Was suppose to be a cat, but looks like a dog, but.....most importantly, my DH actually surprised me with it.
These sweet things bring so much joy and frustration! Today we came home from work to the TV on, hand towels down in bathroom, and Tiolet paper ripped up down the hallway! TP is expensive, yet 1/2 a roll was used to make confetti! They are 10 mths old now. They chased two squirrels up a tree this afternoon in the rain. It was fun watching them figure out hunting skills. Right now Tori keeps trying to put her mouse toy in my water glass!
Past couple of days have been rough. Sister in law has been pretty much MIA at work since Monday morning. Trying to stay aware of D (son in law) and the goings on in the back of the shop. He told me today that he just told R(small dog), that he had a choice...They could work well together, or it could be h3ll working together, his choice. I will say that having D is pushing R to not screw around as much! So they are catching up quickly in the back. This means I am working more as well. I had planned on doing invoices Wednesday night. Instead I removed door panels and front seats from our 2008 Shelby GT to take to upholstery shop. I am excited to get those taken care of. Needless to say, no work paperwork got done. Thursday, was bloodwork followed by upholstery shop, then back to work. I took DH to dinner Thursday night for Valentine's (I wanted fish). I then worked 2 hours on paperwork. Yesterday was just hard. I was trying to work at work, Sister in law started a project, but then couldn't do it without me. Imagine that. What should have taken me 30 mins, took me two hours after their hour. SMH! Just like that for the day. Today was better, she stayed out of my way! I got things done. Still have stuffs to do tomorrow, but am using today to catch up with you!
Bread Okay...USA ladies...how is it that one week you buy bread and it can sit in the cabinet for 2 months and still be soft and not moldy, but then the next time you buy bread it is moldy after 4 days? I like PB&J on soft whole wheat bread. I like tomato/cheese sandwiches on soft wheat bread. My DH would rather have white bread but I won't buy it, so puts up with soft wheat bread, but I feel I have thrown more out then we have eaten lately. Yesterday, I had planned on having PB&J sandwich to compliment my homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch on what was already a hard day. Imagine my surprise when I pulled out green moldy stuff from a 5 day old loaf. I found two good pieces and started to make my sandwich. Got busy at counter because others couldn't handle it. Went back to make sandwich and DH had gotten impatient to unpack parts boxes and squashed my bread. I really was done yesterday. I have no idea what I ate after that as I was just hungry. I didn't even try to log. Tonight I went to pull out some Naan bread to have for supper and it too was moldy- ugh.
Positives....I have gotten 30 mins of walking 5 out of 6 days this week. My active zone is 22 minutes per day. I have met/exceeded that 4 out of 6 days. I have averaged 31 zone minutes a day since Monday. My steps are averaged out to 9871. I have hit protein every day except yesterday (may have but didn't track. I am still nicotine free! I have to the tools, just have to do the work to get my jeans back to fitting better. Too many dinners out this week and not enough water meant I wore leggings to work today. I just couldn't do it!
Time to catch up with all of you!
Posting this first though!
Lots of Love,
Kylia in Ohio with the crazy weather of everywhere else
I am pretty particular about bread and keep mine in the fridge. Then if I haven't used it for maybe 4 days it goes in the freezer, and I take out what I need and defrost it in the toaster. Most often my bread is toasted anyways. If I do want to make a sandwich in roasted its usually just the first couple days of buying my loaf. We buy an artisan loaf that's half of a large circle loaf.. Its hearty oak and grain so I have to really keep an eye on it!
You are such a competent worker, with processing paperwork, receipts, invoices, its a lot and you do it well! Especially with all the chaos you have to deal with, with the people in the office and back area. Never under estimate your skills friend!
Then tackle on the nicotine free, your protein consumption goals??? You are a SuperWoman!
Hopefully you take moments to appreciate your awesome self!

