I'm new here

Hi there!
I'm a 52 year old RN, and I have seen my weight increase as my job stress increased and my hormones decreased. I think maybe I've been kind of in a perfect storm situation? Whatever the case, I have GOT to get extra weight off. My goal weight is 140#. I currently weigh 243#. I feel so ashamed and also overwhelmed even writing this! But it is what it is, and I'm doing something about it.

I made a job change in January to get out of a job that kept my stress levels maxed out all. the. time. Of course beginning a new job has been a stress of its own, but after these months I'm feeling more settled career wise. I've cut out sugary drinks- I'm looking at you coca-cola! I've upped my water and focused on at least 7 hours of sleep each night. Still no movement on the scale to speak of. So here I am to tackle my really big hurdle of meal tracking to insure my calories and macros are where I need them to be.

So that's me in a nutshell! Would love to find new friends so we can offer encouragement and accountability. :)
