Rebecca - That must cheer your heart! <3

    Allie - A baby's smile. Makes everything better. :)<3

Lisa - Sorry for the hitch in proceedings. Boo!

No ill effects from my walk today, apart from sore muscles. Will have a good exercise session tomorrow morning to stretch everything out.
Weather warming up overnight. The North are getting gales and snow. I think we will be OK down here.

Tracey – I wore the splint last night. But not for that long.

Soup kitchen today. It was COLD outside, but surprisingly we didn’t have a lot of guests inside. It was pretty steady. Some days it seems to come in spurts. But I did get to take some tomatoes home and some pineapple that they’d put out for the guests but no one took. I took the tomatoes because they were already sliced and they didn’t feel they would last the weekend. Personally, I think they would have, but I got nice looking tomatoes for free so I’m not complaining

I totally forgot that Jess said that she and four friends were coming, spending the night here and going to a concert. So here I was, late last night, hurry up and vacuumed, swiffer the floors a bit. Well, we’ll manage

Mo – I’m so sorry you had trouble keeping your babies. I’m sure that has something to do with the fact that you take such excellent care of babies at your work

Rita – regardless of how much pain Vince may be in, there is no way on this green earth I could get him to do some yoga (or pilates, for that matter). Good luck with your dh. I know Vince’s feeling is “real men don’t do yoga”. Yea, right…..

Lisa – so sorry to hear of your “whirlies”. They keep telling me that if I ever get them, to contact the MD because that might mean the tumor is growing. Fortunately, it hasn’t grown in 6 years.

Jess came here, she, Colby and 4 of her friends are going to a concert in Asheville and spending the night here. We’re waiting for her friends to get here. Not sure what we’re doing for dinner. Took Ganon for a walk, really didn’t want to but I knew that if I didn’t, Jess would get upset when I told her why, so I just did it. It was so cold (for here) outside and with the wind blowing, reminded me why I don’t want a dog. Just made ravioli for Jess and Vince.

Her friends came here and left for the concert. Jess stayed here. I thought she’d go with them but maybe it’s something that doesn’t interest her.

Heather - I was thinking I needed to get stamps too, but our postal workers are on strike. They seem to do this every couple of years at Christmas time.
Does your son in Nottingham ever get to come see you? How far away is it?

Mo - he does have a heater in his shop, it’s still cool because it’s a shed that doesn’t have insulation under the floor. We have put down the foam puzzle mats but at -19C it’s still cool. He was just being a bit lazy I think and didn’t want to move the tools to give himself room.

Machka - that grass sounds awful!

Lisa - I wish that he had been kidding, I thought he was at first but his reaction when I told him how much work it would make for me told me he wasn’t.
    I love your shelving!
I need to find my gloves, when I redid the kitchen in the Spring I put them “in a safe place”. 🤷‍♀️ 😂😳
I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Barbie - I think a lot of people fall into the have to have it now trap of those places.

Rita - sorry to hear the pain won’t get better, hopefully it is manageable.

Ford Mustang story - I had a friend, he was actually my first serious boyfriend, I fell in love with his mom and he became like a brother to me. Anyway the year I was expecting Kaitlyn I decided to have a Christmas party and invited him. He arrived in his new mustang, later in the evening his car needed to be moved and I was the only sober person that could drive a standard, he had parked on ice and when it finally decided to move for me it slid into the neighbours chain link fence. I was so upset, he was like it’s all good! Just giving it a story!
Too many times I’ve been the only sober one that knew how to drive a standard too many girls I knew didn’t want to learn, some guys too. My dad and grandfather wouldn’t let me get my licence until I learned.

Beth - sorry for all of your losses, glad your mom is settling in though.

Rebecca - I feel claustrophobic in night clothes as well, I never thought of the satin idea though for my sleepover wear.
How wonderful your boys were able to visit.

Michele - that’s a lot of people for a drop in sleepover. It’s the type of thing I love though.

I am at a craft show tonight it’s a ladies night. The table fee was only $15. I wouldn’t have been happy if it was more. I did sell 6 ornaments and one pen. I also bought a Christmas decoration for myself.
It’s the one of the first songs I remember my grandmother learning to play on the piano.
    It was only $15.

