    I lost a bit of weight by changing my habits eating at restaurants. I only eat out if I am with others and just get one entrée, no sides.
    I quit drinking cream/sugar after 2 cups of coffee..most days
    I've been trying to eat breakfast most days, but haven't noticed any differences.
    Also, I have been eating 2 bean or legume dishes per week and not noticed any difference in my weight.
    Trying to figure out what small changes I can make to drop these last 10 pounds without counting every calorie!
    I'm going to eat a peanut butter sandwich and small salad every day for lunch this week!!!

    May 5:147 I've been sticking to all of the above changes pretty well...still trying to eat breakfast more often. The main change, here lately, is that I've stopped counting calories. I do have my meals,1500-1700 calories per day, logged all the way until June and I am going to try to keep to the plan!
    May 15:145 I didn't feel well for a few days w/sore throat & just ate bananas and apple sauce and toast...the worst way to lose a few pounds!

    June 1:145 I've been getting more sleep w/school being out..I'm sure that is not hurting my weight loss goals!
    June 11: 146 Not as much as I expected after eating pizza all weekend. I did eat just one or two pieces with a salad, not half the pizza like I used to. 😋

    I found some really good fish dinners that you can steam in microwave for 6 minutes at Walmart, but they have 80% saturated fat! I looked up steaming fish in the microwave and it is so easy! I'm going try it this week..maybe cauliflower rice, carrots, and greenbeans and frozen salmon with some soy sauce..wrap in parchment paper and microwave for 5 or 6 minutes.

    06/17-187.0-(Trend Weight: 184.7)- Whoa Nelly! I guess the multiple social events and travel has finally caught up with me! Today’s plan….. very low carb and low calorie day using the lowest numbers on my zig-zag plan (1050 calories). Since there was no TMI today I will load up on drinking water which should be easy since it will be 92 degrees today. I don’t have A/C so I will have to be very careful about exercise outside or inside. I will see how that goes this evening. I am hopeful I will shed some water weight and see where I actually land and where the real work begins. Feeling capable and strong right now as I drink my late morning coffee. I hope my resolve sticks around and lasts through the evening. I have many snack monsters to fight each night so I will spend the day sharpening my swords and preparing for the battle! In the big picture, I am nearly 10 pounds over my goal weight today. Clearly I won’t be making goal in June, In fact, it’s almost impossible that I will even make my June starting weight. But I will take whatever redemption progress I can get since it will make July’s job a bit easier. Forward and March Soldier!

    06/24-187.4-(Trend Weight: 185.5)- Spiraling out of control since all the travel and events. Old habits and cravings come back so easily but are so hard to beat back down. I’ll be working on this issue all week. Especially at night time when the snack monsters seem to come out in full force. All good food in the house, but that doesn’t mean you can’t overeat!

    @Sweetzyd Sorry to hear about your pet. I recommend getting her checked out by a veterinarian (whether by yours or her new family's), as unusual aggression can sometimes be a symptom of pain or other health issues. There are other ways to prevent similar issues in the future, including dog training; adequate supervision when kids & pets are together; setting up a "quiet space" where the critter can get away for some quiet alone time when needed; and making sure the kiddo knows how to be respectful around animals. But a health check should always be the first step! (I realize you may already know all of this, but just in case.)

    Starting this thread the last day of April; however, I kept track of April weight sporadically. I did not set a goal in April, tho. STARTING WEIGHT AND DATE WITH MFP(MY FITNESS PAL): 160.2 2/20/2011 — been on & off since then. I’m back to being serious about getting healthier. Weight loss goal weight: 98 lbs (give or take & this goal is subject to change due to age, etc) keep in mind my height is 4’8” (have shrunk 3 inches over the last 15 years). Age: 62

    June 17: 154.2 Fathers Day weekend was an emotional time & I ate emotions good & bad. Only 2 days & not a binge but not good calorie wise nor were my choices. Saturday was very depressed all day. Sunday was the exact opposite. Such fantastic news & entire day! Celebration due to the exciting news!! ( I’ll share the news as soon as I’m permitted to). The rest of the week, I did great as far as planning meals & sticking to my plan. So, at least I didn’t gain!

    I'm going to go ahead and say 5 pounds lost for this challenge! I am happy with this as I feel like I'm getting to my goal of 139-140 lbs, albiet very slowly, by implementing various easy lifestyle changes.