Yesterday's walk ...
Today's walk ...
I did no work this weekend!
Instead, I organised the ornaments in a couple of my display cabinets, rearranged a few things in the kitchen, built 2 decorative bamboo ladders, and started going through a blanket box full of bedding, about half of which we don't use anymore.
What would you do with old (but not ruined) fitted king size sheets? It is highly unlikely we'll ever put the beds together to create a king size bed again. Or how about old pillow cases?
I also did a lot of reading and colouring.
Machka in Oz
I have a couple of sheets, (they're just white) and I use them for when I want to throw together a yard sale and just lay out and put stuff on it out in the yard. You could cut the fitted part off and save if you ever need to paint some thing you have a drop cloth to put it on. Or maybe with the fitted parts you could cover something in the garage?

This morning I could not think of the word for the musical instrument my BFF and Lawrence Welk played with such enthusiasm. Kept coming up with “harmonica” “ukuklele” “concertina” “squeezebox” but knew none of them were right. Finally had to think about something else for the word “accordion” to bubble up. Must be a broken synapse there somewhere. :{ Time to take Lanette’s cognitive function test!
Heather, what is “gold meat”? From this morning’s CS Lewis quotation “The child enjoys his gold meat (otherwise dull to him) by pretending it is buffalo, just killed with his own bow and arrow.”

Machka every time I read your story and get to the phrase “He will never fully recover” my throat catches and I grieve for you. ((virtual introvert-acceptable hugs))
Terri when I read “praline mouse hearts” my stomach flip flopped
Margaret our tree has been down since Epiphany but Joe leaves the Christmas lights outlining the garage door on for me until full spring at least
Lanette under withheld, over stated income, Ugh! Which model Canon? Do you have the option of connecting by cable instead of wireless?
Betsy thanks for the update on your sister, thankful for her quality of life and successful treatment but REALLY thankful for your changes, happy in your skin, more social, and comfortable wearing what YOU want.
Rebecca pinwheel cookies are one of my favorites, so much so that we only buy them for special occasions.
Kylia after having to throw away more than half a loaf of my favorite sourdough, I’ve started freezing portions of bread, wrapped in foil for reheating, then in freezer bags. Bread, ah. This winter I’ve really gone overboard bread wise, English muffins, bagels, whole wheat peanut butter toast, in addition to the afore mentioned sourdough. Time to rein it back and shift to whole grains, beans and legumes. Like Rita’s smart bmi said, being nicotine-free and carrying a bit of extra weight is way healthier than lean by way of nicotine. Well done!
Barbie, which album of Irish music?
Lanette the seed-starting trays are on a heat mat under a grow light in the garage. It will be interesting to see if anything comes up, most of the seeds were from 2019 and before
Blustery so didn't make it to church this morning. Encoder crapped out so no online church.

Tracey- It has been very nice.I do have to leave the house twice a day to go over and take care of MIL's dog. It is getting old, can't wait until dh is ready to admit his mom isn't going back to her home and then son can move in over there so he can take care of the dog. It does get me out walking more which is good. Walked him half an hour this morning.
Kylia- It is so nice to just have the house to myself and get things done that I have been putting off.
Machka- can you post a picture of they way your pictures are displayed?
Mom wants to rehang pictures but not sure she wants the holes in the walls.
Lisa- my friend from Zumba goes to Joannes a LOT- he is an avid quilter(in at least one guild)
We looked at the list and every one around here are closing- there are at least 5-6 that I know of within an hour of here and every single one is closing.
I didn't start on the pictures after dinner as planned- I sat with a cat and watched tv instead.
This morning, after a restless night, I slept longer than planned so didn't have time to do the cat and dog chores early enough so missed church.
I could have made it if I skipped the dog but didn't want to leave him in the house so long. He is such a good dog, no accidents but having him in the house from 4:30PM til 12:30PM is too much, even for a good dog. I will watch church on line later. I didn't even take time to have my tea until now.
Will finish my tea and catch up here then get started on the chores. LOVING the quiet. only hear cats playing and the key strokes of my key board. PERFECT

This wasn't a special occasion, but I had seen a photo of a chocolate covered Oreo and so it was on my mental list to buy at the commissary.😂💖. I looked at the box of fudge covered Oreos and they didn't do it for me, but the container of Pinwheels did.😁
My favorite snack is my hearty grain bread, butter, peanut butter, and honey. Its a whole sweet feast actually. One of those snacks that are all warm and you don't even realize you have warm honey running down your finger.😂
It was snowing last Wednesday night and there was some on the roads Thursday as we went to the commissary, but it was really dry and melted by mid day. Then snow on the roads on Friday but gone by mid day as well. Its upper 30/ low 40's so no snow now. Our poor heating bill is $100 more! It was $300 this month. Next month should be even worse as the furnace has kicked on a lot these last couple of days.

