Kia ora,
It's Michelle here! I have a lot to learn about strength training and nutrition. I have been having difficulty eating the required amount of protein, I can barely eat more. I had a sore shoulder & arms during the 3rd or 4th week, so took a couple of days break till my trainer told me to come to training to do lower intensity stretches & training. By that time, my shoulder was better & I was feeling good. Lifting a barbell is rather awkward, which is probably the reason I put my shoulder out, probably due to weakness. Nice to know there are experienced people who could give some advice.

Stretching is # 1 before cardio or strength training, especially the hamstrings. If this isn't stretched really well it will cause back issues and injuries.0
