Good Morning everyone! Time for another round, and I am excited to see what we can all accomplish with our individual health goals. Mine is basic, lose some lbs, get moving, eat/drink in moderation, better sleep, better choices overall!
I'll use my ending weight from the last challenge for the starting weight:
Start: 10/26 - 164.6
My weight increased by 2 lbs over the past week, pretty sure it was due to some changes in my meds (per doctor). I 'm hoping my body has finished adjusting and I can get back to losing again. Time for a nice brisk walk!

You remove the spaces between the brackets and / when actually typing the code. But in order for you to view I've included spaces in the examples
[ ] brackets enclose the code
/ forward slash ends the code
[ b ] your text will be in bold print [ /b ]
your text will be in bold print
[ i ] your text will be italicized [ /i ]
your text will be italicized
[ color= blue ] your text will be blue or any color name you choose [ / color ]
darkturquoise
limegreen
your text will be blue or any color name you choose
[ img ] photo or other type of image here [ /img ] post an image
*when using multiple codes, they must be ended in the same order surrounding the text
[ center ][ b ][ i ][ color=red ]I want to use bbcodes[ /color ][ /i ][ /b ][ /center ]I want to use bbcodes
@Lilylady3k,
Great explanation of bbcode. You can also utilize the code tag in these examples:[b] your text will be in bold print [/b]
your text will be in bold print[i] your text will be italicized [/i]
your text will be italicized[color=blue] your text will be blue or any color name you choose [/color]
your text will be blue or any color name you choose
*when using multiple codes, they must be ended in the same order surrounding the text[center][b][i][color=red]I want to use bbcodes[/color][/i][/b][/center]
I want to use bbcodes
Use the code tag to prevent the rendering of the code you want to show. This way, you don't need to add the spaces within the tags.

@Lilylady3k Thanks for sharing the instructions for HTML and bbcodes for those who have not tried to use them in the past. I do love adding color and such to mine to brighten our pages up a bit!
@daria0919 We are currently in challenge #21
@dawnbgethealthy If Lily saw those Rocking Pictures then I must have seen them before too. Gosh how I hate this brain fog I'm forced to live with! Anyway, enjoyed them immensely! You looked Fabulous!!!
Welcome to all the new "faces" who have joined and all who have re-joined us. It's wonderful to have you here! Good luck to all.

I'd like to join this challenge. I've been weighing in daily for years, but maybe posting it daily will help inspire me (or guilt me) into being more disciplined about doing what I need to do.
I'm going to try to lose just one pound per week. But that won't necessarily be 14 pounds overall. Each week I'll start anew, trying to lose just one pound from wherever I ended up the prior week. This will help me avoid getting discouraged if I fall behind. I need to focus on today, not yesterday or last week.

Hey new friends! 🎉 This is my very first 100-day challenge, just in time to conquer the holiday season and I’m excited! My goal is to lose 7 lbs by the end or roughly 0.5 lbs/week.
For me, it's all about healthy eating and getting my portions under control. I don’t have any strict workout plans 'cause I’ve learned that juggling too many goals just makes my brain melt 🧠💥. I try to stay active, but I’m totally a "go with the flow" kinda person—no step counting here.
About Me - Canadian, work full time remotely, been on MFP since 2010 so I’ve been trying to lose the same 10, 15, 20 lbs for almost 15 years! 🤣 HW 184.6 May ’24, I love puzzles, Netflix, puttering around the house and my cats! 🐱
Week 1- Day 1 (10/27) 171.8 lb - 10k run this morning, will be on the couch for the rest of the day! Aiming for about 1800 cal today

I have got to my goal weight a couple of times on MFP. I seem to yoyo about the same weight 140 lbs.My goal now is 130lbs.I know my weight fluctuates weekly so it will be interesting what my daily weight will do.
@dawnbgethealthy I think we are twins 😄 I have been on BP tablets for about 18 months but I fought hard not to go on them.I am also very active & try to eat healthily.
Good luck to everyone
I was thinking the same thing about us twinning! Same age, around the same weight, similar lifestyles.

