I am June. Have tried various ways to lose a stone in weight but keep getting distracted. I tried this app a few years ago and found it quite useful. I have also tried others which I paid for and did manage to lose a stone in 5 months. I like this one not just because it is free but also because I like the layout of the website. I find it easy to use. I hope I can stay motivated this time around

I am Kimberly McFarland. I am 45 will be 46 May 2025. I had the bariatric surgery gastric sleeve on 2-2-2015. I was 300+ and the weightloss surgeon told us all in class to use MyFitnessPal to log everything and then I was just recently told to us baritastic but this one is easier than baritastic. I am just getting back from the doctor today after not being able to keep nothing in my stomach for 2 weeks but some dry cereAl and some chicken noodle soup and water. I am told today I am 148 pounds and my BMI is 24.63 which under 25 is normal for me so that's good but I have a lot of I'm health issues that came from the underlying weight I lost since I never knew I had it and some just happening but I am just wanting to tell everyone if I can do it with my issue and things you can do it and I have faith in you and I am with you all the way. Go everyone you got this. If you want to add me feel free and I have Facebook group that i give my bariatric surgery tips and tricks on there if you want it. I am Kimberly G McFarland on Facebook find me and add me I will add you to the group0

Welcome both of you to the forums!
Motivation tends to come and go, surge and disappear. Discipline helps with long-term adherence to a plan. Setting telephone reminder alarms, getting up and doing something simply because "it has to get done." Works for household chores, completing school assignments, and developing new habits for health and weight loss.0 -
Welcome June. There are many here who have tried to lose weight many times and gained it back. Just to start over again. This is my 4th attempt at weight loss and my third life on mfp. I have found that I have learned something each attempt that is going to make this final attempt successful. Add up your knowledge and make a change to your method and see how that goes. This time around I am being more active in the community. I created a group I post in every day and I come through the public forms to see if there is anyone I can offer encouragement to. This brings home to my mind that this has to be for the rest of my life.
Feel free to join my group. I'll be happy to offer support and cheer you on.
