I am going to circle back to the monthly questions after the shock settles that Shana passed last September. She welcomed so many of us into this group. I doubt I would have gone as far as I did without her spirit and support.

What?!?! Shana Bereznay? I didn't know this either! :'( I must have missed that.

I need to get those questions answered as well!

    Comment (01/21/25):
Revised my training program. New program begins today.

Short walk, today. The Santa Ana Winds are back. Very windy, with occasional gusts from 70-100 mph. Full-sun, but I wore a windbreaker and neck gaiter (due to wind and ash).

    69.38/125 miles completed for January

I didn't post last night, so I am posting two runs. I ran 3.25 miles yesterday. It was so cold, and it was so tough. It was 18F feels like 12F. Have I mentioned that I hate winter? It is so hard to know how to dress. I was cold the whole time, but also a little too warm at the end. But also freezing. I really wasn't sure how much I would run today. If was even colder today at 17F feels like 5F. But it was a little easier run today. I managed to run 5.5 miles. Physically, I could have gone further, but it was just too dang cold.

@swenson19d It is so good to see you back!

    Jan total 95.2/110 miles

    1/1: 5.9 miles
    1/3: 4.4 miles
    1/4: 10.4 miles
    1/6: 5.4 miles
    1/8: 4.4 miles
    1/9: 6.5 miles
    1/10: 4.4 miles
    1/11: 13.3 miles
    1/13: 6.9 miles
    1/14: 4.8 miles

    1/18: 10.5 miles
    1/20: 5.4 miles
    1/21: 4.4 miles

I waited for the sun to come out and temps to come above freezing so I could be more confident that there wouldn't be ice on the sidewalks. It was a nice run.

    Great consistency!

@rusgolden Shannon passed from Pancreatic cancer. They thought they had caught it early enough, and she fought really hard, but unfortunately it was too far along, as is usually the case with pancreatic cancer. We are all sad that she is no longer here. She was a big inspiration for us all.

I have no idea what some of that fruit is @WarmJellyfish . I lead a sheltered life. When you can't run, walking is a great alternative to keep moving. That's an "interesting" trail run. I would not have liked having to run the rest of the race with a wet lower half.

    Great treadmill running @Laurz9191 .

Welcome home @chris_in_cal . Crazy weather.

Good luck with your new plan @SwimRunRepeat .

Nice run yesterday @martaindale . I hope it wasn't too icy this morning, or if it was that you were able to stay home.

You are an inspiration to get out there and do what you can @yirara .

    Nice streaks going @rusgolden .

You did great @kgirlhart . When I do run in the cold, which is rarely, I feel like you...too cold, but sweat, and then colder. It's weird.

@AmunahSki Aww. Running with the granddaughters sounds like fun. Enjoy your ski trip. I look forward to hearing all about it.

Great running @martaindale and @SummerSkier . Hahaha about the few extra steps. There's always tomorrow.

Glad your foot is holding up @tarun_yadavA .

    Thank you!

You're doing great @kgirlhart . The first step is often the hardest.

Great pictures @WarmJellyfish . I especially liked the orange flowers and the monkey sign. I guess it's good that you didn't see any.

    Great consistency @tarun_yadavA .
