Yes to the above. Any process that causes weightloss has the potential to cause rebound. Maintaining the lower weight seems to be a bigger challenge than the actual loss process in many cases.

I am type two diabetes and have been mounjaro since last October. I have lost 50 pounds and last measured my A1c went from 7.4 to 5.7. In the midst of this last year, I was also diagnosed with stage one breast cancer, underwent surgery and radiation. All is good as far as the cancer is concerned, I will say that being on the medication has helped my brain say no. In the past I would eat or over eat if I was having a bad day. My brain would tell me I deserve it. Never once during my radiation did I do that. Which is a win on its own for me.
I focus on proteins, fruits, and vegetables and water, and I’ve had minimal side effects. But the best side effect I have is saying I’m full, and stopping to eat, whether my plate is empty or not. This is the best gift that this particular medication has given me.
I feel that I am losing at a good rate, and creating better eating habits than I’ve ever had. Thanks to the addition of medication. It’s not for everybody. I understand that, but we need to understand the science., And be supportive of everyone during their journey. Because the journey is different for everyone.

Been on Zepbound for 6 weeks now. Before getting the shot, I was operating on a consistent calorie defecit, tracking food and hitting the gym 4 to 5 days a week. I spent months on a plateau stuck on the same weight regardless of how well I was doing with my activity and calorie goals. I stayed the course because it was the right thing to do, and I was still feeling better even though the weight would just not go down at all. I am now down about 28 lbs total after my inital 10lb loss from getting my "lifestyle changes" locking into diet and working out.

The shot has killed food noise for me, and let me get the message that I've eaten enough so I can stop. I have friends who have had a ton of success on it. my only regret is that I didn't try it sooner.

I'm currently on 2.5 and doing well, I'm considering keeping this dose for a while before jumping up. I feel really good overall. No crazy side effects and the weight is going steadily in the right direction (zig zaggy but down eventually)

I have no idea what Zep Bound is however I will tell you that all these programs that help you lose weight are not the long term cure for being overweight. Long term is lifestyle changes that include a diet that is sustainable.

    Well said.

You are injection who knows what chemicals in your body instead of putting the work in and controlling your calories.

People who are prescribed GLP-1 inhibitors also put in the work and control their calories.

Time to take the blinders off. People are overweight because largely they eat more than they need to or have been eating the S.A.D full of garbage processed food! Don't worry though big Pharma is here to save the day and profit nicely from it. :)

I used to be someone who thought like you, until I realized that my weight is a result of medical issues that are beyond my control. I have an extremely high drive for food that is a chemical imbalance, PCOS, and hypothyroidism. There is nothing wrong with taking medication for weight loss like there is nothing wrong with taking medicine for depression or any other medical issue. It’s about time the medical industry looks at weight issues as a medical issue vs just putting the fork down. Studies are also showing the benefits of these medications, such as a drop in heart related issues.
