Unable to see content for longer discussions

Hi!
I’ve been experiencing an issue where older discussion threads with a lot of posts no longer show me the latest replies (See screenshot). I can open the thread and see the first page, but I can’t just jump to today’s updates. This happens both in the app and on the desktop version.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Updating the app
Reinstalling the app
Signing out and back in
Using the desktop version instead of the app
None of these have worked so far. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix?

(Sorry for posting in success stories, but thats where all the threads that I have issues with are)

Thanks in advance for any help!

It's a known problem being worked on by Vanilla Forums, which hosts the Community for MFP.

Mean time, you can find the content by paging back a few pages using the page-number/arrow keys near the bottom of the pages. In most cases, it seems to be only 1-2 pages back, but there are a few threads where it's more.

List of some of the larger threads with links to the last active pages. And some talk on finding the last active pages.

The gaps do seem to be getting even longer.

I get this too , so basically we need to just ignore old threads and start fresh ones if we want to see replies??

I don't think so. Last I heard, MFP was hoping Vanilla Forums would have this fixed yet this month (October).

If we start duplicating any of the useful long-term threads, we'll be stuck with the duplicates permanently. Either the older thread will get lost (with all of the useful posts that were in it), or both will continue in a confusing way. This seems like permanent dysfunctional "solution" to a very temporary problem.

The old threads will almost certainly work fine once the problem is corrected. Until then, why not just page back a couple/few pages? Yeah, it's annoying for the moment.

I just did a selfie one to revive the place a bit, not much useful info lost on that one 😂

I’ve gone back several pages and still no luck, it’s gotten worse since I was last here. Such a shame it’s killing the social side of mfp and I think that was one of the great features about it you don’t get with many other forums.
