Over which period of time? How regularly do you poop when you don't binge?

Are you replacing binge foods with fruit and veg? Any change in your diet can lead to bloating, especially if you're adding a lot of fiber. It will then settle down, but you need to give it time.

It happens 100% of the time. I think maybe it’s stress from cortisol.

I think when I don’t have the sugar and processed carbs I bloat because of stress.

If binging is how you cope with life, there's probably something to that. Cortisol can cause water retention. I'm not sure how quickly cortisol builds up and causes that reaction, though.

I'm skeptical of the cortisol causing the bloat, to be honest. Cortisol affecting weight is a thing, but I have never, ever heard of it causing notable bloating. I think you need to consider some of the other potential answers, including those put forward above, rather than putting it down to that.

I've been on corticosteroids before, and let me tell you, yes, they can definitely cause noticeable bloating. However, the likelihood of someone naturally having that high of cortisol levels is probably extremely low. And if you do, you've got way bigger problems than bloating.

Oh, absolutely - I've been on them too, and if that was the case (OP was on them) I'd be saying that for sure! But you're absolutely correct in everything else you've said - enough cortisol being naturally produced to cause constant bloating (and from dietary change which, while stressful, is lower on the scale than, say, living through a natural disaster/warzone etc) required immediate medical attention.

"Bloating" can have several meanings, and I'm not sure which one you mean. One of the possibilities is gassy bloating. When you aren't binging, have you added any foods you consider healthy, but haven't usually eaten? An allergy or sensitivity can cause bloating. Even an adaptation issue can do that for a short time.

Stress/cortisol could be a factor, but how much bloating - pounds/kg or inches/cm are we talking about, how quickly?
