Hi I am back again and today I step on the scale and weight the same as I did back in 97 when I was expecting!!! and yes over the years it been a struggle but seeing that number :o :#I felt so defeated and told myself I have to do something to change so here I am looking for anyone who wants to join me on this journey to support each other,share ideas etc <3:) thanks

    welcome. I'm 52 and on day 9 myself. don't feel defeated. you are empowering yourself to change. that is awesome.

    thanks for the kind words starting to feel better since it about taking that first step and today I shocked myself for it was 1146 and I somehow manage to keep jogging to reach 8000 steps lol I was 400 steps away .
    I had the watch for months and never felt like wearing it ,are you doing any exercises? how your meal planning going?I hope it is ok to ask Deb :)

    Sadly I don't exercise. I find it difficult to stand more than 10 minutes without being in tremendous pain. I did walk for exercise back in 2008 when I did my first weight loss and it was awesome. So I definitely recommend it. I have a treadmill that i was using a year ago but but I never got over 5 minutes. The place I live now is a bit small to have it. Plus if i am going to try again I would like to be under 200 pounds so maybe i can stand longer. But yesterday i did to a lot of wiggling in my chair. Eventually i will build some chair exercises into my routine but i am trying to establish one habit at a time. When I lose 10 pounds I will start stretching. Maybe another 10 pounds and come chair workout videos :)
    my meal plans are not real varied. For breakfast, I eat 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, two eggs, 1 tbsp of chia seeds with a little strawberry jello powder to cut the sourness of the cottage cheese. it keeps my carbs low and has about 28 g of protein.
    right after a grocery run I will do a salad with lettuce, spinach, cucumber, zucchini, bell pepper, onion, cheese and tuna for lunch. I use a walden's salad dressing that is 0 calories. The salad is huge and takes forever to eat.
    so dinner is usually a flavored rice, chicken, cheese and frozen mixed veggies that i eat kinda like popcorn.
    once the fresh stuff is gone I will eat the same thing for lunch and dinner. the carbs go up but still low enough to be considered low.
    I do plan on making stuffed peppers the next time I go to the grocery store. So i am looking forward to that.

    Hello I first want to say sorry for such a late reply .I was redoing my son room and I some how packed up my laptop plug and took for ever to find it ,we have a home computer but I do not like to use it for this .
    I love the salad and the best are when you load it up with healthy options my go to is taco salad
    seems I never get enough and I use tsp of sour cream and salsa as a dressing. <3

    Tomorrow I will be back to logging my food and going on to the site you gave me a link to so thanks so much for the tip. :)
    how are you doing? 5 minutes is a victory to me as Jordan Peterson will say every day you do something even small is aiming up I have 1 podcast of his that been a life saver for me back in Dec 2023 that I watched that 1 video 6 times ...by know I can give the speech lol every heard of him?besides weight I am dealing with many other personal struggles ,that being aid always Congratulate yourself on your everyday victories you are doing amazing ... :)

    I wish I can say I lost some weight but that be a lie and I am even higher then I wrote in Jan :# ...I think I am going the wrong way on the scale ,haha I do not mean to sound I do not care ,,,for I really do but it my sense of humor and I take each number as a lesson as what am I doing to myself

    No worries. Life happens. Not letting 'setbacks' get you frustrated so that you quit is a win. There are a number of reasons that a person's weight can go up even if they are eating at a calorie deficiency. I ended up 1.4 pounds up yesterday over the week before. I know I didn't eat enough calories through the week to gain 1.4 pounds. So if you are weighing everyday your progress will look like the stock market. You just want to be trending down in the bigger picture.

    Hi there at the moment my oldest dog is 15 and age is catching up to her so many nights of being up every 2 hours she not in pain , but it is an I need to go pee and then oops I do not need to go and last night I get her settle and my youngest is sick and being up I will snack but I had stopped that with extra stock up n my herbal teas and some new ones so if I feel like eating this out of being tired I have this instead...I agree frustration never solves anything my weight gain did not surprised me or had me angry I am doing this daily 6 things to check off and just focusing on each day

    I was reading some post and was wondering do I log in pasta uncooked?or cooked?
    I am having greens pasta for dinner was going to measure 1/2 cup after I cook it but then log in is that correct? thanks

    I keep zero sugar jolly ranchers on my desk so when I get bored or my mouth needs something I will pop one in and let it dissolve. I just allow for those calories in my over all plan. You can probably do something similar for when you wake up at night.

    I think most foods are logged raw because that is what is on the package. I know it's rare to just cook one serving of pasta. But you can try it once so you can see what the weight/volume of the serving once it is cooked.

    thanks I wish in Canada we get sara lee bread and english muffins that are low cal at the moment I just measure after I cook my food so far following my top 6 is going very I actually like those candies myself and the one herbal tea that I am enjoying is peach n ginger my husband aunt bought me it when she came down for my MIL passing year 1/2 ,love the tea lol
