I lost a bit of weight by changing my habits eating at restaurants. I only eat out if I am with others and typically order one entrΓ©e/no sides or soup and salad
*2025 I will not eat anywhere with a drive thru window!
*I quit drinking cream/sugar after 2 cups of coffee..most days and cut down on wine/beer and buying cake, cupcakes
*Also, I have a meal plan with vegetarian meals at least 5 days per week. I have my meals logged in advance every week, usually around 1500 calories per day. (I'm short 5'2). I try to stick to the plan, but not counting calories anymore.

02/03-194.2-(Trend Weight: 192.5)- What a tremendous jump in just 2 days! 2.4 lbs!!! I know a bit of this is from not taking my Lasix yesterday for my heart condition. However, I also know that Iβve been struggling with the night time snacks. My meals have been good and the food has been clean. But I have been eating too much/many of my βapprovedβ snacks. Iβve tried heavier dinners. Iβve tried later dinners. Iβve tried water tricks and more. Much of it is simply cravings. Iβm working on it and hope to get it resolved soon. Iβve got to STOP this gaining in itβs tracks!

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost almost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hope you don't mind I hop on this thread for this part of my journey. I have been a member of a daily accountability group that really helped me, but would love to transition into a weekly one. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I'll weigh in on Wednesday, we'll see how that goes!

I lost a bit of weight by changing my habits eating at restaurants. I only eat out if I am with others and typically order one entrΓ©e/no sides or soup and salad
*2025 I will not eat anywhere with a drive thru window!
*I quit drinking cream/sugar after 2 cups of coffee..most days and cut down on wine/beer and buying cake, cupcakes
*Also, I have a meal plan with vegetarian meals at least 5 days per week. I have my meals logged in advance every week, usually around 1500 calories per day. (I'm short 5'2). I try to stick to the plan, but not counting calories anymore.

02/03-194.2-(Trend Weight: 192.5)- What a tremendous jump in just 2 days! 2.4 lbs!!! I know a bit of this is from not taking my Lasix yesterday for my heart condition. However, I also know that Iβve been struggling with the night time snacks. My meals have been good and the food has been clean. But I have been eating too much/many of my βapprovedβ snacks. Iβve tried heavier dinners. Iβve tried later dinners. Iβve tried water tricks and more. Much of it is simply cravings. Iβm working on it and hope to get it resolved soon. Iβve got to STOP this gaining in itβs tracks!
02/10-195.8-(Trend Weight: 193.7)-What a horrible week itβs been on my never-ending quest for good health. It was an especially hectic day yesterday. I didnβt plan meals properly and they were awkwardly spaced and a bit topsy-turvy. Overboard on snacks again too. Super Bowl / Puppy Bowl mentality. Today is another day, another attempt. Fingers crossed. My birthday is May 10th and I decided this morning that my first mini-goal is to lose a full 10 pounds between now and then. That would put me firmly in the 180βs and on much better footing health-wise. I would still be 30 to 40 pounds away from my ultimate goal, but those numbers sound so much more do-able. Am I reaching for the stars? I dunno, but stretching is good for you, right?
