What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

I want to become 100lbs as my big goal (I'm 5'0" so its healthy), but getting to 110lbs is my smaller goal, only 2.4 pounds to go. I've luckily lost 19.6 pounds since last May12

@jennydowd I was inspired by your approach! I've been on my journey since November 2022 and I have chosen to lose the weight at a slower pace. I have already lost 10% and when I did the math...I am only 1.5 pounds away from 20%. (I may have already reached it but I only weigh myself about twice a month on the very accurate Community Centre scale. It keeps me from obsessing over the scale.)
I was "stuck" on a final weight to settle on. So I reduced the 20% loss by another 10%.....and found my number! It's perfect....thank you! An additional 10% (beyond that) would be far too small for me. Also....my final number is less than 20 pounds away....and I have already lost 34 pounds. Achievable!!
Best of luck on your journey!! Don't worry so much about the time frame....it's the consistency and keeping it off that's important.8 -
My mini goal is to hit 5 miles daily until my knee surgery, and to lose .5 lbs for each of the next 2 weeks. I’m on vacation as of this past Tuesday through the 20th, so keeping some semblance of healthy eating is a little more challenging.4

I don't know if I mentioned this, but I want to get out of plus sizes, I'm pretty busty and wear a 1X shirt, even after losing 12 pounds. This, not to mention size 18 pants which hasn't budged as well. If I can get down to XL/size 16 I'll be really impressed with myself. I'm hoping that if I can get down to 180 (I'm 188 now) I can get there.9

My mini goal is to preplan and record my food for today and to review yesterday.9

My current mini goal is to make weight loss less stressful by reducing the amount of time spent cooking. I have been filling my freezer with portioned out leftovers/meal preps at least twice a week + cook enough dinner for my work lunches and kids' school/camp lunches. I was cooking 2-3 times a day on top of counting every macro (already stressful enough). I've been cooking way bigger meals when I do cook, and I meal prep on a weekend day.
Before, I would just order food when I didn't feel like cooking but that would set me back calorie wise (and financially) even if I ordered healthier options. Now we plan a restaurant day 2x a month so I can still enjoy being a part of society and have a day to not do dishes.
My other mini-ish goal is to deadlift 200lbs.
Sorry this was so long...12 -
My mini goal is to make a plan to reintroduce some cooking to my life, and to include my sons so we can all be healthier.
I hate cooking and for years have been satisfied—and lost 65 lbs—without it. Don’t need to order in; enjoyed a lot of fresh or minimally processed foods and ate very clean.
I’ve been struggling for three years bc I missed the seasoning of many ethnic foods and I need to stop ordering in.8 -
My mini-goal is to get my daily sodium down to 1500mg. Harder than I originally thought, lol.7

@Neon_hippie There are many adjustments you can make to lower your salt intake, as I'm sure you know. One thing that is not very well known (I think) is salt alternatives: you can read more here (be aware that people with some health conditions should not use lite salt):

@takinitalloff I'm one of the people who get a metallic taste when I have potassium chloride (as with the "natural" sweeteners like Splenda, etc. where I get a very bitter taste). However, I love the thought of playing around with herbs and such because it never occurred to me to try it! I think cutting out salt leaves everything pretty bland--I'll try some of the suggestions they had in the article instead. Thank-you!5

I think it's walking past a mirror and seeing my clothes fitting better.6

I've almost reached 100 pounds lost, so hitting that 100 is what's motivating me right now.15

My first mini goal was 10% of my body weight. I did that, and the next goal was to get my BMI below 40.
A few days ago, I hit that goal, so my next mini goal is to reach the loss of 15% of my body weight. 4 pounds to go!
I have planned out a whole series of little goals over the course of this year. The little victories keep me motivated!
My first "medium" goal is to lose 50 pounds by 7 Sept for a big event. That milestone will also put me at 20% of my body weight lost. 33 down. 17 to go!
Quoting my own post to say that I met my next mini-goal of losing 15% of my body weight. Woohoo!
My next mini-goal is to have lost 40 lbs. by the time I leave to visit my family on July 8th.
3.6 pounds to go!8 -
My mini goals are in 10# increments until I reach goal weight. I need to take it small, so I don't get overwhelmed, and it seems to be working. Slow and steady...12

My mini goal is to get to 95 kgs (209 pounds) on my way to 68 kg (150 pounds).
I currently weigh 99kgs (218); current loss 9 pounds.7 -
I’m 104.4 kg and I have been 103.5-105 kg for 1,5 years. I can’t wait to see 102 kg and less.8

Have been stuck between 158-161 for MONTHS and months, looking forward to getting to 155 and then getting below that.6

@lolakinks With your username I'm assuming you've seen this awesome video, but just in case

1. I want to be at about 62 lbs lost (I've lost 57 lbs so far). My son (who is 8) weighs about that much. He'll think it's amazing that I've lost as much as he weighs and it's a great visual for me.
2. I had set mini goals of 10% weight loss (instead of focusing on the big number). I'm currently working on my 3rd 10% goal. I have about 8 lbs to go for that one
please share tips for it.3 -

My first mini goal is to drink 2 litres of water a day.
My second mini goal is to hit 5,000 steps a day ( very sedentary office job).
My third mini goal is to lose the next 9 lbs.7 -
So since this is just mini-goals I have 2 I'm working on right now:
1. Go to the gym 5-6x a week. (Following half-marathon running plan)
2. Eat better.
So far so good. Fell off after 6mo or so of solid weight loss, so hoping it won't be too hard to get back into it.8 -

It feels like forever since I have posted! It's only been two weeks. Today I walked to the Community Centre. I reached my goal! I've lost TWO POUNDS. I HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST 20% OF MY WEIGHT SINCE LATE NOVEMBER 2022.
I HAVE LOST 36 POUNDS.....18 X 2. THATS THE SAME AS A COUNTER TOP MICROWAVE 😩
The 150's are now forever behind me. I am now just 5 pounds away from reaching "Normal weight"..I have successfully made it thru Obesity.....Overweight......and soon.....Marginally Overweight will also no longer apply. My goal is August 11th for an event. 😁14 -
I've been off again on again for losing weight for years, the only other time I had a good start in losing was when I 1st jointed here in 2018, I lost 30#, then hit pause, then started gaining.
March 2024, my gallstones went on a mission to attack anytime I ate something high in fat.
Though I wouldn't recommend it, it is quite easy to lose weight when you have to be careful what you eat or suffer horrible stomach / back pain.
I have lost 47 pounds in 3 months, ( yes I know that is high ), but I wasn't trying to lose that much that quickly, I stopped eating snacks, no chocolate, no peanut butter, ( OMG that was hard ).
It's now been so long, I don't crave chocolate or peanut butter. My gall bladder is out, but I'm in no hurry to eat what I couldn't.
So when I 1st started I made up goals, lose 10% of weight, get down 220#, out of morbidly obese, into obese, get to 200# ( 199 actually...) 180# my goal weight!!!
I have passed the 1st two goals!!! My next mini goal is getting to 200/199#.
I have that firmly in my sights, I haven't been this low in probably 20 years.
I'm not doing anything extra, just what I've been doing for the past 3 months. I know I'm going to plateau here at some point, but I hope with me increasing my workouts regularly, it won't be a long plateau... fingers crossed.6 -
