Fitbit steps duplicating from yesterday

Hello, in the past few days MFP has started duplicating my steps from the previous day and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it.

It's a problem because it doesn't log any exercise until I exceed the step count from the previous day (and on work days I get 20-25k so that means a morning workout on a day off goes unnoticed)

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm on Android with a fitbit versa 2

I have the same issue. Seems to be an issue with the fitbit sync.

At this point my fitbit had only actually recorded 6800 steps. However MFP shows yesterday's steps.

I messed around with disconnecting and reconnecting the apps. Now the steps reads correctly in the detailed graph of fitbit steps, reads 0 in the detailed graph of steps, and still reads as yesterday's on the dashboard.

I thought it was a sync issue, but since it does have the correct fitbit step count somewhere in the charts, I'm leaning more towards MFP software. Thoughts? mdql24xflxpw.jpg

Same, Fitbit shows accurate steps so seems a MFP issue?

Me too, with Versa 3 and iPhone. It started when the U.S time changed, I believe. Please Google, fix this soon!

There is also an issue with calories burned in Fitbit not syncing to MFP after early am time so no exercise is transfered for the whole day from Fitbit to MFP.

Ah, is it a time zone/DST issue? I started thinking it might be something to do with midnight occurring and resetting on one device while still counting on the other. And since MFP doesn't subtract steps, if fitbit is sending a lower number to MFP then I can imagine a programming function to ignore that until it exceeds the saved number from yesterday (very elementary computer programming experience talking here)

Any developers/MFP staff reading this forum? My free trial is about to end and I'd hate to pay $80 for this to keep acting screwy!

So, if they never fix it, I will eventually have to get 50,000 steps to get it to register right. This is ridiculous!

Mine fixed itself briefly late last night, but appears to have broken again shortly after midnight CST.

Mine worked until last night. Today it duplicated yesterday’s steps and after I removed them it’s now not adding / updating. My Fitbit still shows a connected.

Same issue here with duplicating the Fitbit steps from the prior day until exceeding that total. So frustrating to not be able to use the apps together.

Same for me. Today MFP is showing yesterday's steps from Fitbit and it also has a negative 300 calories adjustment. Totally nonsensical and it started after the last MFP app update 3 days ago.

Yep - happening to me too! Not a Timezone issue, not a synching issue - don’t know what the source of the problem is! Hope it can be fixed soon!

No response to emails or posts here. Very disappointed. So much for looking after premium members. Very annoying such stuff ups always happen after an update. Why can't they not fix something that is not broken 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes, same thing for me. Saturday, 11/9 shows 17,068 steps in Fitbit. But MyFitnessPal is picking up that 17,068 steps for Sunday, 11/9 (which is the “Yesterday” screenshot).gna3f04xzaxh.png
