    @MissMay oh man, thank you for sharing that story. You must have felt awful. But, I hope you have yourself grace because you didn’t know what you know now.

    Also goes to show that these things happen more than we realize!

    It’s ALL about the fancy glass! Makes a huge difference when having a NA drink!

    @MissMay Congratulations on your 15 week streak! I don't even think you had planned on having a streak like this?

    We're having a bit of a cold snap ourselves. My husband said that when he first got up our temperature gauge said 32°. But later it dropped to 27° and frost formed.

    You are being very sensible stocking up on supplies. We had a snowstorm in February 2019 and there was no warning. We had tons of snow and it was very wet. So it took down trees and power lines with them. We were without power for four and a half days. It was miserable.

    Fortunately, we have a gas stove and a gas BBQ on the back porch under cover. So, we were able to cook and heat water. I would also light the burners on the stove to warm up the house. But only when I was sitting just feet away. After about 15 minutes the thermostat would say "70". And I would turn them off. I would turn them on for a little bit before I went to bed. We stayed pretty comfortable. But there were no lights or TV or internet. Even our cell service went out on day 2. One thing you may want to pick up are Lightsticks. They are tubes that you break and they give off light for some time. We hung them up in our bathrooms. Because with no lights (even streetlights), it's pitch black and hard to use the bathroom at night. We also have LED lanterns. And, make sure you have batteries for lanterns or flashlights.

    My neighbor across the street didn't have gas. So, we brought her our little camp stove like you're talking about so she could at least cook some basics. One of the worst things for me was that the liquor store was closed. And, since it happened without warning, I hadn't stocked up. They finally opened a couple of days later. Some areas had their power restored more quickly than others. In town, it was restored after two days. After a couple of days we went into town to charge and use or phones. No fun!

    @MissMay I was telling my husband about you getting snow in Florida. He told me a story. Many years ago, he lived in Alaska (before I met him). A few of his friends decided to go to Florida during the winter to get away from the cold. He didn't go with them. When they returned, they said that it was colder in Florida than it was in Alaska! I guess it was just one of those years 🤔

    @surfergirl1982 First I have to say congratulations on the 6 AF days so far this month!
    Next, even bigger congrats on pouring the rest of the pint down the sink yesterday!
    Third, a big nod of agreement to everything everybody else has said yesterday and today.

    Welcome, @shpuniarsky Sounds like you're on the right path. Keep on going!

    Well. Mission AF getaway FAIL! I had wine each day. The first day, I limited pretty well. Day 2 and 3, notsomuch. Back home and back at today! I can still get more AF than A days this month.

    On the plus side, I got my workout in on Friday before we left and went for a long walk on Saturday in Biloxi. On Sunday it was freezing and the wind was blowing so I used the gym and did my weight workout and walked on the treadmill. I made pretty good choices food wise as well. So, there's that.

    I did read everyone's posts and got caught up and please know I'm empathizing with all of you struggling and cheering for all of you doing well!

    AF = 7
    A = 12

    @shpuniarsky welcome, we're always glad to have another person on board for this journey. There's a lot of support and encouragement here, just keep coming back.
    @chicbuc despite the A days, it sounds like you really did well with other healthy choices. Glad you had a good time, welcome back home.
    @itladyee you're so close to your goals, I'm sure you'll end up with great stats by the end of this month. Keep up the great work.
    @tmbg you've got some great stats for the month too, it's very inspiring.
    @SurferGirl1982 Hope you're doing well today, see ya tomorrow.

    @chicbuc I was afraid to ask you last night if you had stuck to your goals or not. But, to be honest, if I were going on vacation, I wouldn't try limiting my alcohol. I haven't been on vacation for a while. But, I definitely wouldn't be worried about having a few drinks. That's just me! You're still doing fine. You have time to accrue more AF days.

    We had to go into town today. I got a haircut, picked up my cat's prescription, and went grocery shopping. I decided to have an A day today. I will NOT go back to where I was. I'm no longer physically dependent. And, I plan on keeping it that way!

    Yesterday, I was rethinking my LA goals. I contemplated changing my goals to something like what @itladyee is doing (80-90% AF). But I think I do what to have a major streak. I'm planning on a dry February. But I would really like to go 90 days AF.

    I want my Day 1 to be February 1st. So I have a planned A day on Friday 1/31. It will be easier to count months that way. I also have a possible planned A day next Monday (after my doctor appointment).

    @SparkSpringtime69 You're doing well. You're finally even with your A and AF days. Hey! You're no longer odd :D See you tomorrow!
