No food today just been drinking tea. So far I’m up to 60oz. I will have one more 20z tea to go then I will stop. Starting at 6pm I start drinking that poop. Directions say 8oz every 15 minutes. I’ll probably do more than that. Stop after I get to the 1/2 way point, then the rest starting at 4am. I’m going to sleep downstairs tonight because I will be getting up and down a lot.
Sine I didn’t eat anything I will be adding 1000 calories to my food diary. If I don’t then it won’t complete and I don’t want to miss the streak I have going on.

Just having MFP open will continue your MFP logging streak.
I haven't logged in ages but my days keep going up because I leave MFP open on my laptop.
In my case, I log every day and I don’t leave mfp open all the time, so my streak is my actual logging streak.5 -

I have tried it cold and room temperature. I tend to chug it to get it over with. I can’t chug it if it’s cold so it’s more like room temperature for me. Unfortunately it’s got that lemon flavor packet to add. The problem is, I am not crazy about lemonade or lemon meringue pie so it gives me more insensitive to chug it, lololol

Today was some parmesan Naan chips with a container of hummus. Main meal was a small pizza. I ate some espresso/chocolate squares with my coffee and closed my eating window at 3 pm. I had opened my eating window at 10:45 am.
Well I was supposed to get my oven cleaned today by a gal I called earlier this past week. Well she called this morning dying she woke up sick. She said she could reschedule next week. I told her no worries, but I needed her fully healthy before she comes over, due to my husband being immune compromised. Just because the kitchen is a fairly active hub. She was surprised but I told her my oven isn't going anywhere so to just get better. We live on "island time" so there's that!

Morning, my chicks,
I was very talky yesterday, wasn't I! Weird day. Texted back and forth with daughter and son, which was helpful, but it took Corey two and a half hours to get home. They sent him home early, as they wanted everyone in at 3 a.m. this morning, and apparently many bosses sent people home early, so he was trapped on country roads in six inches of snow with people who had no idea how to drive in it. I fielded a lot of frustrated phone calls, all from my Alaskan husband! 😜🙀🐈⬛😽
Bless him, he kissed me goodbye at 2 a.m., as he was expecting it to take a while for him to get to work. I know he's running on empty by now.
I just went out and stuck a ruler in the snow, and was shocked to see the 7-inch mark when I pulled it back, and then realized it was upside down, so was actually 5 inches. 👀😜😹 I hadn't had any coffee yet, you know.
Looks like this same system is about to hit our folks in Ohio, all up and down the East Coast, and all the way down to North Carolina and Georgia. Mo even had a night of it in Mississippi. Hope y'all are all dealing with more rain than snow. It's a mess in Arkansas, can't imagine the deep South.
I'm planning on chilling today. If I can get Egg to vacate my sewing table, I'll get a little sewing done, but I have a lot of sympathy for someone who had to go potty in the snow this morning😝🐈⬛😽. She's not a fan of that white stuff on the ground.
Did make my third day of exercise yesterday - felt that old familiar stabby in the left knee this morning. Records are supposed to be getting to the new ortho soon, hopefully get looked at before too long.
Later, y'all,
Love,

Morning all
Im here with Delia who is down for a nap.she cat naps..
Kyle cranky with Tracy because she will work until March and then stay home with the kids..to pay for daycare working full time she would have to pay her whole paycheck just for daycare.so its not worth it..but he is mad that they can't fix the cellar or go on vacation..sheesh..he has to get over things.6 -
Barbie - glad you have your attorney's office to help you navigate all of this. I found the staff at my county auditor's office very helpful.
Vicki - I don't blame you for not being interested in that phone sales job. I wouldn't want to take the abuse, lol. Good to hear you can keep your car in a warm spot.
Lisa - BRRR!
Stay warm and safe, kids.