Thank you all for your encouragement! I loved that Rita's BMI stated better to be nicotine free and a little heavier then lean because of it. I can do this. I have noticed more time in between filling and charging vape, so that means I am reaching for it less. One thing at a time!
Rebecca OMG! I love a good bread with real butter and honey heated!!!! Yummy!!!! If I had read that before I had my almond cookie, I would have had that for a snack!
I have gotten shower, shoveled sidewalk between garages (because you know the man in the boot won't stay put!), salted that area, emptied one basket bin of 2025 tax stuffs into excel spread sheets, thawed chicken for supper. I am guessing grilled chicken with some kind of seasoning, baked sweet potatoes, and steamed broccoli. That sounds yummy! Do need to find my Minestrone soup recipe. DH won't eat it, but daughter might. It will freeze. I think I will make a Beer bread to go with it. Then I should do some work work.
Stay safe and warm like my babies

My current favourite snack is a thin slice of Dave's Killer Bread toasted with cream cheese and two sliced green olives.
My favourite Irish singers are the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. I had their record when I was in college in the 1960's.
When my mother died and we moved into her house we spent a long time clearing and discarding and keeping her stuff. Even so I had recurring dreams of her being in the house with me and commenting on what I'd done with her things. Everything of Jake's that I discard makes me reflect on what he would think of what I'm doing. It's no wonder that I can't get more than a little done each day
I made a variation of the turkey meatloaf reipe someone shared. It smells great.

To paraphrase Lisa, Holy "crap on a cracker"! We are a chatty group! I finally hopped onto MFP this morning and have been reading to catch up throughout the day (between housework/cooking).
Thank you Barbie for bringing us into a new (well it was a couple of weeks ago) month!
Welcome new ladies! (Cindy and Rebecca, I believe?) This is a great group of wise and soulful women. Many of us feel we are a "tribe". We share, listen, advise, laugh and enjoy eachothers company! So important to have good mental/spiritual health as well as physical health!
Allie- Miles and baby girl are so sweet! Teething is so hard; especially if she doesn't have brother or anyone else to distract her. I think that is something that helps my little teethers make it through the painful days. They have many friends, here, that keep them busy and not thinking about tooth pain. Remember to take care of yourself and speak up when you need time to do that! You are important!
Heather- It warms my heart to read your posts and see you and Johnny doing all of the things that you have enjoyed. Spending time with the grands, French circle, Duolingo, painting, writing, football matches, etc. Happy to hear that your recovery is progressing and you are able to do more! I bet that feels great!
Katie- Glad your daughter is okay! Those multi car pile ups are so scary! I took the Clutterbug test and have decided I am a Katiebug! lol REally! Actually it put me at Butterfly, which I suspected is where I would be. However, if you were to walk through my house, some rooms are spotless and tidy and some are clean, but have piles of stuff that sit out. I find my "work" areas are well organized, but my bedroom I will have a pile of laundry that needs to be put away, and/or a bin or two of toys and activities that we are either going to be doing this week or we did last week and they need to be put away. I would put me at a Butterfly with Cricket leanings. I think once I am not doing childcare; things will always be in their place. Well, I will have more time to put them there, as well. lol
Rebecca Love the pics of Athena and Eli! I can't believe baby Eli is that big already! And that quilt and pillow from your sis! Wow! So talented!
Valentines Day- I sent a valentines package to my grands. They were pleased to get it and I got a nice video call from them that night. I sent each of my kids photos that I found of me and them, when they were very small. Oddly, didn't hear from my daughter (she is probably busy with all of her boys and the move), but I heard from both of my boys. My DOS was especially touched because he is not mine by birth. Love for him and from him was hard fought and hard won. I sent the pics to him and he replied right away with a phone call and he was quite choked up. His relationship with him birth mom is not/has not been good (mainly her doing). So, he confessed that he always felt like I was more of a mom to him, but felt bad for thinking it when he was young. He said he was very proud to have me as a mom. Made my day. Then I heard from DYS, who moved to Idaho for work a few weeks back. He texted me, "Thanks for the pics! I am not dead in a ditch, I am out with friends. Talk to you tomorrow."
Last week, I placed an order for 12 new pair of panties. 6 were the seamless bikini and 6 were called "cheekys" (so, yeah...those were kind of with DH in mind). Anyway, they arrived this week and I have been giggling at DH, aka The Lurker, as he would sneak a peek as I would be getting dressed in the morning or undressed at night. lol So predictable.
Anyway...life is still moving forward. I have a steady 12 children in my home each day. DH is a big help, especially with the babies. It is nice to be able to hand him a baby and the bottles and let him do that. I love them, but feeding babies and rocking babies is my least favorite part of my job. I enjoy the action. I like taking the kids outside, doing activities, and science with them, etc. It keeps me busy and gets the bills paid.
I have decided to weigh myself once a month. I got on the scale this morning and found in the 5 weeks since I weighed myself last, I haven't lost a pound. I was more than a little disappointed as I haven't been drinking wine, I haven't been eating out and have been making pretty good meal choices. So, I grabbed my tape measure and took my measurements again. There it was! I lost two inches around my bust, waist, thighs, and upper arms. I lost three inches around my hips. I'll take that! NOW...my next step is adding some yoga/stretching to my walking regime.
We can do this!
So good to read about everyone and everything! I can hear your voices and think about you all so often! (waving at Rita, Kylia, Barbara, Beth, Betsy, Michele, Machka, Tracey, Margaret, Pip, MEG!!!)

