Fitbit steps duplicating from yesterday

For me, in England (GMT+0), this issue started on the 9th Nov, it then began working again for the 11th and 12th. Today, it has decided to duplicate again.
Out of curiosity, on the two days it worked did you have a higher step count than the previous day? ie. Was your step count on the 11th higher than it was on the 10th? Similarly was your step count on the 12th higher than it was on the 11th?0 -
Hi all, confirming the issue is on our radar and people are looking into it. Thanks for reporting and for your patience.
@durden what's the situation? I can't seem to find this issue in the list of known issues:
https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032625231-Known-Issues-Integration-Partners
We've got a bug ticket open for this and are investigating- if it sticks around for more than a few days I expect it will show up on the known issue list at that point.2 -
Mine worked fine the last 2 days and now this morning it is duplicating again!!! Ughhh this is getting beyond frustrating now1

I reached out to MFP & have received responses but so far no solution or time frame to fix the problem with the steps not updating0
-
Same and no email response back, very frustrating0
-
Same, seems like this issue is dragging on0
-
I have the same issue 😐0

Having the same problem. I'm in the UK, Android user with Fitbit Charge 5. Monday's (11th Nov) data synced ok, but from Tuesday on it's just pulling across the previous days steps with no calorie adjustment. Have tried disconnecting and reconnecting Fitbit from MFP but no change.0

The MFP app was updated today but did not resolve the ongoing issue. Very annoying for so called premium members 🤦🏻♂️.1

Ok, the issue is ongoing. Yesterday I thought I had solved it by adjusting MFP's time zone, but this morning it once more copied my steps from yesterday. Guess I'll just have to wait and see0

Everything worked great yesterday. TDEE updated based on sync from Fitbit all day long. Steps updated correctly.
Then today, the issue is back. Sync at 12:15 am calculated TDEE but no update since then and yesterday's steps are listed for today. I don't know why it worked for one day...then broke again. I have been sending screen shots each day to the tech who sent me an email. I wish MFP would at least list it as a known issue. I'm just reassured that it's not just me.3 -
Same here! Glad to know I'm not alone, but it's extremely frustrating as it messes with my calorie count!1

Just going to drop some additional data points in here in case it's of any use. Support didn't express any interest in learning more.
- Things worked randomly for me on 11/9 and 11/12. Those were both days that I did a lot of cardio and my step count was higher than the previous day. It almost seems like no activity syncing occurs until you break the step count of the previous day. It's also worth noting that these two days are also the days where the exact same step count showed up the next day.
I'm virtually positive this is what's going on now. I have a 3rd instance of it occurring today. As soon as I broke the previous day's step count all syncing began functioning again. My step count is accurate, my calorie projection is accurate, and I can see syncs are still happening regularly. What a bizarre bug.
Tomorrow marks a week since it started. Hope we get an update soon.3 -
Please fix this. Very disruptive to tracking things properly!2

Mine worked this morning. Fingers crossed it stays that way.0

So, I'm on Android. I connected my fitbit to Healthconnect and then swapped my step counter in myfitnesspal from fitbit to Healthconnect and it looks (fingers crossed) like I have accurate step counting again. May be the way to go for android users since Health Connect and fitbit are both Google now.1

As per comment from annemarie_strand. Using Healthconnect as an intermediary on Android has resolved the issue for me.0

Mine has been doing this for the past 4-5 days and still is not fixed. I keep getting steps from the day before on my current days diary and it's not logging any exercise calories for any of my days. Very frustrating. Hopefully they will have it fixed soon.1

Has anybody gotten an answer for this? Again today duplicating yesterday’s steps! Mfp has not given me an answer to this1
-
Its happening to me too with my inspire 2 and mfp.0

This has been happening every other day for me for the past week. It happened Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and today (Saturday). The intervening days have worked fine. It’s incredibly annoying and makes no sense. Please fix this!0

I haven't paid attention to my steps, so don't know if it is duplicating them, but very annoying that it says I have burned 2 calories at 12:05 and that is what they base the adjustment on, so no adjustment. It doesn't seem to sync after that since 11-12-24.0
