Tracey – the doc said that when I put my foot down (when stepping) I’m hitting the bone. He said that I should continue to stretch and he prescribed the orthotic, which I’ll probably either get or get fitted for this Tues. The orthotic is going to keep the pressure off the spot on my foot. But he did say that it’ll go away. Happy Anniversary!
Annie – feel better fast
Lanette – have fun at your lunch.
Stopped at Sam’s. I want to get a ribeye for Jess and they’re the only place that sells Prime. To me, Choice is too fatty. They said I had to come back in ½ hr and they’d have more. I wasn’t about to walk around for ½ hr so I came home. Now need to go back. On my way I’ll buy gas.

Afternoon ladies
Back from the nutritionist...she was very pleased with my weight loss and i gave her a sampling of what I have been eating.. she wants me to eat more, eat 3 meals a day between 1200- 1500 calories and 40 grams of protein because of the kidneys..I have done no sweets no bakery items, just a few low carb breads and lots of fruits and vegetables.
I think I lack the where withal to gather 3 meals a day together as im a grazer..but ol Allie will figure it out.
Tracey- Happiest of Anniversaries to you hope its a wonderful day for you.
Annie ,Pip hope your feeling on the up and up.

Heather - Glad you're continuing to improve, too... Sorry it was a rough night for you.
Went out to get clothes off the line, got too hot, blood pressure tanked, but not quite as badly. At least I recognize it now. Sitting down in the cool air... and it's already inching up again. I'll stay sat until it gets up in the safe range. That's OK, got clothes to fold.

Ezie and I picked the first real picking of raspberries from the front yard.
This picture is what I picked. Ezie ate hers while she was picking- only had a small amount to bring in to have with her lunch. She was so happy. It took a long time for me to get her to try them, now I can't keep her out of them.
Today is her first day of summer vacation.

Lanette: I signed up on some site and received pictures of men as well. At first I thought I might date, but I am not interested now. I am tired in the evenings and want to relax and listen to an audio book.
I have not been feeling well this June. I only went back 5 pages. My son is here now and will be here through Father's Day. He has gotten into pickleball and wants me to play pickle ball with him. I am not sure I have the energy at the present time.

Tracy - Happy anniversary!
Pip and Annie - Feel better soon.
Allie - congrats on the weight loss.
Went to the Y today for water exercise and ran into the tenant from Hades in the locker room. She called me a liar then sent a text saying she was going to sue me for talking about her with another woman in my class. Found out she is not a member nor does she work there, she was just there to take a shower. Makes me wonder if she lost her job at the hospital. She was showering at work when she lived in the cabin here. Sorry to find out she is still in the area. Yuck!
Everyone take care, Sue in WA9 -
Sue- gosh can't get rid of her huh? She sounds like a user and Karma will come back to bite her in the butt.
I am a bit overwhelmed i have to grocery shop again...but want to get the right stuff, but to do that I have to go to different stores.
I can do grocery store pick up for a couple.. but have to kinda figure out what im going to eat the next few weeks.
Oh well..I'll figure it out.4 -
Dealing with cold issues today so just two cups of broth today with toast. Its my go to when I'm under the weather.
I didn't even want coffee this morning! I slept for about 2 hours today. Taking night time cold medicine tonight. Poor husband usually sleeps elsewhere on nights like these.

Thank you all for the anniversary wishes.
We didn’t do anything special at all. I went to ceramics and he watched a hockey game and napped.
Annie - I hope you feel better fast, there is a big going around here that had my granddaughter and youngest daughter out for a few days last week and early this week.
Carol - I hope you and DH get some answers soon.
Machka - that’s how I clean.
Heather - sorry you out in a rough night, I hope you’re sleeping soundly tonight.
That show sounds interesting, I may see if I can find it here.
Allie - I am a grazer too. Can you just time the grazing out a bit, it doesn’t take much to get that number of calories.
Sue - I hope running into her doesn’t discourage you from your water time, I know how much you enjoy it.
I am currently avoiding a whole city in the event I might run into my old boss so I surely understand it though.
I had a good day, sunny and not a lot of wind!
I’m glad tomorrow is Friday though.

