Pip …. Sorry your colonoscopy was not successful. Our doctor does not use the gallon jug of yucky liquid anymore. Now it’s . 3 small bottles of magnesium citrate spaced between dulcalax tablets and some phazyme. We do have to drink a specified amount of water too.3

Carol you were not in my list of friends today I checked. You could try another friend request.
Heather cut off about a half inch on the bottom of your daffodils and places them in water. That helps open them up.
For sleep I am going to eat my chocolate at lunch. I learned to give caffeinated food 10 hours before bed so it can go through so as to not disrupt sleep. This will also help me eat less dark chocolate!1 -
Margaret ~ I sent you a PM on the MFP site.

Pip- Kirby heard right just what I told you cold and through a straw.. have fun camping ...
No ladies they are still together..they had Miles birthday party today..and Kyles mom came..who always tends to put a wrench in the monkey works.. 2 of Kyles cousins were there and Joanne can't stand them ,so she starts saying stuff and they basically kept themselves in different rooms. But when she left she texts Kyle all this nasty stuff, which gets him upset, and then he blows up..luckily he went upstairs and closed the door and yelled...,but it has always been this way..his mother is bad news.. but they invited her for Miles sake..
Told Kyle ,I said listen you always have me to lean on which he does and he knows it and does appreciate all that I do for the family..
But 2 hrs of kids and people was enough..,I went and picked Alfie up and am home and tucked under the covers in my warm jammies ..just where I want to be.
Alfie had a blast as usual and Tom leaving in the am for Florida ..hopefully for the last time..hope all goes well with home inspection and its a done deal..7 -
Went to get hay at the co-op for the critters and found the passenger side door latch on the truck was broken. We had this happen once before when we were at lowes getting fencing but it was the driver side door. The spring in the latch broke. Can't really complain as the truck is old, a 2006 and has to sit outside. Will have to find some place to get it fixed as I have decided not to return to the dealer's. They wanted $12,000 to fix an oil leak. Oh well the horses have hay to last a while. We put the horses and goats out in seoarate pastures because it was supposed to be nice today. However it is now raining. So much for the weather forecast.
Have been keeping track of the CA fires and so far all relatives we have in SoCal are safe. Hope all of you with snow and ice stay safe.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA8 -

We were just relaxing before going to bed when there was a huge bang in the kitchen and the sound of glass smashing and falling. I thought a cupboard must have fallen off the wall. But it was the big Velux window above the sink, which had burst on the inside pane and sent glass everywhere. Thank goodness no one was standing at the sink.
We cleared it up as well as we could and put the glass in a box. So, more expense, after the fence repair! Tomorrow we will have to have an extra sweep around.
I will try to contact Velux, but again, it is impossible to get in touch with these companies through normal means. The window is around 20 years old. Apparently there was some design fault around that time. We have another one above the dining table.
I feel really shaken up.

Carol I did not get your message. Please send a friends request first. I think they changed it that in order to message someone you need to be friends first.1
-
Heather - Glad no one was nearby when it shattered! I would be shaken, too...
Corey's in making dinner... Really enjoyed the gab with my sis this morning! So glad to see her face - and lordie, she got old.🤣 She's two years younger than I am, so goodness knows how old I look!
Barometric headache pounding, welcome warm front on its way in, but hard on my sinuses.
Later, love y'all,

I’ve got so far behind and not sure if I have the time to comment much.
Lisa: ”If you fall down, you HAVE to be able to get back up. It's terribly important.” Totally agree. I had a small tumble in the bedroom just before Christmas. No injuries. DH was outside, so it took me a while to figure out how to get myself upright. In the end, I shuffled on my bottom to the top of the stairs and used the bannisters to help me get up. I’m now increasing my arm strengthening exercises.
Machka: Sorry to hear about your DH’s fall. I would be the same if mine had a fall. I would struggle to help him up.

