    Hi everyone!

I did another 65minutes on the elliptical. I had more pain after than before working out and was limping a lot afterwards. Sigh. I think I’m going to have to try some other cross training or take some rest days. Its always a shame when the motivation is there but the body can’t handle the training.

@tarun_yadavA It sounds like a fun trip. Third times a charm, right ;)?

Nice run @tarun_yadavA . Have a safe flight and enjoy your time trip. Hopefully the third time is the charm for your friend.

Great run @Teresa502 . The rain stayed north of me today, but it looked threatening all day. I'm not looking forward to the weather on Thursday.

@Laurz9191 That's a long elliptical workout. Sorry it seems to be aggravating your calf too. Maybe a couple of rest days are in the cards for you. Can you take some long walks, or does that hurt it too?

Great run @kgirlhart and I'm glad it felt so good.

    Morning all
Got in 7.0M at 10"17 pace.

@Laurz9191 @quilteryoyo honestly... This is a slow motion car crash. I give it 2 years.

    Thanks @girlhart. It was beautiful.

Oh no @WarmJellyfish . I'm glad your run went well before you fell. I hope you don't have any significant aftereffects from it.

Nice run @tarun_yadavA . We can hope that your friend has learned his lesson and he has finally found "the one" that can put up with love him.

Hi MFP friends! I’m new here. I know it’s already 18days into the month 🫠
Is it too late to join this challenge? I’m in need of some fitness motivation and I have loved running in the past….

Welcome! It's never too late to join in the fun! If you want to set a goal for the remainder of the month, you can or you can just be thinking about what your goal will be for next month. It doesn't have to be a mileage goal (or k goal). It can be a time commitment or a number of runs - whatever you think would challenge you. We will be here to encourage and cheer you on!
    Couldn't have said it better @Teresa502 !

@kizzibillet This is indeed a running group, but some of us do a run/walk or just walking. Feel free to join us with a walking goal, if that is something that you can do.

…and some of us are injured @kizzibillet & @Natalie_Ernest and still linger for support, friendship and motivation. 😀

I thought of you this weekend @daria0919 when I saw photos from the Richmond marathon. I had a friend run the full and another ran the 8k. (((HUGS)))

    Awe…. thanks @Teresa502!!
I actually ran the 8K!! It was Saturday night into Sunday morning in an early morning dream!!!! I forgot - I was going to mention it on here!

In reality: I had gone to packet pickup Thursday afternoon after work. Was fun watching people see me in my boot picking up my packet. I figured I payed for my long sleeve technical shirt and ought to at least pick it up. Some asked if I was there for a friend and I said no, was picking up my own packet. Then they seemed impressed. 😂

It must have been really bothering me not being able to actually do the race, so I apparently lived the race out in my dream. It supposedly took about 2 hours (never been that slow before! - a new PR of sorts?!?), but I was so very happy I finished it. I woke up that morning feeling pretty good because of that feeling of accomplishment, even if it wasn’t real.

@daria0919 thanks. I think the important thing is that you toed the line, even in your dreams. The number of times I've DNF is not funny but I tried. Just wish my dreams were that vivid lol.

@quilteryoyo some mild whiplash. Nothing Advil can't fix lol. Beaut of a sunset you had.

    11/19: 6.23 miles
    11/20: 6.22 miles

    78.62/100 miles completed for November

Today's run was mostly good. It was cold. I'm not really a fan of cold weather. I never quite know how to dress for it and often end up overdressed. I did alright today though. I wore a lightweight pair of capri-length leggings and they weren't too warm. I probably would have been ok in shorts, but I wasn't too warm in the leggings. I also wore a t-shirt and sleeves and never had to take the sleeves off. My hands were a little cold. I wore a lightweight pair of fingerless compression gloves but I think my other pair of gloves would have been too warm. The sky was clear and it is that lovely time of year where it is dark when I start out and light when I get home. As I came to the park, a deer bounded across the road right in front of me. I was thinking about how cool that was and I was just about to hit 5 miles when my watch beeped and turned off. So I stopped to see what the deal was. I turned it back on and it came up with the screen to save or resume, so I resumed the run and the mile alert beeped and it said 6 miles. I knew I was at 5 so then I was annoyed for the rest of the way home. I ran the exact same route as yesterday though, so even though my watch said 7.22 miles, I know it was a 10K run. It is so annoying when technology doesn't work right. And now I'm worried that my watch is about to fail on me and I really don't want the expense of replacing it right now,

@daria0919 I don't blame you for picking up your shirt. Hahaha about the dream. You could have totally walked the race in the boot in 2 hours - so it was a totally realistic dream.

Thanks @WarmJellyfish . I'm glad you only have mild injuries. It could have been so much worse.

@Avidkeo Glad that you and the other runner found humor in the situation. Great job with the run and I hope you enjoy the parkrun on Saturday.

Oh no @Mari33a . I hope you are right about the cause and it feels better soon.

    Total 76.23 miles/Goal 100 miles

Chilly morning at 30F but thankfully the winds from late yesterday evening and last night had died down so it wasn’t too cold.

That’s funny about the reactions at packet pick-up @daria0919 and the fact that you dreamed about running the race. Glad you went and got your packet. I’m sure it was a nice shirt. I still have 2 blankets from the finish line that I use all the time.

Sorry about your jolting fall @WarmJellyfish and I hope your foot is better soon @Mari33a.

@kgirlhart – I saw that Garmin is having their Thanksgiving sale! My watch has been temperamental when it comes to charging and I’m so tempted to order a new one while they are on sale. Telling myself they will probably have a Christmas sale too…probably….

Great run @Teresa502 . It was a bit too chilly for me this morning.

@kgirlhart Great run and seeing deer is so cool. Sorry about the technology issues. Sounds like a new watch is definitely needed. I'd be lost without mine.

    60.50/80 mile goal

I went to the gym this morning and did a bench press workout. I got a PR of 60 pounds x 3 reps.

The wind had started blowing, it was cold out, and I was staying in town for the Thanksgiving meal at daycare, so I stayed and did my run on the gym manual treadmill. I walked 0.25 miles, ran/walked 0.25/0.10 miles, then walked 0.25 miles. Avg pace was 12:42 min/mile. Avg HR was 120 with a max of 150 bpm.
