Week 14 actual weight: 138 lb. I'm calling it done. I wanted to get below 140 lb, and I've kept at that for nearly a month. I'm at a healthy BMI and heeling good, I could keep chasing those final 5 vanity pounds but losing is becoming much harder without a lot more exercise or feeling hungry. I think my body is telling me it feels comfortable at this weight.

Thoughts at the beginning of this challenge:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl, uphill, both ways. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I CAN make, no matter how big or small. Sadly, I gained a little over 6 pounds last round. I hope to turn all that back around this round. After all, here in Northern Michigan I wait a very long time each year to finally get to good weather and more outside activity. I really want to capitalize on the good weather in the summer months and increase activity and drop pounds. I’m failing miserably with this so far in 2024. Time to maximize the rest of summer and early fall with challenge #20 and make the magic happen! I am so very grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I’ve been on an upswing for the last couple of weeks. Major binge eating and I need to turn it around somehow. I need to try something new.
One of my sons died 5 years ago today. I’m a mess right now, teary and emotional. He died after battling cancer for almost 5 years. He died 11 days after his 34th birthday. I overate the whole time he was sick and ever since he died. Prior to his illness I was at a normal weight.
Now I need to find a way to lose 40 pounds. I tried a couple of other groups here on MFP over the last year, but with little success. Still did the lose a few, gain a few for a whole year now. I need a change, something new, something that involves daily accountability, so here I am.

Thank you! Looking at old graduation etc photos with pride now instead of shame. Keep plugging away, everybody. Don't beat yourself up over getting off track now and then. Just stick to your overall plan, make necessary adjustments, and persevere. Have patience everybody, the road is long, but reaching the destination is worth it! Oh, and do check in with your usual health provider now and then, so they can monitor how your diet/weight loss is affecting your overall health.4 -

I hear what you are saying about not being able to eat any less, not having time to exercise any more, and feeling like maybe this is where your body wants to be.
I have felt that a lot in the last couple of years, since my day to day is the same as it was when I was almost 20 pounds lighter.
I keep the quest up because of the doc saying that I need to lose 30 pounds to alleviate some of the arthritis woes in my feet and ankles.
I am not there yet, but you are!!
So happy for you, and your determination is inspiring and motivating for us all!
And glad that you changed it to pounds so that those of us in North America understand lol

Day 99 - 10/25 - 147.2 - I have been eating late dinners after work, albeit healthy ones, which I had stopped doing. Otherwise I would have had barely any calories for the day. I have been averaging 1100 including those dinners. My schedule changed, so I am working later but one less night per week. Tonight and tomorrow night will be very late ones, but I am off from my day job tomorrow so can recover a little. Yikes to the final weigh in tomorrow! I hit 145.2 this round, but I should really be at around 115. All I can do is keep it up and try. Always tracking everything, cutting back where I can, and getting lots of activity (except when I was ordered to stay off of my feet for 2 days this week following a procedure). I sat at 130 for a year a couple of years ago trying so hard to get into the 120s. Now I just want to get below 140!

Week 14 actual weight: 138 lb. I'm calling it done. I wanted to get below 140 lb, and I've kept at that for nearly a month. I'm at a healthy BMI and feeling good, I could keep chasing those final 5 vanity pounds but losing is becoming much harder without a lot more exercise or feeling hungry. I think my body is telling me it feels comfortable at this weight.
Day 99—10/25 – 137 jb, Woo hoo! Also Waist 27 jns, Hips 37 jns. I have not had those measurements in literally 41 years! since before my son was born.
Day 100—10/26…..(Final Weigh- In)- 137 lb. Enjoying a nice pasta, white bean and tuna dish tonight. Since I am now allowed an extra 220 calories a day, I will throw in a few olives!
I thought I will show you the chart of my progress over a year, to show not to be discouraged by short term ups and downs. The big jump is when I realized my bathroom scale was inaccurate and went to the doctor to find out my true weight. Day 7 73.5 I want to lose at least a kilogram a month, that should be easy to achieve. So "it's all on" as they say. I will post when I have what I consider junk food. It's been 12 days since I had sugar. That's the longest in the last 5 1/2 years. I consider that an achievement. I had KFC yesterday because the mall I was at has no where to sit down and do stuff, I needed to email the receipt from the water payment and wasn't going home until it was done. At the moment, I'm a bit slower than one kilogram a month.

Day 9 73.7 I have now lost weight for 42 consecutive months. That's an alternative way of saying "the_reflex is taking forever to reach goal weight, 42 months to lose 22 kg". But it shows that I haven't rebounded to any large extent. That's a hopeful sign for maintenance.
I had sugar today, after 14 days. Sugary food and chocolate definitely changes my mood. Buzzy feeling. I hope to not have sugary food again for a while.

Goal weight - 64 kg. I really want to aim for reaching goal weight by the end of the year. I don't know if I can do it, but it would be nice to achieve it. So I need to track my intake, starting today, first of the month. That's about 150 days of tracking and estimating food needed. It would be nice to have a long period of continuous tracking because when I reach goal weight, that's it, no more tracking. I can't exercise right now due to the temperature, but I'm moving soon so I'll be in a cooler environment.

