Today is my birthday! Yay! My sister is here and made me a marvelous chicken dinner with stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce, and chocolate cake!

My Dad had a sing along performance so we all went to hear them sing. And tomorrow we will go out with C.

Rosemarie - We had a projector light for Christmas that we shone on a tree. It died last year and we’re currently looking for another one.

Heather - Happy Anniversary to you and John.

I have two shows this weekend. Friday evening is a ladies only night, then Saturday is a full show from 10-4.
Next Saturday is also a 10-4 show.
Then the 14th and 15th of December.

Lisa - I love that bag. I’m also very envious of your craft room.

Machka - I’ll be working at least 10 more years too. I’m actually thinking it will probably be 14-16. I just hope I’m healthy enough to continue.
I don’t feel that I’ve had a good sleep in years. I wake up most days feeling like I was awake most of the night. This last week I’ve obviously slept because I’ve had dreams but it sure wasn’t a peaceful sleep.

Lanette - if you hadn’t prepared you probably would have had high winds. Your neighbourhood should thank you.

Barbie - I’m so sorry you have to switch cars. It makes sense but it hurts just the same I’m sure.
I am fortunate that Rodger is not a terrible passenger for the most part. I really hate driving with him though if there is traffic.

Evelyn - it was very scary. I never really did the bar scene, and we were probably relaxed that night because we were in a persons home and we knew most everyone.
Why is it so easy to let a habit slip than it is to build and keep it. It’s so odd.

Okie - I agree mine is in my heel as well, it started last summer and is still a struggle but not nearly as bad. I finally had to stop pushing through the pain and really give it a good long rest to heal properly along with the calf exercises and splint.

Allie - I agree 100% about Michele resting.

Rosemarie - I bet the organizer is a huge help. Sometimes you just need some help in these things.

I had a frustrating day today. The system at work is awful. I feel like a data entry clerk that can’t do anything to help anyone instead of a manager that fixes things. I am so happy with everything but this system, if I ever look for something else it will be because of this.

Then I get home and my wonderful, smart husband tells me that he is going to sand a chess board he is making for our son in law in my kitchen! Not just hand sanding but an electric sander. He even had the nerve to get a little touchy with me when I said how much work that would make for me. I would have to wipe walls down, wash curtains, dust everything! His response was that his workbench in his shop has his tools on it so there is no room. I bit my tongue and didn’t tell him moving a couple of tools would be much easier than what I would have to do.
I don’t even know how he thought this would make sense.
I have come up with a solution to try to accommodate both of us. I’m going to buy plastic table cloths and make a tent that will hopefully contain the mess, however I hope he realizes how unrealistic this is and decide to move the tools.
Ugh!
On a brighter note, my BFF sent me a text tonight that said Hi. I wrote Hi back and she said wanna chat? I said sure. As soon as I said hello when I answered she asked me what was wrong. She said she could tell by the way I said hi in text something was bothering me.
I miss her so much.
I’m just in a terrible mood this evening so hopefully tomorrow is much better.

It’s going to be late nights and long days now until Sunday.

Annie - Happy Birthday! How nice that your sister is there to help you celebrate. How long will she be there? I love that she's visiting and helping with some of your dad's care, giving you a break for a while. Do you think you'll stay in Delaware when circumstances eventually change with your dad? Maybe move closer to sis? I'm just curious if you're mulling over future plans.

Heather - good job getting on top of the early Christmas shopping. Nice that you've been given suggestions on what to buy that the kids will definitely appreciate.

Mo - sorry to hear about the mold behind the cabinet. What a lot of work and disruption. Very proud of you as you continue on your weight loss journey - you are a great inspiration to us!

When the weather was nice, I loved my walks alone outdoors, especially very early morning. I'd say some prayers or just spend time counting my blessings and it made my day go smoother. Even though I'm walking in the house these days, I still try to remember to do that.

Which brings me to - with the windstorm/power outage preparation over the past couple days, I totally spaced getting in my morning stretches and since I was busy moving firewood, and other tasks, I didn't get many house walks in either. I wore my old New Balance shoes which don't fit well anymore. My lower back and feet are complaining. I just finished my stretches and have meals planned again, plus new shoes with new orthotics should help everything. Nice to be back to "normal",

Tracey - I hope Rodger rethinks his sanding in the house project. Amazing how our DH's can get so focused on a project without a clue as to what kind of work they are making for us. With that and the old accounting system you have to use, no wonder you were frustrated by the end of the day.

Barbie - the new car sounds wonderful. Toyotas are at the top for reliability. Is it a hybrid? I'd probably go that route next time I get a vehicle.

Add me to the list of those having computer frustration. I told McAfee a while back I wasn't going to renew which comes up on January 5th. So I am getting banners and popups telling me my computer will be at risk, they removed many potential viruses yesterday and blah de blah. Just a few minutes ago I got disconnected from Wi-Fi. No idea why or how. It probably didn't have anything to do with McAfee but who knows. I'll do a major backup in a month then remove McAfee and let Microsoft Defender take over. If this old laptop takes a nosedive, I'll be ready.

I'm making some Indiana kidney bean salad this morning. 1 can drained kidney beans, 1 chopped hard boiled egg, 1/2 stalk chopped celery, a tsp of sweet pickle relish and 1 T mayo. Might slice up some grape tomatoes and stir them in. A big spoonful of that with cottage cheese and I'll have a high protein high fiber lunch.

Heather, those swim goggles are beautiful. Why are they so expensive? Eddie sounds like she is pretty athletic.

Machka, where you live,, is so beautiful. I love the shots of Canada,, too. Canada and Australia are definitely on my bucket list. It looks like you take any moment you can to get your steps in.

That is a chispa. She’s 15. We took her over and another dog from my mom. So now we have 3 kids.

Tried to go to choir last night. We had just enough snow to make it slippery. The choir director wanted us to come 15 minutes early plus pick up music in our boxes which adds another 5-10 minutes to retrieve. Our boxes are a hike from where we practice.

Because of traffic, snow, and darkness did not arrive 15 minutes early...After getting my music I noticed half my water bottle spilled in and on my bag. Water bottle is on the outside. When I went to clean out my bag ...the fire alarm went off. The choir just kept on singing. Our church had a fire about two years ago...That was the third thing off last night so I made the decision to go home...I knew the roads would only get worse not better. I arrived home safe and watched a comedy and sat and petted my dog.

Today sometime I will sing though the music with the recordings she supplied. Because we will not meet next Wednesday she wants us to stay after church for an hour and a half. Again I cannot make it, so I will again take another time to sing with recordings.
