Lisa ~ That's a lot of snow! :) We in Georgia are getting a good snow for the first time in about 7 yrs. It looks pretty but the prediction is that the snow falling will stop pretty quickly and we will be stuck with dangerous frozen ice!

When I went to buy the haggis, I saw they had oxtail for sale. For some reason, I thought it was an appropriate time of year for a hearty stew, so I bought a packet. Cooked it today. If I hadn't had an IP it would have taken around 4 hrs!! As it was it took over an hour, with me testing it every so often. Eventually I got it tender enough to come off the bone and it was very tasty, but I think it will be a while before I do it again. It's probably 8 or so years since the last time!!! Enough left for one person's meal. Might make a soup with some beans. :D
I feel pleased I took the opportunity, but I much prefer pig's cheeks for a winter stew. Doesn't take as long and equally tasty..

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

:) Light rain, fire in the woodstove, Annie dozing on the back of the couch, dancing later this morning.

:) I'm reading a great book called "We'll Prescribe You a Cat" by Syou Ishida .It's about people with problems like insomnia, dissatisfaction, at work or home who go to a difficult to find mental health clinic where they are prescribed and given a cat to take home and how their lives change. It's different from anything I've read before. It made me think that maybe I was prescribe Annie to help me with what ails me.

Hey Barbie got your cards haul! Thank you! You make my pen pals and Christmas card exchange hobby a financial breeze with all these cards you sent me! Thank you so much! These are the nice cards with the matching envelopes too.💖
    Big hugs to you!

Thank you so much for starting this thread. I have had a MFP account for years, but have never visited any discussions for some reason. However, this thread resonated with me. I was doing well with fitness last year, but lost the motivation in Oct 2024 and am trying to get that healthy mindset back. More than anything I just want to be in good physical condition as I age. Reading through the comments, I saw a lot of support and encouragement here and it is inspiring and wonderful.

Welcome Rochelle, I hope you are safe in CA. This is a great place for motivation and accountability! I just love all these ladies! Some are uber athletic, and then there's me that do the gym but it takes every ounce of gumption to go.😂👍🏼
We are all at different phases of the journey. Like riding a train. My ending destination station is another's starting station. Its like "wow really your starting weight is my goal weight, so crazy". But there's no judgement here, just support and that's nice. No religion or politics on the thread though. There's other social media for that.👍🏼
