Welcome to the group @tishsmith101and @Kupla71. Hi @Emkaygirl1, I like it! For me I'd need a shorter list to work into an already hectic schedule, but if this sparks enthusiasm for you, do it!!

@capewrathultra You're doing fine - we can be on the strugglebus together. :)

I'm off to my first meeting of the day. Have a great Monday, everyone!

Gimme another day and I'll be up-to-speed! :)

    Good morning!

I'd like to join this thread, please. I've been using MFP (inconsistently) for several months, but (shockingly) tracking only works if you make choices based on the data πŸ™ƒ So I'm hoping to join a community of accountability buddies.

Today I weighed in at 170lb
    Goal weight 155.
But really, I want to feel better in my clothes.
I'd like to sleep better and have fewer tummy troubles.
I'd like to build better habits to have sustainable results.

    I feel fluffy but motivated.
I dinner-meal planned for the week yesterday.
Today my goal is fruit or veg with every meal and a walk.

I hope I'm in the right thread. Y'all sound really positive and supportive 🌞

Welcome all new comers and @Emkaygirl1! I’m new here too as of only two weeks ago!

I like the idea of a 120 Project and feel like I’m doing a few of those things from each bucket - but I really need a hobby and always more exercise!

    Ultimate goal: down 4#
Short term goal: To choose more a nutrient dense foods and less UPF's
and to DO IT because it brings me so much more JOY than I could ever imagine.

I absolutely do hate the guilt, shame and regret from making bad food choices. I want to use november to REMEMBER how less nutrient dense foods (Ultra Processed Foods, aka UPFs) makes me feel emotionally spent and physically spent.

In Oct. I was able to meet my Calorie goal and stay UNDER 66% of the time. I had 10 days where I was OVER. For November, I am setting the goal to be 71% of the time. (I'm just pulling a number out of the hat.)

Hey Michieb! I always like a challenge. It motivates me to check off boxes. And reading is something I’m trying to get back to as well.

I have to play with the food logs to see if I met my goals. But I think I did! I think we are on similar journeys. So in rooting for you! (Well I’m rooting for all of you of course!)

And it’s the wine that usually gets me too. I test it as a reward these days. Earn β€˜wine points! For good behaviour. πŸ˜‰πŸ·

So there I was, Top Sirloin marinating in the fridge, and on-schedule to have a sensible dinner. A knock at-the-door, and my next door neighbor shows up with a 10" x 12.5" x 2.5" pan of piping-hot, homemade lasagna. I'm very lucky that I "broke even" when I stepped on the scale this morning.

Had my weekly strength training class on lunch yesterday but yoga was cancelled last night. Can't say I wasn't glad, was not in the right head space. Today is better. Did a load a laundry before starting work and coffee is ready. Long day with a couple meetings on deck.

Today I have broth for snack, shake for lunch, and at this point, might be broth or soup for dinner. This should have been much lower than yesterday, not up.

@capewrathultra Door delivery lasagna. I'd have had a difficult time resisting too!

Weight Watchers used to make an awesome lasagna florentine. I'd have that thing 5 nights a week with a huge bowl of popcorn. I haven't found that WW frozen any longer -- not sure if they stopped making it, or it's just been crowded out from my local stores with all the other competing frozen lunches. But it was a good size portion, tons of sauce (so you could add other veggies), and it tasted really good! I've never found a suitable replacement.

Happy Tuesday, happy Election Day if you're in the US. Please get out and vote if you haven't already done so!

Hey YA'll. Finally back from vacation.

Trying to get caught up here on MFP with all the posts , might take a few days.

We had a wonderful time. and now I am sad as I came home to snow and grey skies. Ugh. The weather in Florida was perfect , 80-85 degrees everyday, and often times a breeze. The ocean was a bit rough and lots of rip tides so we didn't get to swim too much . I did inadvertently body surf in a very ungraceful way one time, but only because as I was wading out there, and the giant wave knocked me down and pushed me into shore. I might have a future in the sport.

I am not gonna lie- the scale was not something I was looking forward to this morning. Overall I feel like managed things pretty well and didn't over indulge in anything but I thought atleast 3-5 lbs increase was going to be the damage. Much to my surprise, the scale is only showing an uptick of 1.6 lbs so I am sort of elated about that. I found that I didn't have the urges to eat badly most of the time like I thought I would. I kept reminding myself of how hard I have worked to get here and that kept me on track. I did enjoy some great drinks and a couple bites of Key lime Pie, but again, in moderation.

    So here goes....

Heaviest Weight: 213 | Ultimate Goal Weight: 150 | First Goal Weight 165

    Ending October Weight 175.6

Appreciate the response @Emkay about challenges! I have pretty much been a goal setter and box checker my whole life, it’s sort of ingrained I suppose!

Incorporated more fruits and vegetables yesterday and working to get into the 147 range by Friday.

Virtually(aka pretended to) weigh in and the scale was down 5#.

I did however take actual progress photo's for a challenge I am in. 1 week vs week 5.
I am feeling like I am making progress as I am lifting days a week legs. I'm not really missing all the upper body work too much anymore. Today is physical therapy - The PT was supposed to be chatting with a dr. about my case....I'm excited to hear what he has to say.

@malfar9 Welcome to the group! Looks like you're already making some progress too!

@HappyDonkey75 Welcome back - congrats on a great vacation and only minimal scale damage.

@SherryRueter I hope you're enjoying your challenge so far, and that the PT visit goes well!

@capewrathultra I wonder if you can freeze any of the lasagna? I don't know if one has to freeze it right away after baking though. I can only imagine how good it is. Maybe my husband and I can make lasagna for US Thanksgiving this month. πŸ˜‚

My last meeting of the day turned into me giving a 90 minute demo to a group of 6 via video chat. It was fine but not what I was expecting. Stress level was up but I did not turn to food after. A step in the right direction. Today may be the last really nice day out until spring so I'll either walk or ride my bike at lunch.

I've accidentally been doing IF for a week and am managing. I think I'll continue for a while longer.
