GREAT article! Doing my first 5k in Oct 22nd, but I am on the C25K program. I will only be in week 4...so mainly a walk/jog I guess! Still excited!!!!0 -

Really great post. Definitely bump worthy.
My additions - Inthe book My First Triathlon he says that it is common to have trouble sleeping the night before a race. While it is best to get as much rest as you can if you rest well the prior two nights, you will be good.
The other comes from the race director/volunteer in me - don't be afraid to hang around and cheer for runners finishing after you if you have a chance. As organizers we do our best to encourage a crowd but it tends to thin out. It's always nice to have people at the end whenever you finish.0 -
