Hi, I'm Jen, 42, from CA. Just wanted to introduce myself… i started a two year wellness journey this month… really didn’t get on board until the 7th. Got in a 20 minute beginner session today.
Any words of advice? Id be happy to read anything you send my way… My starting weight 356.6. Going to do my measurements 2/1 and get my new weight then. Thanks for reading this post. 💚 Jen

Hey Jen from CA.
Hmmm..... advice?
Read the posts at the top of each section in the community, and at least skim over most of the posts. They contain a LOT of great information that is new to people doing this kind of thing. And from there, accept that it takes time. Be patient. Don't let a bad day, week, or even month derail your progress. Most of the people losing weight didn't gain it in a week, and you aren't going to lose it in a week either.
People are friendly here. Engage in the community, maybe even groups if you find a good fit. Don't be afraid to ask a question ever, or seek some support or motivation. There is a huge variety of people respresented here, with just about any fitness level you can imagine, that can help or otherwise support you. If you make it fun and stick with it, at some point you can post in the "Sucess Stories" section and be more proof that it can be done.
And no matter what your goals are, I suggest taking progress photos as you go. Pick some angles and distances so they are the same except for the shrinking you in them. For many people, the thought that they are that 350 lb person takes time to leave them. Even when you are making great progress you might see that person in the mirror, even though others more often see that great progress.
One curiosity question from me. How did you decide on a two year wellness journey? And it's just that, a curiosity.
BTW, I've lived in California three times in my life. As a child once, and as an adult twice. It's the last place we lived before heading out to the east cost.0 -
