What would be the best plan to follow on MyFitnessPal app for the Mediterranean diet?

Just eat high fat, but low in red meat, lots of plants. Whole grains instead of refined grains0

Try EatingWell 30 day Diet Meal Plan for Weight loss. It takes all the guess work out of what you should be eating.

I'm on week on so far everything is filling and taste great. Some of the recipes are already in MFP but the bulk ingredient add for recipes make it super easy to cut from EatingWell website. Just remember to paste as text with no formatting.
Any mediterranean diet will involve a lot of chopping... remember most dinner recipes are for 4 servings. I forgot and way over bought produce...0 -
My own approach to a small part of the Mediterranean diet:
Cooking oil- only olive oil
Only cheese is feta and use it like a seasoning, not a bulk filler ingredient.0 -
I especially like the ancient practice of discarding most of the carcass of an animal and only eating the lean pieces and the main one of removing the fat from most of the dairy, a practice passed down through the generations , lol.1

What do you mean by this? Every country around the Med has a totally different cuisine, but offal is eaten in many countries, and especially Spain has some amazing and very tasty food that I just don't manage to replicate at home. In some you can get brain. Bones and marrow are often used for broths. Why would you throw perfectly fine food away?1 -

What do you mean by this? Every country around the Med has a totally different cuisine, but offal is eaten in many countries, and especially Spain has some amazing and very tasty food that I just don't manage to replicate at home. In some you can get brain. Bones and marrow are often used for broths. Why would you throw perfectly fine food away?

I ... wasn't sure 🤐 My odd brain sometimes has problems recognizing sarcasm in writing 🙈😅 Phew! But yeah, I kind of have the feeling that many US cookbooks focussing on 'Med diet' don't feature anything but lean cuts.1 -

If you're talking about formal MFP "Meal Plans" that are a premium MFP feature, I think the only ones they have now are high protein and low carb plans. I wouldn't expect those to be super-compatible with a Mediterranean eating approach. Some of the "Nutrition Plans" might be helpful and compatible, depending on what your current eating routine is.
I'm looking at "Building Healthy Habits", "Healthy Kickstart" and maybe "Reaching Your Calorie Goal" when I say that. None of those looks Mediterranean specific, but the intros sound as if they'd be Mediterranean compatible. They might be helpful if your current eating routine is low on veggies/fruits, heavier on packaged/processed foods, maybe high in added sugar, or if you're not feeling very full/satisfied on lower calories.
To be clear, I'm one of those DIY eating plan people, too, as I think most others who've commented are. I've looked casually at the MFP plans out of curiosity, and feel like some of the long-timers here don't really know those plans exist. They're still new-ish, and premium only. That's why I'm answering, in case that's what you're asking about. If that's not what you're asking about, comments above are more on point.0
