Looks like synchronisation only works if today's steps exceed yesterday's. If it isn't then it will only show yesterday's steps and a minus 300 calorie adjustments 🤦🏻‍♂️. Problem for me started on 9 November and it is still not fixed. Most annoying.

Still having same problem since last week.

Having the same issue since 11/16. If I look at “Fitbit steps” in Progress it is correct, but “Steps” shows my total from the previous day. Disconnected it from MFP, synched, rewarded it and synchrd again with no change.

Same issue here too, for upwards of 2 weeks. And I thought it was me. I now know MFP and Fitbit inside and out. Those of us who use this app all day long are missing a valuable tool for our use and encouragement. Stay accountable, friends and hope this bug is fixed soon.

Hi all, this is still occurring with MFP...it's over a week now. Does anyone have any updates? Very annoying as it is messing with my adjusted calories and not counting correct steps.
Disappointed when I'm paying for MFP premium 😒

I have a similar issue. MFP is sending food data to Fitbit correctly, but for the last few days MFP is displaying the previous days steps info from Fitbit. Looks like this is a known issue, any ideas when this will be fixed.

Still happening for me. I think the problem might be with Fitbit not resetting the Step Count from yesterday at midnight. This morning the Fitbit App had yesterday’s steps, and I had to refresh in the Fitbit App several times before it refreshed today’s steps. I wasn’t surprised to see that MFP is displaying yesterday’s steps, and this won’t change unless/until I exceed yesterday’s.

Still happening a week on. Premium subscription is up for renewal soon and it'll be difficult to justify if this isn't sorted quickly.

The thing that annoys me most (I'm used to bugs taking a while to fix on MFP...) is that they haven't even bothered to add it to the list of known issues (yet) :#

Hi all, confirming the issue is on our radar and people are looking into it. Thanks for reporting and for your patience.

@durden what's the situation? I can't seem to find this issue in the list of known issues:

We've got a bug ticket open for this and are investigating- if it sticks around for more than a few days I expect it will show up on the known issue list at that point.

@durden any updates you can share?

It's happening to me too. Fitbit Versa 2, Android Samsung S23. Today it's showing yesterday's step total and not giving me calories for my morning bike ride. At least I'm in good company here.

I was having issues for about a month and it seemed resolved and then Saturday started again. It’s showing accurate Fitbit steps but giving me zero calorie adjustments. I have my base set to 1200 calories so that should never happen. Saturday I worked out and got over 12k steps too

Me too! Very frustrating. I have synced/unsynced Fitbit watch and MYP, uninstalled/installed MYP, restarted phone, cleared storage on phone, changed/unchanged Fitbit as my step counter.

Recently, I have been really relying on my calorie deficit to see my progress and this is greatly inhibiting me from doing so.

Mine is still playing up I have emailed mfp and they never respond! I’m really annoyed I just want this to be fixed already!

I had it work fine for the past few days, but this morning it's glitching again. I am curious though because when I opened the Fitbit app, it initially said I had yesterday's steps already (at 4:45 a.m. ?), but after going back two days and going back to today it reset itself. The problem is that then MFP has yesterday's steps. I was so excited that it had worked for a few days.

I'm glad I found this thread because I thought it was only me! But turns out it's affecting others too and that too more recently. I hope they come up with a solution because it's so hard to track calorie deficit and it's ruining my motivation to track anything on the MFP app anymore.

I too have paid for a Premium subscription because the coordination between Fitbit and MFP was important to me. It's been ten days and ot even is there not a fix, there seems to be a really casual attitude on MFP given they haven't notified people, opened up a post or a ticket to keep everyone updated.

I'm going to start looking at other tools for this if THEY DON'T FIX IT SOON or at LEAST, post it as a known bug that they introduced and are working to fix in a timely fashion. ROLL the software back if necessary, whatever you fixed when you broke this is not as important as this new bug you introduced.

Yes. The total lack of response by MyFitnessPal to this bug is very annoying.

Two weeks into using it, it began inconsistently syncing exercise from fitbit with the daily fd log.
So far there has been no announcement, or email from MFP when this started happening, what they are doing to fix it, and if and when it will be fixed. They don't seem to care at all that they sold a product with stated functionality, that now doesn't work.
Are we going to hear something from MFP about when this will be fixed, or do I start getting a refund?

They finally posted an outage. Sounds like a Fitbit issue again. Last one took over 15 days, and they don't have it listed as an outage over there yet. Would recommend making your voice heard over there.

What's even more annoying for you is that you don't need the paid version for it to do that, the free version synchs with Fitbit when it's working right.

I am getting the runaround. MFP says the problem is on Fitbit's end.
Fitbit says they already released a fix for this and the problem is on MFP's end.

I don't know whose problem it is, but I just want the apps to sync as were promised.

I have very little confidence in fitbit, having gone through the "Water lock" issue where they released an update where the devices were constantly going into water lock and they blamed it on customer setup. After two years they released an update and magically the problem that was supposed to be the customers' was fixed.

I was about to buy a new fitbit during black friday, and now there is this problem with exercise calories not coming over to MFP. WHOEVER's problem it is, I don't care I just want it fixed. Not listen to fingerpointing from both companies.

Nor do I want to wait two years for a fix.

Can anyone recommend a tracker that works and syncs with MFP ? Because if I can't get one that works, (having just paid for a new MFP premium sub) I will be looking to get my 80$ back

You are right about that, but I didn't want to deal with the ads. I was happy to pay for premium, but i did expect it to sync. And it did until about two weeks ago

Guess I’ll finally switch to Apple Watch come Xmas. Too bad, I liked my Fitbit.

It’s strange, because Fitbit is working perfectly fine on its own, and Fitbit is working perfectly fine with the Lose It app, which I downloaded a few days ago to try out since MFP wasn’t working correctly.

This seems to be a Fitbit problem. Every day since their last patch when I first log in, my steps do not show up as zero in the Fitbit app, instead it reads the same as the day before. Only after I have started walking will my steps reset in the Fitbit app. This is happening with steps, calories burned, and exercise. This is impacting MFP because it is reading the same API data. What I'm frustrated about is that there should be a way to force a sync between the apps.

I'm in the process of evaluating this app to use when I switch from Fitbit to Garmin. Fitbit isn't the same, and this is just another reason to drop them. I'll be ordering my Garmin gear tomorrow. As long as I'm not seeing the same issues with Garmin, then I'll be good and start premium with MFP.

I've been having the same issue since 11/8/2024. Very frustrating that a fix is taking so long.