Lanette - I don't think it's decided. The wife will just be a sleeping partner, inheriting his share of the business. The business partner, Paul, will be running the business, with my son's help. Another big company has shares in it as well.
There is another multi national company that he was part of which may have to be sold back to the parent company. If they do so, my son may get something from that as he has a few shares in it.
It's all very complicated and a LOT of work.
My son is hosting a dinner tomorrow for James's friends. My DDIL is at a wedding. So we are holding the fort until 9 ish. I will have to think about food. Bea always has pesto-pasta.
I'm having my hair trimmed at 2pm.John will have to stay in for the cleaner's arrival and go out later for his normal walk before we pick.up the girls from art club.
Hope I sleep tonight! My brain tends to go into overdrive when I have things to organise.

Taking a little break. Dishes done, a load of laundry going and the big project for the weekend(well, one of the biggest ones)is done. All the pictures are back up. Didn't realize just how many we had up on that wall. NIce to have them back up instead of in a box or in a pile in the living room. Now I can declutter that side where they were stacked up.
Dh is doing pretty good at the show. He sold his largest pieces. One he cut the price in half but at least we don't have to haul it around any more- it was heavy-Godzilla with lights and sound on a heavy base
I will work on the living room a bit later. Have an hour and a half before heading over to take care of the dog. May take care of him a bit early so I can get the cats here taken care of then relax for the evening. DH won't be home until at least 8, 9 if they stop for dinner.

Spent today doing research on all sorts of things thyroid.Bloodwork shows tumor marker went up another 8 points. Have neck and lung ct tomorrow to see if anything detectable changes or new things. See doctor the following Monday. Going to ask him at what point intervention will happen. There are some of the TKI (tyrosine kinase inhibitors) that are having positive outcomes on my type of cancer (used to be call Hurtle cell, now called Oncocyitic). When diagnosed nearly 29 years ago surgery was the only treatment. Traditional chemotherapy drugs are not effective. I like to check on new possible treatments before my visit. The drugs are very expensive. I think with my current insurance it would cost me 1,000 for 90 days. Regular cost is 26,000. We really do need to do something about prescription costs, but I don't know what
Started shoveling driveway-wasn't feeling the love. Got it partially done, whined to my kids. My usual guy can't make it until tomorrow-I need to leave early for Columbus for appointment. Kids got on phone with friend, he knew someone, man came over and got my sidewalks and whole driveway done-$30.
Had good visit with brothers and family yesterday. Middle brother (with Alzheimer's) seemed to enjoy the day. He slept on couch off and on and would suddenly jump into conversation.
Need to go check on laundry. Didn't get done nearly what I planned, Cousin from Florida that I recently connected with called and we chatted for an hour,
Take care all,

Let me know how you like the turkey meatloaf and what you modified.