Corey said in his good morning call that they got eight inches down by the river, so we we might well have gotten the 7 inches of snow that I first thought, pre-coffee.😹The well house, seen from my kitchen window:
Corey's garden, seen from the sunroom:
The basket that was filled with purple shamrocks this last summer:
My front yard and driveway. Well, there's one there, you just can't see it - it actually runs from that open gate at the bottom to the left of that little redbud tree shivering in the snow. Corey's tracks are already filled in from him leaving at 2 a.m., and more snow is coming in another couple hours. Hopefully just a light dusting, but who knows? 🤷🏻♀️
Have to give the little weather weasels their props - they predicted it, got it right within just a couple hours of arrival, and underestimated the snow amount by only a little bit. That's a tough call, always, and they did really, really well. I pound on them so much about getting it wrong, figured I should mention when they get it right! 👀😹😜
Egg isn't stirring, so I might just get in the shower and then try to teach myself to knot. Errr... knit. Yeah. I can do that. Again. Maybe I'll be better at it now that I'm old! 🤷🏻♀️👀😹 It could happen.

Light rain, fire in the woodstove, Annie dozing on the back of the couch, dancing later this morning.
I'm reading a great book called "We'll Prescribe You a Cat" by Syou Ishida .It's about people with problems like insomnia, dissatisfaction, at work or home who go to a difficult to find mental health clinic where they are prescribed and given a cat to take home and how their lives change. It's different from anything I've read before. It made me think that maybe I was prescribe Annie to help me with what ails me.

Lisa You got our snow. So far are not getting much snow. We have at least two more months of winter to go so this could change.
Barbie If you have to deal with Social Security you can no longer walk in. They are making everyone call for an appointment. They will try to get you to complete things with a phone appointment. I would try to insist you need an in person appointment. For me it would have taken two more months to get things settled if I had waited for the phone appointment. At the time I could still have a walk appointment.
Hopefully everything will go quickly and easy with settling Jake's estate. I did learn to use a speaker phone and had a book to read while I waited for some of the people I had to talk to. Getting the right person to help is part of the process.
I kept telling myself it was improving my brain by going through a learning process and working on my patience as I navigated DH estate. I found being as pleasant as I could talking to the person on the other end of the phone helped.
One of the hardest comments for me was having them say they were sorry for my loss.5 -
Lisa ~ That's a lot of snow! We in Georgia are getting a good snow for the first time in about 7 yrs. It looks pretty but the prediction is that the snow falling will stop pretty quickly and we will be stuck with dangerous frozen ice!
Carol in Georgia4 -
Good Morning, Ladies. I didn't get to keep the pretty white stuff. I love snow! I don't want to commute in it, especially in Mississippi. They don't know how to deal with snow here, and I can not skip work. Rose loves snow, too. We have cold rain currently. So, I did turn up the heat downstairs to 65. It is on 68 upstairs. My sinuses can't tolerate too much heat, and DS is the same. It is so weird having a housemate other than Rose. Poor dog has to spend time with each of us. Last night, she slept with me. So she woke me up early to go potty. I had to make her go out in the rain and then toweled her off(she has her towels with paw prints on them). Currently, she is curled up in bed with DS. I am going back to bed so I can work tonight rested. I was up till 3 am studying for my recertification.
Vicki, are you on LinkedIn? My DH found the job of his dreams through LinkedIn—just a thought. I wouldn't do phone sales, either. Have you heard any scoop on your former job? I honestly feel they did you wrong(as my favorite patient would say).
Lisa, I am concerned that this will happen to your daughter again. She needs to seek counsel. That is why the abuser always gets away with stuff. No one protects the women and children. This can escalate to something worse. This makes me nervous. I do not trust your daughter's ex-husband at all. His behavior is hurting the children as well as your daughter. He sounds like a piece of poo (sorry).
Barbie, it is a good thing that you are seeking counsel on how to settle the estate. My mom was angry that my dad left me 100% of his life insurance. So she didn't want me to handle anything. She went to her girlfriend instead. So, no attorney. I am still trying to deal with my dad's estate. I had my friend keep his guns safe. I missed some,e so my mom was arrested for shooting the gun in the air. The guns my dad had were collector's items. If I kept them, Julia would have stolen them and perhaps gotten into real trouble. Now my friend doesn't talk to me and keeps the guns. I don't deal with firearms; they make me nervous. My dad taught me how to break down a German Luegar and put it back together. The house she let her girlfriend's nephew live there for free. He tore up the house with his parties. We had to pay him 15,000 to vacate. We sold the house to HGTV, showed FLIP or Flop, and it was on TV. The girlfriend still writes, and my mom's sister dislikes her. The girlfriend said that she could not deal with my mom anymore. My aunt says she got all the money from my grandparents' estate. ???? Who knows. I say all this to say you are saving yourself from a headache. If anyone wants to see the episode, look up a house in Torrance, CA, on Van Deene Ave. Sending tight hugs, Barbie.
Well, I will talk to everyone next week. Have a lovely weekend. If I have time, I will pop in sooner. Be safe and warm, everyone.
XO,
Mo in Mississippi

