but came up swinging within a couple days. That wouldn’t have happened before.

My BMI is now 24 down from 27.1 January 1st
I've also lost 10% of my bodyweight.23 -
I needed to buy size 10 jeans today, and I really wasn’t prepared for that!14

I did it anyways!!
When my fitness platform wasn’t streaming correctly instead of just giving up and calling it a day I decided to make my own short hiit routine to do with random exercises I had in my head at the moment. Did some warm up stretches, high knees, pushups, side shuffling, mountain climbers, jumping jacks and jump squats and a short cool down. Just started my watch and switched it up every 30 seconds or so 👍
I did it anyways!!!22 -
Was scared to order a smaller size in jeans.... old ones were baggy... the new ones fit. Probably never ever seen this size as an adult or teenager!19
-
I am finally in single digit jeans. I haven’t been a size 6 since high-school. I went from a 16 to a 6 in just under a year!22
-
Since we're doing "legwear" today: I ordered a pair of XL yoga pants... I will have to return them because they just hang off me Oops I guess I should start looking at size M instead of "slightly smaller than plus size." The brain really does take a minute to catch up!
I recently started a taiko drumming class (Japanese drums). I was a bit apprehensive because I expected to be having trouble with having to be on my feet for an hour and a half. But it hasn't been a problem at all... I'm having a blast
I went for a (very brief) hike the other day, and every time I came to a fork in the trail, I chose the harder path.
Also I've been getting these random urges to sprint (across the parking lot, up a short incline, etc.). It feels great, but also weird because I have never in my life felt the need to run.
Oh and my watch band fits another notch tighter.13 -
Okay. The other day I was wrestling with my pup and all of a sudden one of my rings fell off and flew across the room. Yikes!! Makes me feel great that I'm that much slimmer but it's also sad because I had 2 rings on that finger, both extremely sentimental and I am now storing them in my jewelry box so I don't loose them. Not quite ready to resize and they don't fit on the next finger yet. Kind of bummed.
I never resized I used a very thin ring a size smaller to keep things in place No need for that now as arthritis in my ring finger is now a natural stop on my sti ll slim finger6 -
I went for a walk in the park, then sat down and finally made a commitment to this site. Cancelled Weight Watchers and purchased MFP Premium. I always did so much better when being able to monitor micronutrients, which WW does not offer. I feel so much lighter having decided.17

I was talking to a coworker a couple days after moving my daughter out of her third floor apartment one day, driving home 13 hrs and unloading her the next. She asked if I was sore, which I thought was odd. Answered “no”, and she said “show off” which all had me confused a bit. Then I realized, yeah that would/had been an issue in the past. But honestly I wasn’t sore, never out of breath, and still had plenty of energy after loading up that first day.
It nice to see how my increased fitness is showing up in everyday situations.
Have a great one!18 -
I’ve got muscle forming under my arm fat… I can flex and see an actual ball of muscle 💪 I’ve always been pretty strong but I don’t think I’ve ever been able to see the flex so that’s neat and quite rewarding for my efforts 🎉13

I used to wear my Garmin on a certain notch and it would sit comfortably on my wrist. Three weeks of working out and eating healthy and it's starting to slide further down my arm. Time to change notches!14

My NSV today is weird, but a genuine compliment.
Two weeks ago I rode my bike to the gym, intending to swim laps and do aquafit with my husband.
On the way, I decided to see if my bike could fly. It could not, but turns out I can. For short distances.
I continued to the gym, swam for about twenty minutes, til my hand brushed something, and lit me up. I realized it was my hip, swollen out to here. I managed to climb the ladder out of the pool, hugged a wall for a minute, and then couldn’t stand up. Staff got me into a wheelchair, called the husband, and I went to Urgent Care. No break, thank heavens.
Today at the pool, Mr Inappropriate cornered me. Nice enough fellow, no filter.
“You ok? We were all worried about you! Everyone was panicking and nobody knew what to do. It was like Superwoman had tripped on her cape!”
After I thought about it, that was pretty darned funny, and coming from him, unfiltered and genuine. It absolutely made my day.18
