๐ Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. ๐
I joined back in September of 2021, which was my first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, I lost 40 pounds and use this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress better๐

May was a tough month. I kind of hit a plateau and only lost maybe a pound. Hoping to get things moving again this month. Best of luck to everyone.

Stayed pretty much the same since February of this yearโฆโฆI will focus on more fresh foods and activities even with a family vacation coming up. The way I will do this is to be mindful of planning out what I eat and drink, otherwise logging after the fact usually doesnโt result in my weight loss goals.

06/01-182.4-(Trend Weight: 185.3)- A bit of an increase today but after a nearly 6 lb loss in 3 days I kind of expected it to level off. Focusing on good habits and continued progress for this month. Maybe the heat will help me to increase my water. Iโve been a little lax on that lately. Good luck everyone this round. Lets enjoy the journey!

06/02-183.4-(Trend Weight: 185.2)- I had another one of my โbecoming-too-commonโ snack fests last night. While I stuck mainly to my โapproved snacksโ, it still put me over on cals, carbs and every macro. I realized later that I had not even really been hungry. I think it was more habit than anything. I have been doing great at sticking to my pre-logged meals that are all within plan and bound to show results. And then comes that evening self-sabotage. Iโve tried everything I can think of including making my final meal so late that Iโve even eaten at 10 or 11 pm all to no avail. Those snacks are going to come afterward, usually about an hour later, no matter what! I have even woke up from a hard sleep to go potty and found my snacks and ate them half-asleep. Itโs time for me to research what I can do about this habitual habit that has become much more than annoying. It reminds me of my hand-to-mouth habit I had to break when I quit smoking 17 years ago. Thatโs when I gained nearly 90 pounds and this whole mess began! Another pound up today. I didnโt go out of town yesterday or today. I didnโt need a restaurant meal so close to that snacking fest. It will have to wait.

I started using this group on March 11. Since then I have seen a 10 pound decrease. This may not seem like much but I am soooo glad I keep coming back. I know at the end of this month I will be camping therefore wonโt be able to do a final weigh in but I keep trying and not giving up. Iโm slowly transitioning to a low carb diet and hope to see bigger results but this place has held me accountable and kept me honest! Thank you to anyone who reads this and I hope you get what you want out of this group! (Also I didnโt post on June 1 but did weigh)

I have a physical follow up in November. So, current goals are:
1. lose enough weight to get my wedding ring back on by the end of July
2. be down to 270 at the most by November. Thatโs only 5 lbs per month. Really trying to be realistic because I am working, and weight loss always has its ups and downs. (Donโt need anymore stress than Iโm already under.๐)
