Scale gave me both 211.0 or 210.9. I went with the 210.9. I managed walking yesterday for 25 minutes, but I was in significant pain last night so I'll be going back to chair exercise today. I still had to get out and run errands early today so there was some walking, plus a blood draw ahead of next week's appts. A good hike from the medical center parking lot. Glad I had a decent tech for the draw. I hate bloodwork, and had to talk myself into going.
@HappyDonkey75 All you can do is keep going. There are people on some of the MFP threads that have been going for years, losing .2-.4 lbs per month, but keeping at it they lost lots of weight over those years. Keep the faith that you're in this for the long term, and over time, the results will happen. You didn't gain it overnight, and you won't lose it overnight either. We're all doing this, so you're doing the right thing, and with us in this journey. You've got this!

May 17 194. Grrr but I guess better than a gain. Went to epcots flower and garden festival and tried lots of yummy food. It helps all the walking and really only try a bite of everything instead of a whole meal. Goal this week is to fill out mfp fully everyday.
May 24 194 UGH. I have been putting in my data everyday this but it was a super stressful week at work so I didnβt workout but once and had a drink after work three days this week. Goal is to keep putting everything into mfp and to workout.

Happy Friday Ya'll. I made it a whole second week of tracking food , sticking to my routine and continuing to drop. Feeling pretty accomplished.
I am so appreciative to have this place to come to for words of encouragement and motivation. Having a place to go , be accountable to and see others are also walking through this journey makes me feel less alone in it. So thanks to all.

I saw a photo of myself from 2018 and gosh I looked so fit and young . Then I saw a very recent photo of myself and I nearly cried. I didn't recognize myself. I am feeling pretty shameful and embarrassed. I guess that alone is motivation enough to keep going and knowing I have to be in it for the long haul if I want to get back to that girl again.

May 25- 202.5- I did not work out yesterday, I needed a day off and my schedule was crammed. The frustrating part is that I was only 59 calories over my daily goal of 1400.(which was one of the best days I have had yet) , I did indulge even with a 350 calories cupcake and a cocktail before dinner. So maybe that did me in..
This is my typical pattern.. It seems like if I don't work out daily the weight just doesn't come off in spite of the low calories. Today , looks like I have to get back on the bike and eliptical.1 -

Two pounds to go in a little under a weekβ¦.i will have to be very careful this long weekend. I did my 1 hour workout yesterday and then ate chipotle lol. Thatβs all I ate for the day though bc itβs so delicious and my entire calories for the day bc they have amazing tortillas. Hoping tomorrow we go to a friends pool so I can get some different leisurely exercise in, and then we plan on yard work Monday. Just have to stay away from the fridge lol.1 -

Honestly, I don't know why I'm losing, but I'll take it. I don't feel I'm doing things differently from a week ago. The scale actually told me 209.8 this morning, but there's no way. Next two readings were 210.4 so I went with that.0 -

This is disappointing . I did a pretty hard work out yesterday, had a good breakfast with two hard boiled eggs , I piece of toast and some berries. T hen was active all day with garden and farm work (shoving manure , hand mowing, weeding, walking up and down the hill to the barns repeatedly.. etc) . Didnβt have one sugar cheat but did have a large dinner . I was STARVING by the time I got in the house and made my own version of Chipotle beef /black bean brown rice bowl.. I didn't have any fresh lettuce to sub in and ended up mounding up too much rice and red meat. When I logged , it was surprisingly 1200 calories. (ooph, its eye opening to see how things really add up)
Will focus on pushing water again today (didn't drink enough yesterday) and maybe sub in a protein shake for lunch instead of any meal.
I feel like this is such a game to try to trick myself and outsmart my body that seems to want to be fat!

So we had Chinese food yesterday for lunch -- if you need proof of how sodium shows up on the scale, there it is. Wasn't happy to see that, and wasn't going to post, but realized that's just stupid. My husband and I wanted Chinese food. We had it -- and it was really good. I didn't have dinner.
@HappyDonkey75 If the scale is your only measure of how you're doing, it's likely going to be a frustrating ride. Just like I'm showing above -- I didn't gain 2 lbs overnight. It's water retention due to sodium. But it shows up on the scale this way. It's misleading. If you see your weight loss on a graph, it's a much different visual. Your 6.5 lb loss for you in two weeks is outstanding. But there are going to be plateaus where it doesn't go down or it goes up due to food, cycles, lack of sleep, medications, etc. And you can't skip life in this -- there will be vacations, birthdays, special occasions where you're going to have other foods. This is all part of the process. So be patient with yourself. You are doing the work and making really good progress. π1 -

Chugging a long 1.2 pounds to go in 4 days. Pushing hard and really watching what I eat, drinking a lot of water. We did yard work yesterday then went to a friends for ribs and potato salad while the kids played in a water slide. Held myself to 2 ribs and a half cup of potato salad then a protein yogurt when I got home. Heading to a pool cook out later today where we are doing burgers, chicken, and the sides. Hoping I can sneak in some water workout while chit chatting and then no bun with my burger if I go that route.4 -

May 28th 202.3- Back up we go.. not entirely unexpected but I am not going to let this discourage me.. I was relatively active over the weekend but still not having the energy I once remember having. I seem to need to take breaks and recoop after a couple of hours of working here around the place doing physical activity. I tried to go on a hike with hills but my elderly dog ran out of gas pretty quickly so we only walked for about 30 minutes. In the afternoon I got the cravings for salty/sweet and ate a few snacks.. about 300 calories worth. Then SO came home from his trip and we went to the brewery early evening. I had two beers but then we ate dinner at home. I was so so tired late afternoon /evening.. I felt completely wiped out and went to be very early.

Confession time β I did not do the workout I promised yesterday . In my defence I have a craft fair to prepare for on Saturday and lost track of time making up some stock. Today it is less likely to rain so I will at least get out for a much needed walk.
@kellyswimmer - you have my sympathy, I remember well the stress of those A level years and children spreading their independent wings.

Cycle showed up early, so that explains a few things going on. Specialist visit yesterday at least ruled out that I have something that requires surgery, but I'm simply in it for a long wait for whatever is wrong --and they couldn't tell me what was wrong, to heal. They want me to keep moving, so I got back on the treadmill yesterday (I did 1 mile, took a break, then did a second mile) and by last night I was in so much pain I took more over the counter meds than usual. I think the treadmill is making this worse, so I'll try to go outside and walk if it's not storming as predicted, or do a walk inside routine. I am honestly afraid to try my stationary bike. I don't think I can pedal with my left leg, even if I dial the resistance low.
@SofaKween I didn't know you are a maker -- I am too, but only sell online. Wishing you lots of luck as you build up inventory for your show.
Hang in there, @kellyswimmer . I bet your daughter is so excited for new adventures. While I'm sure it's stressful, try to think about the FUN she's going to have. I wasn't allowed to do anything like that when I was younger, and really wish I'd had a chance to experience travel more. Sending you some positive energy.
@HappyDonkey75 I'm glad you're still keeping with it, and it sounds like you did a lot this weekend trying to stay active. Being outside and either doing yard work or walking zaps my energy more than working out indoors for some reason. It feels great getting out, but it's definitely a different vibe afterward. Are you taking any extra supplements like a multivitamin now that you're moving more? I'm wondering if that would help any?