Sue ... $12,000 to repair an oil leak! Wow! I would not be taking it to a dealership either with those kinds of prices. We use a small local garage for everything that's out of warranty. Much more reasonable costs.
Heather ... just dropping a glass on the floor upsets me. A broken window would have me rattled too.
Beth6 -
A little warmer today. Got the car washed and in the garage. No plans to go anywhere until Monday when we have class at the hospital for DH's surgery.
Katie--So glad you are doing so well.
Tracey--Hope Roger enjoyed his party. I tried doing surprise party for DH a couple times and I would mess up and say something and he would figure it out.
Tina--Please stay safe, sounds like you are keeping on top of things.
Heather--The breaking window would of scared me too. I am so glad no one was hurt. Will you be replacing the other one too? I know windows are not cheap. 2 years ago we replaced all of ours but 2as they are inside the back screened in porch.

Rita - we have a single cup Keurig and only use the reusable pods unless we take it camping. We found it more economical.
Barbie - Annie is doing well. I imagine that getting answers on steps to take will be a big relief for you.
Evelyn - I sent you a friend request.
Rebecca - I sent you a friend request on FB. I am sorry, I completely forgot about that happening.
I just sent the request this after you posted that. So good that you deleted it.
My current profile pic is me and my Dad at Christmas, he was dressed as Santa.
I think the others are using an old photo of me. I changed my password last week I thought they had moved along.
Allie - I’m sorry Kyle is being so miserable. He had to have known the costs associated with a baby and I would assume he agreed to have another one. It’s terrible he just seems to blame and be angry at Tracy for it.
More to comment on, but I’m heading to bed. It’s been a long frustrating week at work and home.
Tomorrow is Rodger’s 60th birthday we are having a surprise gathering for him at Olive Garden. It’s my job to get him there which may be difficult.
I’m looking forward to a dinner out even though it’s no longer in the budget this week. It’s been planned for quite a while now.

We get together sooner or later, no worries.👍🏼

Saturday 11 January
Solo 60 km Permanent (kind of like the UK Audax DIYs).
Distance: 59.94 km
Elevation: 332 m
Moving Time: 3:16:16
Elapsed Time: 3:43:08
Calories: 879
This was my longest ride since my husband and I did 100 km on Fri, 27/01/2023. Two years ago! I'm not as fit as I'd like to be. The climbing and the heat kind of got to me today, but I finished!
Machka in Oz
I find it a little bit disappointing that it takes so much work to burn 879 calories ... even at my current weight. 3 hours and 16 minutes of consistent pedalling, up hills, against wind and all.
It's relatively easy to eat 879 calories ... pity it takes so much effort to burn it off!
Tired today.

Good afternoon!
Well, night before last we noticed the snow all messed up under the oak tree in the front yard. Too deep of tracks for squirrels, so thinking deer. We did set up two trail cams to be able to spy on them, but they haven't been back, yet. The night before that I saw two come around the corner of the house and cut down the front yard. Am hoping to get some pictures.
The squirrels got our plow truck for the 3rd time! I will be glad when kitties can earn their keep! At least it is back up and running. It only takes care of our driveway and our nephew's.
So I went to the doctor yesterday. I get tired of being asked/bulled about why I won't take any vaccines. Regardless of a person's views, I wish people would respect other's views. I really need to find a new doctor. My WBC is low, but she isn't concerned. They seem to stay low a lot. My BUN is low, but again no concern. My glucose is 97 and she was like "I realize it is normal, but it is on the high side. You should eat less fried food." I rarely eat fried foods, not my thing! A1C is 5.5 so I am happy with fasting glucose. My cholesterol is 231. Triglycerides are-great. HDL is 80. Again great! My LDL is 133 which is "high" but it has run high since I was 30. She wants to put me on Cholesterol meds. She said she is surprised my cardiologist doesn't have me on them yet. I get really tired of having to explain myself to the doctor! My ratio is great. My cardiologist is happy with all of my test results. I really need a new doctor. That will be TOP priority! I also learned that it is a good thing to weigh yourself before going to the doctor especially in the winter! I would have had a heart attack when I saw 140 on the scale if I hadn't weighed in the morning! Anyway, other than all that hub bub, she said I am very healthy. Oh, and she wants me to take calcium even though blood work says its normal. Otherwise, she says I am perfectly healthy! I
Remember when I said that we hadn't seen any deer.....well, I was cooking dinner tonight, looked out the kitchen window, and this was my view! They were there for over an hour!
Was asleep at 8 last night curled in the recliner with the kittens. Actually slept 8.5 hours! Did get a slight nap this afternoon as I had been trying to type this. The kittens really aren't much help with typing! They are great nap partners though!
Heather That would be so scary!!!! I am glad you are both okay though!
Once again,
I am so thankful to have all of YOU in my life!
I love the knowledge that everyone shares!
Stay safe!
Make good choices!
Lots of Love,
Kylia in Ohio