I’m still sick. Sinuses feel like they are on fire, edge of nose is sore from Kleenex, and I was up all night coughing. So not much to say. I did read everyone’s posts. Oh, yes, my kidney doc called yesterday to do a phone appointment. All is well there and I don’t have to go to town. We got about 2 inches of snow total yesterday. Sun is out today, but still very cold. I am thankful for our heater!
Thought for today:
What do corn farmers use as the internet?
They use the cobweb.

Thank you so much for starting this thread. I have had a MFP account for years, but have never visited any discussions for some reason. However, this thread resonated with me. I was doing well with fitness last year, but lost the motivation in Oct 2024 and am trying to get that healthy mindset back. More than anything I just want to be in good physical condition as I age. Reading through the comments, I saw a lot of support and encouragement here and it is inspiring and wonderful.

Margaret, Thank you for your wise and comforting words.
Mo, Thank you for sharing your experience.
Other than jumping through a lot of hoops, the estate should be reasonably simple. Jake and I had "mirror wills" that left all to each other with family equally dividing following the death of both of us. Washington is a community property state and we have a community property agreement. It will just be time and a million phone calls. I have been reminded to take it one step at a time.

I know that's a lotta snow for some of y'all but I'm sure missing it here. Our snow disappeared with the rain a couple weeks ago and it looked like late March around here. Brown and disgusting. I like at least a couple inches on the ground for most of the winter.
Very excited to be playing hooky today (with permission) and headed out of town to play with paper and my card-making girlfriends for the weekend. Best part is that the proceeds go to the church pre-school building program! See ya!
Love and Blessings

When I went to buy the haggis, I saw they had oxtail for sale. For some reason, I thought it was an appropriate time of year for a hearty stew, so I bought a packet. Cooked it today. If I hadn't had an IP it would have taken around 4 hrs!! As it was it took over an hour, with me testing it every so often. Eventually I got it tender enough to come off the bone and it was very tasty, but I think it will be a while before I do it again. It's probably 8 or so years since the last time!!! Enough left for one person's meal. Might make a soup with some beans.
I feel pleased I took the opportunity, but I much prefer pig's cheeks for a winter stew. Doesn't take as long and equally tasty..

Just popping in for a second, to tell a quirky story that happen this week... I pay the bills for my mom, write the checks and keep track of everything - she signs the checks and at this moment will not let me go electronic - So we got a bill for the gas and electric, and it showed that it was past due, well I checked and the check book showed that the last bill had been paid, I did not have my computer with me so thought I would call and just ask what the date of the last payment was, as maybe things had passed in the mail. I called and got a live agent, who told me she needed to talk to the person who was named on the bill. When I told her he was dead (it was still in my dad's name - he died in 1977) their policy was to close the account immediately and if someone else did not put the homes gas and electric in their name the gas and electric would be turned off within one hour. So since my mom is 95 and can not hear on my cell phone - she has to be on hers with a wired headset - I had to put the account in my name, I think this will be ok over the long haul - but it just shows that letting something slide can have an effect down the road. And through this I had to pass a credit review..... thank goodness that was ok too.....
I will be going through all the bills to see what else my mom did not change. She has never considered herself a widow. Just that her husband is on a unending business trip with god. She would even tell my much younger siblings that daddy was on a business trip - Very damaging to them as when he was alive he took alot of business trips and always came home.