It will be 17 years on 3/1/25 since she passed.

Congratulations on your inches lost 🙌🏻
I’ve been quiet the past few days as hubby and I have been quite busy.
Friday we worked then celebrated Valentine’s Day with a nice dinner at home. Steak, shrimp, baked potato and Cesar salad.
Yesterday we went to my dad’s, who will be 87 in a week, to help him with yard work and housework as one of my siblings and family will be in town this coming week for a visit. Today hubby and I replaced a fence panel from Hurricane Milton last November. I also mowed the backyard. The rest of the day we have been resting.
I logged pretty consistently most of this week. The past two days I just logged my food in food notes. I have not chosen to weigh.
Have a great week y’all!

Did a pilates DVD today. We’’ be leaving shortly to go to Datona. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Pure Burn DVD
Supposed to be windy today and then rainy. Then again, this is FL so the weather can change
Betsy – happy for your sister
I am constantly amazed how well everyone’s doing on the loss of a spouse. You all have my utmost respect
Tracey – I’ll be looking forward to seeing your car that has the inserts. I have the summer insert, just haven’t done it yet. I’ll be looking for ideas for colors
Rebecca – I found these quilting blocks among MIL’s things. Not sure who made them, they were all hand sewn. Anyway, I wanted to have them made into a quilt. Do you know that two quilts cost almost $1,000. I almost fell over, but what could I do. Also, it took her over a year to do it.
Kylia – what lovely flowers. Kitties are so cute. I have to keep my ww bread in the freezer because I’m the only one who eats it (except for Jess and Colby). I keep ½ a loaf of rye bread in the freezer for vince. Same as you, I’m at a good BMI but the middle!!!
Walked 13,000 steps yesterday. Today after pilates I took a walk around the mall across the street just to see what new stores there are/aren’t for an hour. Great you’re still nicotine free. Ever since I turned 65, it seems no matter what I do (decent eating, exercising) I can’t seem to lose this muffin top. Walked 11,000 steps
Flea – your dinner looks awesome. Unfortunately, Vince would never eat it
M – I would donate the old sheets
Lisa – how I miss AC Moore (bought out by Michael’s). they had so much more than Michael’s has, plus their prices and quality were better. How do you get 30% off at HL?
Ginny – best of luck tomorrow
Well, we went up to Daytona. We waited in line for 2 HOURS to go thru security. We were there in 2020 when Trump came and the wait wasn’t as long. For one thing, this was a sellout. Also, they took each and every water bottle that I had out of my bag. A lot of people (almost everyone) brings cans and cans of beer so I’m guessing they took each can of beer out of the cooler. One lady had a clear bag yet they took everything out of the bag. We missed Trump’s plane coming in, the flyover, the national anthem, the start of the race, Trump leaving. Right as we got to the security, it started to rain. When we got into the stands, a strong front came thru and the temp dropped over 20 degrees. So it was cold, rainy, we couldn’t get to our seats. Vince decided to leave and is watching the race on the TV right now. Looks like they will get the race in. We finally sat down next to a trash can and I had to have something to eat so I had the ½ sandwich I had. Found out the secret service crushed both of my rice rolls. I never thought of them but, fortunately, they were in a bag. The SS took each of my packets of mustard out but I was surprised that they didn’t confiscate the small scissors I have to open the packets. I never thought of them until after we went thru security
Normally, they have a tram to take you to the tower you need to be in. Today they could only go so far, the lines of people waiting to go thru security were so long that they were blocking where the tram would go so we had to walk part of the way.

@garden875 I left out the onion. Only had one onion that I needed for something later in the week and didn't add any spices. It was delicious. I divided it into five slices because I make 5 turkey burgers out of one pound of ground turkey so that would be a proper portion for me.
Kelly, glad to see you again and hear about all your adventures.