Yeah!
A day of firsts.
As I said, I had my first adventure up to the top floor. Felt like a foreign land.
I didn't take any codeine all day and all night. After my gut reaction the previous evening, I hope I'm finished with it.
I was able to sleep in my preferred position for the first time. On my front, slightly propped up on my affected side by a cushion. Lovely! This is big!
Yesterday evening, my hip was far more comfortable.
I was able to actually enjoy an alcoholic drink.
Plus I had a nice long phone call with my old uni flatmate, A. Our last call, before the op, went a bit sour as she tried to push her beliefs and remedies on me, with the best of intentions I'm sure, but, as you can imagine, that didn't go down too well. I don't do woo-woo. Anyway, all is forgiven, and we had a great catchup. She, like me, is intent on spending all their hard-saved money, and not saving it for the kids inheritance. They are always off on some exotic break. This year they have been to Antigua and Florence. They live in some forsaken, damp, part of South Wales, so I don't blame them!
So, a good day. Today I have the excitement of going out to the hospital. Hooray!

Good morning, all. It’s a brighter day today, but still forecasting showers.
Carol: Sending good vibes as you navigate the doc’s visits for your dear husband.
Heather: Another milestone to recovery. It surely helps that you were so fit to start with. It’s so wonderful to hear the joy in your words.
Sue: You could block TTFH’s number on your phone.
Michele: I hope the orthotics do the trick.
I sorted all the laundry out yesterday, then went to flower arranging. This afternoon I will go to card making.

Good morning ladies!
Thanks for all the well wishes, I am feeling slightly better this morning. Yay! And thank you for the meme Machka. It's good to remember that you all care about me.
Today is day two of adult day care, so I should have some free time for a nap or a shower or something. I am almost out of dog food but I think I will take Dad with me to the pet store. He doesn't like shopping, but it's not always his choice.
Have a great day, and may you all be happy, healthy, safe and free!

Good morning from the cool before the scorch of another Arkansas River Valley nearly-summer day... No rain in the two-week projections, and that's pretty typical.
Have to leave in 15 minutes for the final Skyrizi infusion, then they'll move me to at-home injections. I'll find out more about that at the gastro appt two weeks from now. Got a whole week next week with no appointments outside the house!
This weekend is our son and his DSO coming in, and possibly my DBIL, for a Father's Day lunch with Corey's favorite foods... although if he wants traditional American potato salad, he'll have to make it. I'm reasonably sure that potatoes should not ever be eaten cold, but not many people agree with me. He made an absolutely amazing (hot) roasted garlic mashed potatoes.
I steeped and made up a Thai basil and lemon tea for him, and will stop and get some fresh ginger today on the way back home, I think. It will make a great addition to the tea - his suggestion, and a good one. Hopefully it will make it smell better! Right now, it smells just like the wet grass mixed with gas and dirt that comes out from under the mower each weekend. Goes to show you can make something for someone else that you wouldn't eat or drink in a million years.
Except potato salad. Urk. 😜
Gotta fly - need to turn off the sprinkler going on his garden and get out the door.
Later, y'all,
Happy Friday!
Love,

Terri ... that is a beautiful arrangement!!
Heather ... so glad to hear your recovery is going well!
Rebecca ... hope you feel better soon ...
My cousin, whom I haven't seen in decades, is coming this weekend to visit my mom (one of her favorite aunts). She will be staying with us for one evening. Nothing like expected company to make you clean and declutter in a hurry. ALL of my mom's stuff from her assisted living apartment has been put away (or hidden)!
Have a great weekend!

Lisa ~ Publix has wonderful Southern Potato salad.
Terri ~ Your flower arrangement is beautiful! You are so talented in so many different ways.
Sue ~ That former renter sounds like she has a few screws loose.
Rebecca ~ Hope you feel better soon.
Annie ~ So nice that you can get away if only for a while. Hope your dad continues to enjoy the center.
Rosemarie ~ You've been missed!
My son's family is going to St Augustine Beach this weekend and we get to keep the dogs. The two dogs are very big and are getting old so hope they will enjoy their visit with us. We did keep them one other summer vacation and boy did they shed a lot of hair.