@daria0919 Thank you! I am logging all of my food, everything that goes into my mouth. At first I was staying under 1800 calories and making sure I got at least 100 grams of protein a day. After I lost a bit, MFP changed my calories to 1660, so I've been staying within that. I don't restrict any particular foods. I eat whatever I want, but I try to make sure I'm eating fruits and veggies, getting enough protein and fiber, and generally eating many different things. I need variety:) If you send me a friend request, you'll see my food diary if you want:)

2 days, Oct 25th: 177 Road trip to Pr George and home ( 7 hrs driving + an hr stopped for construction). Not much else accomplished. Salads plus corn chips and cookies ☹
1 day, Oct 26th: 176.6! Gained 2.2lbs since July 19th. Over these past 100 days I helped pack a house, traveled to Tx, supported hubby while something mysterious is happening to his health ( lost 12 pounds, no reason has been found yet), have dealt with son’s car issues and now driving him around while he searches for a new-to-him cheap car. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend with grandson and his family visiting. Haven’t made any progress with weight loss but have recovered from a wt gaining trend. Fitness isn’t what I’d like it to be ( difficulty exiting kayak which I found embarrassing!). Looking forward to the completion of the next 2 100-day challenges . . . Goal is to be well into the 150’s and will have rebuilt muscle strength. I’ll focus on re-introducing healthier habits and rebuilding balance into my life. First step will be to inquire about increasing my thyroid medication because I struggle with constant fatigue. Enough just surviving, time to get back to living!!

Thoughts at the beginning of this challenge:
Last round I had my normal goal of a 12 pound loss which is approximately 4 lbs per month. That comes to about 90 days leaving the other 10 open for special holidays and social occasions. In theory, it’s a good plan. In practice it is a Mountain to Crawl, uphill, both ways. However, each 100 day round I am extremely grateful for any progress I CAN make, no matter how big or small. Sadly, I gained a little over 6 pounds last round. I hope to turn all that back around this round. After all, here in Northern Michigan I wait a very long time each year to finally get to good weather and more outside activity. I really want to capitalize on the good weather in the summer months and increase activity and drop pounds. I’m failing miserably with this so far in 2024. Time to maximize the rest of summer and early fall with challenge #20 and make the magic happen! I am so very grateful for all the support from all of you that I get on a daily basis. Working on my health has become my #1 priority. My main goals are to maintain my remission by staying cancer free and to keep my diabetes in control. Losing weight is key to both goals.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I woke up extra tired today and probably would have given a couple of my teeth to crawl back into bed but I guess it is what it is. My contractor will be here in just a bit. So here I am to support you all and wish you a wonderful Friday and a great weekend.
Day 100-10/26…..(Final Weigh- In)-191.6-(trend weight 192.1) I just realized (it just dawned on me) that I usually do well at home because I don’t usually keep anything tempting or off-plan in the house. Not because I choose to make good choices or I practice good portion control when I have treats. This is very likely why I always gain when I am out of my “safe zone” and in restaurants or other social situations. I can already see that maintenance would be a disaster, if I ever even get there. I’m not trying to be gloomy or pitiful. Just honest. It’s always a challenge on weekends when my daughter is here but this weekend was a little worse with Real Junk such as Halloween (orange centered) Oreos and such. Honestly, I can’t expect that others around me like my DS or DGS or DD never get treats or holiday festive foods just because I’m on a diet, or even because I am a diabetic. I’ve truly got to learn self-control and how to make good choices for Me, no matter what everyone else is having. I haven’t even COME CLOSE to learning any of that yet. I really had a moment of clarity this morning on this. It doesn’t make things easier in knowing this, in fact, it may even make things worse as it is not up to me to deny anyone around me anything. That includes my 100 lb soaking wet daughter who knows how to take one mini Reeces and then stop. It’s not anyone else’s fault I eat them by the handfuls if I’m going to eat them at all. Not their fault I haven’t learned self-control even at the age of 64! I’ve got such a long long road ahead but I hope to approach it with a different attitude going forward. I am going to start researching on how to look at food differently etc. It really does all start and end with me and should have nothing to do with what is going on around me! ANYONE can eat less if they are in a room with no food! I can do better! I gained 3.0 lbs this challenge but hope that my clarity and research and quest for self-improvement will help me in the next challenge to get closer to my goals. See you there!

Day 99 - 10/25 - 147.2 - I have been eating late dinners after work, albeit healthy ones, which I had stopped doing. Otherwise I would have had barely any calories for the day. I have been averaging 1100 including those dinners. My schedule changed, so I am working later but one less night per week. Tonight and tomorrow night will be very late ones, but I am off from my day job tomorrow so can recover a little. Yikes to the final weigh in tomorrow! I hit 145.2 this round, but I should really be at around 115. All I can do is keep it up and try. Always tracking everything, cutting back where I can, and getting lots of activity (except when I was ordered to stay off of my feet for 2 days this week following a procedure). I sat at 130 for a year a couple of years ago trying so hard to get into the 120s. Now I just want to get below 140!
Day 100 - 10/26 - 146.6 - Well, I'm actually feeling pretty good about this. I have gained in the last 6-10 or so of these, so I am taking it as a win.