Yay!!
I have very fond memories of when you and your hubbie came up to visit me : - )
I am very happy to "see" you!!4 -
@Lilylady3k
Of course you know that I am waiting to hear all about your trip, where you visited, and see photos!
You know, we are on this weight loss journey, but when would you ever return to those places? I feel like your trip was likely better because you did indulge and enjoy.
Having said that, I really think that with all of the travel that your weight gain is only temporary from flying and stuff.5 -
Hi : - )
I am Dawn.
5'2"
64 years old
Cranbrook, BC, Canada
The most that I have ever lost on one of these 100s is 7lbs.
I am not sure what it is going to take, but I would like to get back to 130 and below.
I started my weight loss journey because my doc threatened to put me on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life. I joined MFP at 198 pounds although I had been heavier than that.
I lost enough weight to chase away high blood pressure, but now the doc is saying that my arthritis in knees, feet, and ankles would benefit greatly by me dropping another 30 pounds. That number used to be 15 pounds, but I have been gaining and gaining these last couple of years.
I am an active person, and eat nutritious food.
Day 01—10/27 — 146.6 - I worked very late last night, I left work at 2am and it was 4:30am when I got to bed. I did get up at 9am and weigh, but realized that I hadn't had nearly enough sleep and went back to my nice warm bed. So this was my better version of weight at 1pm. So far today I have basically done nothing but drink coffee and read comments from this thread. I am sitting here with ice packs on my knees and bad ankle, not really too motivated to do much today. There was public skating today and I don't like to miss it, but I just needed to rest my sore body. Extremely happy to have an entire day off today : - ) I feel like I have truly said goodbye to working 7 days per week since May of this year.
Oh, it was a Halloween party at the bar that I work at in the evenings. 3 live bands. Here was my getup:

Hi all! Thank you for putting this together!
My background: I was always an athlete and in shape - after that all ended post college I packed on the pounds with all the drinking and eating with no exercise- I than lost it by getting back to working out and watching my diet—Got married had 3 children-gained it back…. up and down over the last 12 years. I was engulfed in the mom wine culture and I will never go back! I was at my lowest weight after our 2nd child and at my highest after our 3rd child. Currently down 38.1 pounds since my highest and have just maintained around here for a bit not by choice. I was diagnosed with MS in 2022 and my mother got very sick this year..life took me by surprise! But all has calmed down 🙏 and grateful I didn’t work my way all the way back up——-I am down 8.6 pounds in the last almost month! looking to lose the last 31.9 lbs and have life long health. Let’s do this 100 and beyond! ❤️
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

@Pupowl If incentives don't work, maybe disincentives? eg, Set a goal to lose 40 lb in the next year, and swear that for every pound you fail to meet your goal by, you will send $100 to a political candidate you really dislike! And you must keep the weight off for, say, 2 years, or for every pound you regain Mister Obnoxious gets another $100! This is a method I heard about from a psychologist years ago - he said, people will do more to avoid something they hate than to get something they just say they want. But it does depend on individual personality.
@baodell17724 Sorry to hear about your MS. I had a friend with it, and she also struggled with her weight as her mobility decreased. She did chair exercises while she could, and focused on nutrient dense foods while avoiding high calorie, low nutrition foods. She said once she was virtually housebound, depression led her to comfort eat and pack the pounds on. A calorie deficit will still work, but it is harder to keep cutting down on the amount of food when the energy used is not increasing. Hope you have the services of a good nutritionist. Try finding out more about the concept of calorie density. Best of luck!
Day 01—10/27— 136 lb. Alleluia! I never expected to get down here again. Now I am trying to give up sugar and coffee. Have given up several times in the past - longest period was 18 months- and I felt so much better. Plus my dentist was very happy with the state of my teeth. But social pressure when everyone else is addicted meant I gradually fell back into old habits, similar to gradually regaining pounds......
Day 02—10/28— 136.1 lb. Not sure if MFP has correctly calculated the number of calories I need to maintain. Still doing the same amount of exercise - we are heading into summer here, so hopefully will be outside more - last summer was terrible, floods and high winds and Lord knows what. Today was first day without added sugar (there was a little bit already in the oatmeal). I'm concentrating on giving up sugar first, then gradually cutting back on coffee, since it's easier to focus on one change at a time.