Good morning ladies!
It's a brisk 38 degrees at my house right now. Middle of June. Long cool summer perhaps.
For Michael Mosley/ZOE fans, here's an interview with him & Tim Spector a year ago:
Heather - good, good news. Just think of how much you've recovered in a week's time.
Sue - what in the world is that psycho still doing in your community? Was she from there originally? I wonder if she's now living in her car. Seems strange she's not a member of the gym but is allowed to shower there - sounds like a homeless situation to me. I was hoping she was long gone and far away. As Annie says, stay safe!
Annie - glad that you seem to be getting over the worst of the crud. I wonder if some of us have allergies on top of cold viruses and other respiratory bugs.
Rebecca - sending good thoughts to you as YOU navigate through your illness too.
Rosemarie - glad you popped in. Totally agree that bringing a guy into our lives via these online dating sites when we want to relax won't work for us right now. I'm having trouble keeping energy up every day as well.
Had a nice lunch with my friend M yesterday and came home and napped. I'm going to keep blaming allergies and the weather.
Allie - great job with the weight loss and good luck with shopping and meal planning. I think I've gotten out of the habit of cooking.
Yesterday I received next Monday's class outline for the diabetes prevention class. It's all about portion control and tracking. Guessing how many calories are in a portion of food v. what the real count is - illustrated by something like MFP where we enter that info. I know this is new to many people in my class. My experience so far has been if my goal is to lower carbs and concentrate on lean protein, fiber and healthy fats, the calories take care of themselves.
I have a "blind man" scheduled this afternoon. My huge old insulated accordion pleated window blind needs to have a cord replaced. Maybe all three need to be replaced. There's no way I could have taken it down (too heavy!) and brought it into the shop, so luckily he makes house calls. I guess I'll take the books off the coffee table, maybe that's where he'll work on it. Or on the floor? Will have to drug Rosie with CBD so she doesn't try to help, lol. She'll probably get relegated to the back bedroom to drown out her barking. Sigh.
Heading down to the corner to grab goodies from the produce guy. He opens at 7 and I like to get first pick.
Make it a super day!

Found out that Healthie sinks with MFP through FitBit. I’ll have to change some of my settings as I switched to an Apple Watch, but better than logging the same stuff twice and Healthie doesn’t have a very good food database. I can sync everything through the Apple Health App so not too bad.
@Allie, if you like grazing, maybe fix the food for a day and just graze on that? You could fix it the night before then just graze through the day. Eating every 3 hours would give you 6 meals a day. Splitting 1400 calories into 6 is about 233 calories each time. That should keep you satisfied and your grazing under control! Just my two cents.

Went to my wound check. John drove me there. The nurse peeled off my big bandage and pronounced it 'perfect'. I looked in the mirror, and was impressed by the thin line. No redness.
She said to just leave it free now. Showers, but not baths for another two weeks. And I could get a new tube of wound cream to massage it with. I've ordered some fancy French stuff from Amazon, just because....... Arrives tomorrow.
I must say, it 'pulls' a bit more without the bandage on, so I'm more conscious of it, but I guess that will improve.
Came home knackered. I was unaccountably nervous before I went, and I'd woken up for the day at 5 am. So, I had a nice nap.
John is prepping the mushroom risotto we are having for dinner. I will do the stirring etc. Friday night is wine night, so we are having a rosé.
So, another step forward.

Yum - strawberry shortcake is a favorite of mine.
Well I did online ordering for Walmart and Sams to pick up tomorrow, today I'll go to aldi and shoprite and just pick up the things I have on my list.

See what you have first in your cabinets, freezer, and pantry to make meals, and add ingredients accordingly. Have easy meal nights when what you planned just isn't in the cards. Only buy what's on your list.😁💖🤗

Well I'm feeling better today. Have that familiar light headed, achy feeling of vertigo coming on though. Vertigo issues do coincide with my colds interestingly enough.
Today heading to Anacortes, WA, a city right as you leave the island from Deception Pass bridge. Husband wants to go to the book store there, and I want to play the piano that's there!
There are lots of antique shops I will be dragging my husband into. We are going to try a new restaurant neither of us have been to.
Tomorrow I am cooking baked potatoes, steak and a lobster tail, with a nice salad. Its my birthday dinner meal. I wanted to have lobster but not have to pay an outrageous price for both lobster and steak at a restaurant. So just making it at home.
My dermatologist did a good job taking biopsies on both my toe and leg spots. She is new there and was shadowing the head doc that day. Practice on me, sure! I told her she had a light and caring manner. The lidocaine smarter and I winced but then I felt nothing.
As a treat for not screaming I got a coffee cake. I decided that would be my birthday cake and have had a slice most every day. Its a rhubarb strawberry almond thing, just delightful. My husband said if I screamed and he could hear me out in the car, he was just gonna drive away.😂😂 He's such a smart (butt). The doctor commended to me on my bravery. I think they pour the compliments on kinda thick so that we'll come back.
This year I am turning 62 which is kind of a "meh" age for me. There's a part of me that does not really wish to celebrate, or do anything Facebook card obligatory silly thing. I have my birthday off on there, I don't mind if people say it, just not a fan of family members that don't say boo all year then on my birthday its all love and smiles. Seems so artificial.
