MISSING NEWSFEED
i've not been able to see my NewsFeed for about 4 days, has anyone else noticed this?
if i use the MFP app, it works as usual, however i'd like to view the newsfeed once again using the Safari web browser. Am wondering if the problem is only with Apple tech products?

They are phasing out the newsfeed. Several discussions in the forums, but i can't put my finger on the announcement.1

Lots of people leaving and going over to Lose It. It's easier to talk to friends over there4

This makes me so sad. I only use MFP over other apps just to talk to friends and have motivation.5

Lose it works good !!1

I’m using Ryse. It’s a free workout/meal/weight planner/tracker where you can stay private or post daily progress to followers.1

This makes me so sad. My sister and I always motivate each other on MFP thru the newsfeed!3

MFP didn't make a formal announcement about them removing the Newsfeed feature, they made an announcement about an "Activity Feed" which is NOT a replacement of the soon-to-be removed Newsfeed, and they didn't allow comments on that announcement because they don't care or want our opinions on this newest lapse of judgment. MFP did this on purpose so the removal of the Newsfeed would be a done deal before much "upheaval" from its users. There is a thread in the "Feature, Suggestions and Ideas" forum where the removal is being discussed, with little interaction from the powers that be at MFP. I would urge those of you who use the Newsfeed to make an announcement of its removal while you can so that more Newsfeed users will find this out before their Newsfeed goes missing (which is supposed to be complete by the end of this month). Not that I think it will make a difference to MFP, but simply to bring awareness and allow MFP users time to find a way to keep in touch with their MFP friends before it's too late. I know Lose It is at least one app which users are migrating to, which is one of the few tracking apps that also has a Newsfeed. Good luck everyone.13

This is awful that the newsfeed is gone, and my food logging isn’t working either… I’ve been using this app for years! And now I think I might need to find a new one 😩2

There was an official announcement, but very well hidden:

Not happy with where MFP is going!! Might be time to find a app that cares about what we want!🥲2

I don't think lose it is for Androids though I looked for it in my Google Play store and couldn't find it.
fat secret seems to have some kind of a feed. What I don't like about fat secret is you have to be premium to log water... That's dumb and it doesn't have as complete a nutrition breakdown as MFP does.
But maybe it does if you're a premium user over there. I just renewed my MFP premium and now I'm mad. I didn't use the news feed a lot but I did scroll through it I would comment on other people's updates.
What a ham fisted idiotic move0 -
Lose It definitely exists for Android. But perhaps they have certain requirements regarding the Android version that make it inaccessible for some?0

I don't know I have a very recent like the most recent version of the Samsung Galaxy so I don't know why it didn't show up in my Play store. I searched for it and instead I got all different results.0 -
I had the newsfeed on my laptop until yesterday. Now it's gone!!! I'm so sad.3

Does anyone know *why* they would remove the feed? It's silly to have a friends list that we can't really interact with.