Lisa – how I miss AC Moore (bought out by Michael’s). they had so much more than Michael’s has, plus their prices and quality were better. How do you get 30% off at HL?
Michele - You just go there. Hobby Lobby always swaps weeks. This week is 30% off yarn and 40% off crafting stuff. Next week it's 30 or 40% off fabric and 40% off art stuff. Regular as clockwork. No coupons, no app needed. Check Weekly Ad posted on their website.4 -
I will miss Joann's terribly, I went the first day I heard has I had a gift card to use up before it will not be honored. there are a few quilt stores within 20 miles (close) that carry a good selection of 100% cotton or a cotton blend. Our walmart usually as 4-8 bolts of holiday fabric and that is it. But it will be a 50-60 mile drive to a very nice very expensive store in San Francisco that has a full selection or a 100 mile drive into Sacramento for a reasonable priced full offering store - I often want denim, or twill or I was looking at some beautiful wool for a shirt the other day.... now I will have to commit a full day of driving.
I can not remember a time when there were not 8-10 folks in line to get checked out in our local Joann's
There is not even a local store that carries needles for my Bernina sewing machine. I bought every package they had when I was there.

Kylia - cute flowers.
Our bread is the same here. I don’t understand it and it doesn’t seem to be based on temperature.
I will say that the commercial type bread lasts longer than the bakery bread. I assume it’s preservatives.
I store my tortilla shells in the cupboard too.
Machka - I love the ladder idea for pictures. I don’t have room here for it, but if I ever do again.
I would donate the sheets, we have a local FB group that I have started using. It’s called our “city name” Freebies. I post things on there and people come get it. There is also a very good thrift shop handy. I load things in my car until such time that I drop it off.
Lisa - I find that a lot of businesses here are closing too and the vultures are circling. I’m sad about the latest three here closing, as I did use them.
I think the brick and mortar stores can’t keep up with the online prices and the landlords have gotten greedy.
One store here had just completed a renovation inside and the landlord raised their right by more than half, so they closed. They had decent prices, were Canadian and frequented by seniors and lower income people. It was sad. The other two were also Canadian businesses.
Rita - love the meme.
Barbara - I saved the meme with the introvert kittens to share with my daughter.
Debbie - hopefully DH admits to himself soon that his mom is not coming back home. How’s she doing in there? Is he finding any peace yet?
Rebecca - our utilities are going crazy high too. I’m also dreading this months because it’s been so cold.
Ginny - I hope you’re able to get some answers. Prescriptions are incredibly high here too.
We pay for a young boy to shovel our driveway. I can’t do it without being in pain and when we started Rodger shovelled for work so it didn’t seem fair to do it at home too. This year we didn’t know how to tell the young boy we didn’t need him.
Michele - I was surprised when I got home this evening that the race wasn’t over. Rodger told me it had rained a couple of times, I thought of you.
I’ll share a picture of the truck when I can get it done.
I went to Raquel’s today to see her new house, they moved in August but I hadn’t had a chance to see it yet. Kaitlyn was also there so she cut my hair for me.
Their house is nice, there is a barn, a garage and some chicken coops. It has all the fencing if they want to get animals. I’m sure they will at some point.
They do have a new puppy, her name is Matilda.
Aspen of course gave me some snuggles. She was busy working out and practicing her gymnastics.
She is going to be a handful for sure. They have a door alarm on her bedroom door because she kept trying to sneak out of her room and get into things. The last straw before getting the alarm was she had snuck into her parents room while her mother was sleeping and shut off the baby monitor, she then went to the kitchen and made an awful mess. They didn’t trust her not to attempt to go outside or do anything dangerous.
She opened the door the first time the alarm was activated and it scared her and now she won’t open the door, so I guess it did its job. 😂
Tomorrow I need to do some laundry and I think I’m going to scrapbook.
I’m glad it’s a long weekend.

