Healthy fastfood

I wanted to put this up for fast-food healthy options. I firsts one is from Wendy's ,chili, its low carbs and only about 500 calories for the large. It's delicious.

    Sometimes fast food is our choice. I live near McDonald's, burger King, & wendys. I would guess Wendy's chili and Wendy's baked potatoes are my healthiest choices for drive thru. Luckily I like both.

    If I feel like having take away food then I usually cook it myself. I know what's inside and how many calories. Plus it's likely a lot tastier and has better ingredients.

    Chick-Fil-A: swap the fried chicken sandwich for the grilled chicken sandwich. Same 28g of protein but for less than half the calories! Bonus points for swapping the waffle fries for the fruit cup (one third the calories plus fiber/nutrients).

    You used to be able to swap out kale crunch for waffle fries for the same price and now they CHARGE EXTRA to do that. I have not gone back to Chik Fil A since they started that BS!!!

    I mostly don't like fast food (I know, weird). Some chain options that work include Jimmy John's lettuce wrap (unwich) with reasonable fillings, Subway salads (any sub filling can be a salad instead), and certain selections at Taco Bell.

    In the Taco Bell case, they'll make a lot of things - and do a lot of substitutions - that aren't necessarily on the menu boards. Their web site has a nutrition calculator at https://www.tacobell.com/nutrition/calculator, which can help with figuring out orders that I will like well enough, and that fit my calorie/nutrition goals.

    Panera has some OK options, but the soups vary by day, so it's hard to know.

    If I'm local, I'd often go to one of the local Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern places and get take-out, where there are quite a few filling, nutritious things I find tasty. That's worked when traveling sometimes, too, just finding equivalent places in other cities. My favorite local coffee shop has a great yogurt bowl that I get for breakfast or lunch sometimes, too.

    I just ordered lamburger from A Greek place a few days ago. The manager told me lamb is very lowfat and low calories, I really liked it so Im ordering lambchops next time.

    Lamb is very close to beef, but there is one big advantage- lamb doesn't come from big corn-fed factory farms

    Yup, lean lamb can be very lean (leg steaks, backstraps and fillets), but lamb mince, lamb chops, lamb roasts all tend to be very high in fat, more so than beef.

    I'm in Australia, and lamb is just as, if not more popular and available than beef, we eat it all the time, and I'm careful to go the lean cuts because it can really bump my calories.