Found this photo of me from my birthday of 2023.And im amazed at the amount I have lost from this photo..will have to get another one soon7 -
A day of adventures. I opened the box with the Roomba that daughter sent and quickly realized that it was too complex for me right now (QR code, download app, set up an account, find the right place to put the charging station, program a route) so I boxed it up to send back to Amazon. Daughter understood when I told her on the phone and confessed that she has an Instant Pot that she's never used because it looks too complicated. I didn't pay careful attention to Annie after our 11 AM walk with a friend and she chewed through one of the straps on her harness so I decided to buy a new one at Petco that was stronger (also planned to get it off her the minute we come back from a walk on leash). As I reached to get the box with the Roomba out of the front seat of the car at the drop off place, Annie saw some birds and managed to get out of the car and run all over in the parking lot. Several people came out to help and we finally corralled her with the help of a few pieces of kibble from my pocket. I bought a new harness at Petco but it was too small so I had to go back out and exchange it for the next size. We took a walk with the new harness and it worked great. I'm going to spray the straps to discourage chewing.

Woke up today and went to work only to find out that they didn’t open until around 9. See, to me driving in an inch or 2 of snow is no big deal. To the southerners, they hunker down. So I came home, rode the exercise bike and watched “The Blues Brothers” movie. To me, it was a bit rude of her not to at least text me that she wasn't opening. I checked my texts before leaving the house and there weren't any. The mgr said that she’d give me a key so I can do my prep but, to be honest, I really don’t want one. I don’t want the responsibility. Well...we shall see what happens.
After work we got all but 3 of the blowmolds put away. Tomorrow we’ll probably work on taking down the “fence” so we can put the long pieces of pipe away and the rebar stakes in the box
After work stopped at the Dollar store because there was a card I needed. They had a sign “due to severe weather, we won’t be open until tomorrow.” Lisa – stop laughing. “Severe weather” to them is 1-1/2 inches of snow.
Started the jigsaw puzzle last night. I have a feeling that the puzzle mat isn’t going to work out as well as I had hoped. Wonder if maybe we can put a piece of wood over the puzzle as I’m working on it so that the cats don’t get to it when I’m not working on it
pip – I know when I had to drink that yukky stuff for my colonoscopy, at the end I usually have to hold my nose just to get it down. That is the ONLY time I ever have Gatorade. That must be why now I don’t care for Gatorade. That’s horrible that you have to do it again! Is that your new trailer? Looks like a kitchen in a house!
Katie – so glad you’re doing so well
Tracey – happy birthday to Rodger. You have to tell us how you get him to the restaurant
Tina – I can’t believe when I heard that there wasn’t any water in the hydrants!!! How stupid can you get?
With how cold it is outside, I was very surprised how busy we were at the soup kitchen. I understand that last week they weren’t busy, but I didn’t go since I was having so much trouble talking. It just isn’t worth it. But I’m getting my voice back. The worst part is that I have the cough.
Heather – can you just imagine if someone was near the window? I’d be a mess especially since I had another one.
Barbie – what do you spray Annie’s straps with? Does it work on non-porous items?

I've been picking up more little shards of glass this morning. It's everywhere!
I did sleep, which amazes me.
It really sounded like a mighty bang. We were just relaxing on our sofas and had no idea what it could be.
Oufff! I must finish my tax return and then make some overtures to someone. Velux have a chatbox.