Tracey - Up to take a pill and then go right back to bed, but had to say, "Wow," for Miss Aspen. She's a corker, that one. And the pug is just too dang cute for words.
Kylia - I'm sure the kittens are good for your blood pressure, and still quite a handful! We learned after we started letting Egg roam that a kitty door was necessary. She has quite specific ideas about when she wants in and out, and my schedule is of no moment to Miss Thang. 🐈⬛😂🐈⬛ Might have been just her age, too, but she also became quite vocal after she was able to go outside. She was a few years old already, but matured even more after that. She will be 8 years old in May. My constant companion in the winter days, but outside more in the other three seasons, unless it's raining.
Cindy in FL - Sounds like a terrific Valentine's Day, and well done for staying off the scale for a few days! Making it a measurement instead of the manager of our mood for every single day is a great step. You'll do well.
KJ - Always good to see you pop in, will go back and read your whole post tomorrow, when I'm more awake. Love it when you have time to write.
Ah - pretty sure that was a yawn! Back to bed says sleepyhead,

Hanging pictures using a ladder ...
This is the first ladder I put up, and I've just hung a few pictures from it. Underneath, I've got 2 yoga blocks to boost the height.
The largest picture is Grandaughter 1's footprints when she learned to walk.
I have a second ladder up against the wall, but have only hung a sample "picture" up ... OK, a box of tea towels.I just wanted to see what it looked like.

@LisaInArkansas thank you very much for the encouragement! The other day you said something about followers, do you have a YouTube channel?
@Machka9 cute idea with the wall ladders! Love the encouraging sayings!

Good morning ladies!
Barbara - thank you for your info regarding your seed starting. Let us know if anything pops up. My setup is similar to yours and I need to get the shelf in the garage cleaned off one of these days. I generally have better luck than I expect using older tomato seeds. I have older lettuce seeds in my stash, so I'll try them.
And no, my printer/scanner/copier isn't cabled. Next one I get will be, I didn't know they still made them - I see there are some available. They aren't inexpensive but the Wi-Fi only hasn't been that reliable for me.
Kelly - great job losing those inches! That's why I'm often tempted to just toss out the scale. Some days when I'm feeling trim, my pants loose and comfortable then I step on the dang scale and I'm up three pounds. And that's another reason I like the SmartBMICalculator. Takes a thoughtful approach to our overall health, not just some number. Dr. Lisa has seen my weight vary 30 lbs over these many years and has never brought it up. Interesting though, most of her nurses and office staff are in the overweight to quite obese category.
This is like the scale I use, by the way. (I stole the photo off Ebay.) Healthometer Doctor's scale.Probably 30-40 years old and still pretty accurate. Is within half a pound of my weight at the doc's office.
Kylia - I'm starting to think if I ever get a kitty again, I'll get siblings. I just love seeing your girls cuddled up together. Good job on the snow removal by the way. Looks like the freezer door is wide open for you and most of you east of the Rockies.
Tracey - that Aspen is a wild child! Love that snuggly puppy.
Michele - I saw a minute of the Daytona 500 when the President's plane flew over. What a huge crowd - I couldn't imagine the number of secret service/security people they had to have there to check out everyone who entered into that arena.Did you get that toilet fixed/replaced?
Annie - thinking of you!
Ginny - I can't remember - did you originally have surgery on your thyroid years ago? The price of that prescription is a stunner and thank goodness for insurance. It will be interesting seeing what your doc has to say.
Rebecca - glad to see Athena and Eli doing better and playing in the snow.
Debbie - is there any chance at all that MIL will ever go back home? It doesn't sound like it and hopefully your DH will come to that realization. Glad sales were good for him. AND that you got in some quiet time.
Does anyone remember Jacques Pepin and Lidia Bastianich the TV Chefs that were on PBS - and maybe still are? I found them on Facebook and they give short cooking demos which are great source for recipe ideas for me. Simple, inexpensive dishes. Pepin just celebrated his 90th birthday. Thanks to that good French cooking. And Lidia's mom just turned 100 and looks around 80.
OK better get this posted before the day gets away from me. T coming over this morning and I have the diabetes prevention Zoom class this afternoon.
Make it a super week.

I am one of the online only shoppers who don't go into Michael's or JoAnn's. Two reasons---my craft requires yarn in specific colors and in large quantities and I could find neither in my local stores---and the pandemic got me accustomed to the convenience of shopping online.
Fire in the woodstove, pleasant music on You Tube, and dogs asleep under the table. Drizzle outside.