There was a young girl here selling plates with funny sayings in them.

I have a long drive home and then I’ll have to leave early in the morning for another show. I’m looking forward to Sunday.

Mo: I live near the Coast in Northern Ireland, (UK). Very cold weather is a rare occurrence, especially near the coast. I like your stream of consciousness writing.

Allie: 🥰 Delia is such a sunny girl. I see much resemblance between her and Miles.

Heather: It seems that you are well on your way to back to fitness. I’m also adding layers during the day as the days get colder. We have good insulation in our house, but in this weather, the house does get decidedly cooler.

Lisa: 🥰 the new setup. Sorry you’re having a flare up.

Beth: I know what you mean. By the time I get round to reading posts others have already said what I was going to say. 😂

I’m planning an active rest weekend. Just my usual Saturday trip to our local shops., and a visit to DED tomorrow to take some of her birthday presents up to her.

Otherwise, stay indoors as there is heavy cloud colour, and it’s still very cold today. There is a snow and ice warning, but that will probably only be on high ground inland.

It’s so uninviting outside that I’m back in bed after my morning workout, snuggled under the covers.

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

🙋‍♀️ Miele failte to the newbies.

    Good morning beautiful ladies!

My sister got back to Tennessee safely. She helped me go through the excess linens that my mom collected, so now there is room for my clothes in the front room. But there is still a lot of sorting to do with my old clothes.

I've been reading along but I think the function that keeps my place is unreliable. Love and cheer to all of you, and thanks for the birthday wishes!

Dad was confused yesterday. He asked me if I was renting an apartment. I have lived with him ten years now. I wonder if he had another microbleed in his brain. The other day he told us he had won a Novel prize. Oh well. No use guessing what course his disease might take.

My sister found some lovely simple religious picture books for him. But yesterday he got into one of my romance books and read thirty pages!

So I'm behind on my laundry and dishes. Time to get caught up today.

Have a great day, and may you all be happy, healthy, safe and free!

    Good morning ladies:

Slept in until 4:30 (progress for this week!)

Like several of you, comments I am thinking have been made!

Lisa-sorry to hear you are having a set back. Hopefully the spell does not last long. It seems like the space between them is getting longer.

Tracey-the plates are cute! Sorry you didn't sell more-hopefully the next show is better. My mom used to do alot of craft shows and it seems like there was no predicting what would happen.

Terri-I have always wanted to visit Ireland. From our limited search of our roots, I believe great-great grandparents on father's side were from County Tyronne. I research as I get a chance. I have always felt drawn there. When we were in England we never made it over.

Going to grocery a bit later today than my normal 6 am. I like getting it over with but I need to pick up pick up prescription at drug store which is next to grocery-will just make one trip to both.

As many have mentioned, the first cold is bothering me! Guess it is part of this aging process! I am thankful I have a warm house and clothes for a variety of temperatures!

Wanted to share a picture of my youngest grandchild. She is also a very happy baby. Parents are calling this her first school picture because it was a daycare shoot.

Off to get some morning stretches in. Slowly getting body back in shape from surgery in late 22, both bouts of covid in 23 and my foot! The medication change for my thyroid due to it impacting my body after 28 years has some other impacts. It has made me physically feel better and is better for my heart but has impacted my metabolism. So I have to balance it all and do what I can! Still better than I was years ago.

    Take care all,

Ginny ~ Your grandbaby is CUTE!

Allie ~ Delia just gets cuter and cuter with that happy smile.

Tracey ~ Those plates are something else. Hope you do very well at your show today. Enjoy reading about the adventures you have gone through.

MO ~ My sister in law passed away when our son was a year old after trying for the 5th time to deliver a healthy baby. We will never know why she was unable to go for a full term but sounds a lot like what you went through. I am glad you were finally able to get two healthy babies. We all love your stories.

Beth ~ Condolences for all the people you have had passing away since Sept. We have felt the same way this year as we have lost 4 people in our family that we were close to. Glad that the people on your mom's care team notice her ups and downs and informs you. Sorry she had a bad episode when you visited.