DH found out that they will be keeping his mom in the rehab place at least another week and that PT will continue after she is moved into the new care home-two days a week. She is improving, slowly. They see that she is capable of doing a lot more than she is. She is very stubborn.7

Welcome Rochelle, I hope you are safe in CA. This is a great place for motivation and accountability! I just love all these ladies! Some are uber athletic, and then there's me that do the gym but it takes every ounce of gumption to go.😂👍🏼
We are all at different phases of the journey. Like riding a train. My ending destination station is another's starting station. Its like "wow really your starting weight is my goal weight, so crazy". But there's no judgement here, just support and that's nice. No religion or politics on the thread though. There's other social media for that.👍🏼

Mo – no, the headphones don’t plug into my phone. They work by bluetooth. When they are turned on, they connect to the application. The headphones are on my head and the phone can be nearby. See, I have these spinning workouts. I didn’t get a message that my headphones were “low battery” (I usually do) but I brought them home, charged them, and could listen to Sirius XM thru the headphones so I know that the fact that they weren’t charged was the problem.
We got all the extension cords in the house and put away. They are calling for snow Fri so we wanted to get them off the ground. If it snows on the arches or the “fence”, no big deal. I’m hoping that tomorrow after the soup kitchen we can start to prebowl for when we go to FL and then Sat. (supposed to snow) we can at least put the blowmolds away since that involves only being in the garage. Then we can get the ladder in the garage to put away all the PVC pipe.
Vince is concerned about my driving to work on snowy roads (isn’t that sweet of him?). I told him that one of the good things about my going to work so early is that there are few cars on the road. As he pointed out, that also means no snowplows. Not like NC has much, anyway
Lanette – is the Ezekiel bread $7 a loaf? I’m quite sure it’s not that much around here. I could be wrong, tho.
Dinks – welcome. 1-1/2 pounds between Jan 1 and the 9 is awesome!
Barbie – sometimes it’s worth it to pay a little more. I remember when we were having the pool built, I wanted a spa with a waterfall but that would add so much to the cost. Vince just said “let’s go for it because I know if we don’t you’ll always be sad”. I love it.
Allie – I’m so glad to see that you’re taking care of yourself.
Ordered these hand warmers from Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/coldSky-Rechargeable-Magnetic-Electric-Handwarmers/dp/B0CHMFFZNP/ref=sr_1_5?crid=4SXK1IFWYNEN&dib=
I’m thinking they’ll be good in my coat pockets when I go for my walk
Rita – I use the Keurig when I volunteered at the Green Room. Also, when we were at Jess’ for christmas. Colby has one for his coffee so that was how I got my water for tea. And I went thru a fair amount of it!
Lisa – let me add that knowing your body and fight for what you feel is the right thing. Like that “callous” on my foot. I saw one podiatrist (that’s how he’s listed on the Internet) who misdiagnosed it. Then he sent me to another person who continued the misdiagnosis. I finally insisted on a podiatrist and he’s really helped. Now it’s just a tender heel but that’s because in not wanting to put weight where the “callous” was, I compensated by putting weight on my heel.
You know how I always say that when Vince isn’t feeling well, you’d think the world was coming to an end? Well, when I got home from work he told me how he felt so crappy, that he felt he was going to throw up. Then he went outside to roll up the extension cords and now he’s feeling better. I thought for sure he’d want crackers for dinner but he wants the shrimp I was originally going to have. Men!!!
Worked then went to the soup kitchen. They’re calling for snow but I was very surprised how busy we were. It was COLD out when I got there. Afterwards, we started prebowling for when we go to FL.
Mo – so very impressed with your post to Carol. What insight!
Ordered these bathroom plastic canvas tissue holders. Last time I got a kit. This time all I got was the instructions. Yuk! That means that I’ll have to go to the store and buy a whole skein of yarn for just a little bit
Allie – Kyle is mad because he can’t go on vacation???? Maybe he needs to get a higher paying job. Don’t mind me. I’m just being snarky
Rochelle – welcome
Off to either mahjongg or jigsaw puzzle (maybe I should work on that?)

No workout today.
Good news:
got the colonoscopy done and finished that awful stuff before the 6am deadline
Kirby gave me some kind bars so I could eat as soon as I was done. He thinks of everything.
I lost 4 pounds
Bad news:
- i threw up on my quilt that my friend made me, good news it was clear liquid , didn’t make it to the bathroom in time . Looks like new.
- Even though I followed directions to a t, they couldn’t complete the procedure, my poop liquid wasn’t clear enough once he got in there.
- I’ll have to do it again sometime but THIS time I will have to have 2 days of not eating before the procedure not one
I’m cold (you loose all your electrolytes and I get cold). I’ll b back to normal tomorrow I’m sure
Tomorrow we go camping and will be in our new camper and I will have to put all the stuff away and figure out where I want everything .
