    GM from a very chilly Washington State.
    Greg here, AKA( Thunder5453) I was here for several years and I didn't lie the way the new owners of the site were going. I didn't find any other weight loss program that match what MFP had. So reluctantly I returned to the web site, so t get what I needed.

    Last August I was diagnosed with Stage 4 human papilloma virus (HPV), Squamous Cell Carcinoma.I had a Trachea inserted on Friday Aug.16th and will keep it until the treatment and the final determinations are made. I have been going through Chemo and Radiation and just wrapped upped week4 with 3 more weeks to go.

    I get chemo once a week and hydration once a week as I am also packing a High Output Ileostomy with short gut and short bowel syndrome. Hence the extra hydration.
    Radiation is 5 times per week. So lets break this down ...5 day of intensive radiation and 1 day of Cilsplanten (down from 100 mg to500 mg) of Chemo, then Wednesday is just hydration with of course the radiation. That makes Mon. and Wed. very long days.

    I am now and have been for 2 weeks on a feeding tube inserted in my stomach. I take 500Mg of liquid nutrients and all of the H2O I can handle. I have worked my daily quota up to 3 cartons per day, and need to to get to 5 per day.This is an aggressive cancer so they needed to attack it
    aggressively with the chemo and radiation as it was growing toward my voice box and surgery was not an option at that point.

    As of this today (Saturday)that's where we (my wife and I) stand. Yes all of the usual players are in play, dry heaves, stinky attitude, can't swallow, hot/cold chills sunburned month ETC.
    I only 3 Mondays let of Chemo and that's in the books and I'll finish radiation shortly after that.
    Then comes the waiting game to see if it's gone or if we have to make a new plan.

    If you have had cancer you know much this SUCKS!!!! I have driven Marcie to the edge and back and we have had a few "Come to Jesus meetings". I was stalling on a few things due to the uncertainty of it. Now I am on board 100% with everything. I will beat this monster inside my body senseless. I'll give it so many right body blows it will beg for a left.

    Hey, UK based fella here, wrong side of 45 and getting back on the wagon. Been back on MFP for a couple of weeks now and lost about 5lb towards my goal.

    Not only kicking my diet into shape, but also getting back into the gym strength training and just built a new road bike to start plugging the miles, training towards cycling Lands End to John O'Groats. Also a keen snowboarder although limited to the UK indoor slopes at the moment.

    Could do with friends to help keep me focus and on track while good habits settle in
