11/05-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- I was in such a hurry this morning I gulped down a big glass of water with all my meds before weighing. Non-typical schedule today threw me off. I will be leaving soon to help a lady in our small community get to her physical therapy. She had major stroke and canβt drive right now and posted on facebook last night that she needs a ride to the next small town over (about 20 minutes) for the therapy. This involves actually helping her do her therapy while there too. Weβre not really what you would call friends but more like acquaintances and someone I only see in passing maybe twice per year. But we know each otherβs hearts enough that she is comfortable with me even in such a vulnerable position. I helped her there a couple of months ago and it was horrific what condition she was in. Luckily she can walk but with a very strange gait. I hope to see improvement in her this time as I know how horribly depressing this is for this (normally) working and vibrant woman .
11/06-192.2-(Trend Weight 191.6)- I ate and drank my way through the nail-biting play-by-play of the election last night switching back & forth between CNN and Fox News. Iβm not surprised the scale jumped way up. I need lots of water today and TMI would help. I will try to eat extra low calorie and carb but keep foods high in volume with fiber and protein to keep me full and on track for today. I need some sort of drastic measure as long as its healthy. Iβm glad to see my trend weight didnβt change so perhaps I can keep that level or moving in the right direction with some careful planning. No contractor today as they chose to stay up late for election night and sleep in today. There is no reason I shouldnβt get in some bit of exercise today. Itβs supposed to be day 3 of rain but I have my exercise bike in the house so no excuses! Dancing is also nice too. I havenβt done that in a minute!

11/07-192.2-(Trend Weight 191.9)- I had a good day yesterday except for the exercise part that I promised myself. Weight is the same but thatβs probably the trickle up still from election night showing up and being neutralized by my good diet yesterday. Iβm aiming for another good day today as my weekend with my DGS and DD starts. Iβve got to resist all temptations, especially those that come with children around Halloween! I had quite the lazy day yesterday, no reason I couldnβt have fit in more movement and intentional exercise. I just felt like I needed a break but Iβm not sure from what. I didnβt even get dressed. It felt good to stick to my eating plan.

My tummy is looking flatter. It still blows up like a balloon after fluids. Bladder just wonβt empty out.
Iβm booked for surgery for the 25th November. Seeing the specialist in Sydney on the 3rd December- itβs 5.5 hours drive so staying 3/4/ and heading home on 5th. Trying to arrange dog kennel. Feeling very overwhelmed by all this. Still hate having this catheter.

Expected increase, went out to lunch which put me over my sodium limit. Now that I am at my goal weight, am trying to get out at least once a week for a "date" lunch or dinner. Had another beautiful walk in the AM - went back to the meadows.

Hi everyone. I hope everyone had a more success in October than I did. October was a crazy month. New work schedule and just life in general. Ended with a gain of 2 lbs. Here is to bright and successful November. November goals : start tracking food again, drinking more water, and more gym time.

Weight is the same but thatβs probably the trickle up still from election night showing up and being neutralized by my good diet yesterday. Iβm aiming for another good day today as my weekend with my DGS and DD starts. Iβve got to resist all temptations, especially those that come with children around Halloween! I had quite the lazy day yesterday, no reason I couldnβt have fit in more movement and intentional exercise. I just felt like I needed a break but Iβm not sure from what. I didnβt even get dressed. It felt good to stick to my eating plan.
11/08-191.8-(Trend Weight 191.9)- I decided to weigh today on my normal no-weigh Friday. I donβt think itβs a direct comparison to the days prior due to such an early time and it being prior to normal routines including bathroom habits, but I knew I had a good day yesterday and couldnβt wait to see some results. Higher than I thought but still a drop of nearly Β½ lb so Iβll run with it! Last night after my snack I almost got up roaming and looking for more to stuff in my pie hole. Then, I reminded myself that I donβt have to be stuffed full until belly is protruding to be finished. Itβs okay to be satisfied. I donβt have to be bloated and overloaded with food and feeling that way-too-familiar over-logged feeling. I recognized that I was satisfied and thatβs all I needed to be in that moment. I had eaten enough dinner and had a nice well-rounded snack and that was enough. I was no longer hungry. Just bored and habitual. I was able to get past it as the little talk with myself worked because it was truth. Now I just need to talk myself into getting up off my lazy derriere and start exercising again.

11/09-190.8-(Trend Weight 191.8)- It was a horrible day yesterday on all counts. I really donβt deserve being down a full pound on the scale this morning. Lunch was out at the fish fry restaurant. Then it was nothing but a bingefest all evening for chocolate. Namely, my grandsonβs Halloween candy. I didnβt even realize until this morning that I hadnβt had dinner last night at all so that probably offset the calories and allowed the drop on the scale. However, I wouldnβt be surprised if the scale catches up tomorrow or the next day due to the carbs, glycogen and the unstable glucose swings this was bound to cause this T2D. I must eat healthy and stay mindful today which wonβt be easy on the weekend with my DD and DGS here. I will have to eat separate for sure.

Then it was nothing but a bingefest all evening for chocolate. Namely, my grandsonβs Halloween candy. I didnβt even realize until this morning that I hadnβt had dinner last night at all so that probably offset the calories and allowed the drop on the scale. However, I wouldnβt be surprised if the scale catches up tomorrow or the next day due to the carbs, glycogen and the unstable glucose swings this was bound to cause this T2D. I must eat healthy and stay mindful today which wonβt be easy on the weekend with my DD and DGS here. I will have to eat separate for sure.

So the past few days Iβve been depressed and eating chocolate in large quantities. I will have to get back on track. I canβt have my Ozempic for the next couple of weeks and really canβt afford to gain weight or they canβt do the surgery. At least I ate salad for dinner though lol π

Visit with Allyson - out for a beautiful lunch which put me over my calorie and sodium goals. We haven't seen her in a few weeks. I talk to her every day, but nothing beats seeing her in person. Went to watch the sunrise over the lake before our morning walk - it did not disappoint. They lowered the level of the lake so that the home owners on the lake can work on their docks, and clean up their beaches.

I need to get a handle on my screen time - I spend way to much time sitting in front of the tube. So with great regret will need to step back from this challenge.