Hello! This is my first 100 day challenge!
I was getting close to my goal weight earlier this year, but through a particularly rough period of life in May-August, I gained SO. MUCH. WEIGHT. So I did my best (and still trying) to pull myself together and improve my weight and health.
I'm 36 years old, 5'3.SAHM to two beautiful toddlers, both with some special needs.
Day 01—10/27— 155.3. My weight is much higher today than it's been recently. It's the result of enjoying a few (too many) beers with friends and eating out yesterday. I'm sure a couple pounds will fall off in the next couple of days as I get back to making good choices.
Day 02—10/28— 154.9. I made much better choices yesterday. Hopefully my body will catch up soon, and I'll return to where I was before the weekend (152, roughly). I walked and ate within calories. I also did some meal planning and prep to prepare for the week.

@Pupowl - Love the area that you have available to walk!!! Pretty as a picture!
@dawnbgethealthy - Great costume!!! You asked for pictures ... see below.
Posting some pictures from my trip with my sister under the spoiler. My sister was tickled the entire trip because she had never been to the east coast or Canada. In fact never really takes vacations (not like Dawn to branch out on her own for single vacations). I'm glad that I went with her and enjoyed seeing her smile. She is a 18 year survivor of stage 4 breast cancer metastasis to the right lung ... 33 of 36 limp nodes removed were cancerous (originally only given 3 years to live). She had a reoccurrence in the left lung about 7 years ago and knocked it back again. This summer they discovered she has Essential Thrombocytosis (ET). Risk stratification - high risk for blood clots which could lead to stroke or heart attack. They put her on hydroxyurea to lower her high platelet count (trying to keep it under 500). My understanding is it is a blood disorder, bone marrow, high platelet count. She doesn't want to call it cancer of any sort.Central Park in New York City, NY. We also saw a great show ... The Six about the six wives of Henry the Eight. It was almost like a rock band concert with lots of history in the songs. Six wives and their ladies in waiting as the band (drums, keyboard and 2 guitars).
For Dawn since I know you love cocktails!! Favorite cocktail on the trip - Milky Way. Grey Goose vodka, Kailua, Baileys Irish Cream. Chocolate swirled in the glass before pouring the drink.

10/18-10/26: DNW - Vacation Northeast coast & Canada
10/27: 222.9 - Up 5.4 lbs in one week of vacation indulgence. I really hope that some of this is water retention from travel and will shed quickly in the next 2 days. The trip with my sister was great but I drank cocktails that had way more calories than my normal glass of wine. Think that was probably my biggest mistake. Starting this round in the RED!
🎂 Not the way I wanted to kick off my birthday … 64 years. Will I get to Onederland before I’m 65??? Bike 30 min
10/28: 220.1 / 221.8 - Not under 220 but I’ll take it. Today taking care of my granddaughter since she has fever and can’t go to daycare. My daughter is flying to North Carolina for work and her husband has 4 meetings at work today so they need Nana’s help with the little one. The other is going to daycare.

@Pupowl your photos are so pretty!
@iradi8 thanks for the offer to share your diary - I sent you a friend request.
@DaffyGirl88 I’m so very happy to have you in a group with me again! I have an ankle/foot issue so I’m in a boot for 4 weeks, then will be told next steps. It was already acting up throughout most of September and I tried to deal with it myself but with no success. Under an orthopedic specialist’s care now.6 -
About me under the spoiler!Hey new friends!
🤣 HW 184.6 May ’24, I love puzzles, Netflix, puttering around the house and my cats!- Day 1 (10/27) 171.8 lb. Ran 10k, goal was 1800 cal. Garmin said I burned over 800 cal during my run but those are wildly inaccurate so I count that as 400 cal, then ate back about 200. Ended the day at 1850.
- Day 2 (10/28) 172.8 lb. I'm sure this gain is due to my big run yesterday and muscle soreness, I'm trying not to get bothered by fluctuations due to good things like exercise or strength training. Have a family birthday dinner tonight, have already looked at the menu and nutrition and pre-selected something. While I'd love to splurge, its not my own bday and I just don't think it's worth it today. I'll probably steal a fry or two off someone! 🍟
