Do you eat ALL of your calories and still lose weight?
I usually have a few hundred calories left over and lose a pound or few a week.
I was wondering if I ate them ALL?

I've been doing this since last may, and I always eat all my calories and I'm down 40 pounds.0

I have always had anywhere from 100- 200 calories not eaten, and yes I lose weight. Today I ended up eating 19 calories over. This really was of no concern to me - but the stupid end of day comment said i would weigh 158 in 5 weeks. It usually has said I would weigh 155 inn 5 weeks. Are you kidding me - seriously ....I am LMAO! The comments could drive a person mad and/or assist with thought of anorexia.1

Have you noticed the lines at the end when you finish registrating all meals??? it says a note like you are not eating what your body needs. ... pay attention to it.... if you eat all your calories and drinks water you will loose quickly weight, I have had about 500 calories remaining every day, until I noticed this lines.... so now I am eating at least 1,200 daily.. check your program...!!!!

Currently, I'm allowed 1590 before exercise.
If I remember correctly, when I started, I was allowed 1620. Each time I update, it seems to get reduced a little.0 -
I see thatt last line every time I log my food. I am not about to eat another somethign of food because I am 150 calories off...seriously. It is usually late - I am tired and rest is more important than 150 damn calories! So how does every one get spot on .qith your calories?0

I usally have 300-700 left over and like another said, I don't want to eat them just to eat them. I want to go to bed.
Tonight is the lowest I have ever gotten. Right now I only have 156 left. But I'm pretty sure I can hear some left-over Easter candy calling me!0 -
I’m just starting and need all the tips I can get , thanks everyone 😊0

Hi, @bermie1958, and welcome!
The best source for tips is the "Most Helpful Posts" section in the "Getting Started" part of the MFP Community, direct link here:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300331/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest
. . . or the similar section in "Health and Weight Loss", direct link here:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300319/most-helpful-posts-health-and-weight-loss-must-reads#latest
Those are all posts that some regular MFP user wrote, and others found so helpful that they wanted them to stick around long term, rather than disappearing into the mists of history. (Some people call them "the stickies" because they do stick around.) There's a lot there, but it can be good to chip away at reading the ones that sound the most on point to you at the time - there's gold in there. I learned a lot from them when I was starting out.
Also, reading other posts in the Community can be informative. Don't be afraid to comment on those.
That said, you'd probably get more replies to your request for tips by starting a new thread, rather than replying to this one from 2010 on a slightly different topic.
Wishing you success here!

When I was actively losing weight (I lost ~25lbs over ~9 months or so)- I ate all of my calories per day with very few exceptions.
I ate back typically 100 percent of my exercise calories as well with few exceptions.1 -
If your loss is around a pound a week then your calories are correct. Eating more and the loss will be less.
If you are a small female with little fat to lose you could go down to a 1/2 lb per week loss0
