Lanette I just bought a new Lazer printer to print off what I needed for taxes. I wanted to do it from my laptop that has more security. My old desk top has a printer but it takes forever to make prints off of it and because of its age I don't feel it is as secure as my lap top. Like you I use a cable. The printer did not come with a cable I had to pay about 10 dollars for it. I bought a Lazer because I don't print very often and the catriages don't dry out like ink jet printers. I don't do any color printing. It is nice to easily print from it. You just plug it into the laptop and then the printer and good to go. It is WiFi compatible but it was too complicated to make it work. I like the cable idea better anyway for the reason you gave...more secure. If you do decide you want WiFi make sure it is one that is compatible with your computer. I like Chromebook and not all Wifi printers work well with it but the cable to computer will work with most computers.

Kelly WOW Lots of inches pared away. Well done!!!
Ginny prayer said for favorable scans and positive outcome intervention if needed. Well done for doing your research homework and being your own advocate. ((hugs))
Tracey wow that Aspen, what a little firecracker! Sweet pic of you snuggling the new pup.
Lanette, might there be a little USB port on your printer? Maybe all you need is the cable? Way cheaper than investing in a new printer! Since I’m so paranoid (no financial/banking/information done on any wireless device) my printer is cable connected to my laptop, whose wifi radio has been turned off forever ;} Jacques Pepin and Lidia Bastianach were lovely! So down to earth and flavorful.

Lisa one of the gals at church recommends this https://a.co/d/j6I5fab as having made her skin “silky.” Me, I’d be inclined to seek something where the bovine source was organic/grass fed… Back in the day, used to dring Knox unflavored gelatin, but never noticed and improvement in my nails. :{ I LOVE “learning to knit” and Kels for sending it to you.
Beth, “…completed day 3” well done!
Rita thank you for the daily giggles. Sharing them occasionally with a line dance buddy who, despite being healthy, lean, active and vegan, recently suffered a stroke. I blame it on the surgery to repair torn knee stuff.
Debbie glad to hear your DH is not so easily irritated lately. So sorry to learn it was a short-lived respite.((hugs)).
Rebecca I made biscuits and gravy Saturday for us (not a frequent event!) from my favorite Southeastern Mills Country Buttermilk Biscuit mix (plus ½ C milk) and Country gravy mix (plus 1-3/4 C water). Only had the peppered gravy mix, far prefer the sausage flavor. Just as well, means I didn’t eat as much . . . I don’t even knead them, just stir enough so no milk remains and put ice cream scoopfuls on parchment paper to bake. Rats! Now I’m getting hungry for them again! Great gratitude. I am so with you about bugs. Eeek!
    Cindy impressive pineapples! The one I have growing in my office has never fruited, guess it’s just not warm enough in here. ;{
Kylia I am so sorry for your frustration. One of the side effects of eliminating nicotine is that it frees up oxygen in your bloodstream so your body can “get more” out of the food you eat, so even if intake and outgo are constant, excess storage goes up. You will conquer this but it will take time.
Barbie “procrasticlutter” I like it! You are wise not to give into the “get rid of everything” impulse. Hard as it would be, best to wait a year before any big changes. (((hugs held extra extra extra long)))
Terri Ah “mousse” that sounds much more appealing. Doggoned autofill… :naughty:
    Rori, wow! Be safe!
Mo ((hugs)) Sleep in your current case is crucial. You can work out another day but you can’t make up for missed sleep. ((hugs))
Machka not a very restful day off from work . . .
    Carla ((hugs)) and hankies.
Heather your pic makes me smile.
Margaret what you said about gaslighters and how best to respond.
Michele thanks for the HB eggs reminder, meant to prep some for deviled eggs, time to get up and do that NOW

Its been years since I had biscuits and gravy. I used to make a mean pan full of sausage gravy! I have a Knorr packet of Hollandaise sauce mix. One day I shall make that with crusty toasted hearty grains bread, bacon, and creamy Sunnyside up eggs. Love eggs benedict.💖

Waiting for Max. He is late. I wonder if he has forgotten!
I texted him and he said he had lost track of time. :/
Tried twice to ring the dentist. My tooth where the filling has fallen out is now aching. For 15 mins they said I was 3rd in the queue. I abandoned it. I will call in in person after lunch. If I catch the right bus it is very near.

Lunch was its usual heavenliness! :p Massive fish and chips, with mushy peas. Max thoroughly enjoyed his and we found enough 'boy geek' things to talk about. John and I shared an afagato for dessert. I could barely walk up the hill to M&S afterwards! :o
John and Max walked back nearly to his house, but Max had forgotten his key, so, when I got back home, I found him, forlorn, on my doorstep. He must be a very fast walker as John arrived ten minutes later! He borrowed our key and dashed off.
In M&S I bought a Chinese crispy duck.It has all the pancakes, sauce, and salad bits. Will have that tomorrow. With tenderstem broccoli.
Tonight will be scrambled eggs for John and beetroot and feta for me. :p
My order for Bea's birthday arrived when I was out, and they put it in the old coal bin! The message said it was in 'the shed'. ;):* Anyway, it's here and it's safe now.
Then Waitrose arrived with a big delivery which we had to put away. Ooooffff! Some of it has to go in the garage freezer which is down steps. All done ✔️. I still have to hang the washing up, but I am writing to you instead.
Lisa - I'm pretty sure I can't manage all that technical business. I hadn't even thought about writing a script, just a couple of notes. As for titles etc.... .... Just never worked in an office or developed any office skills. I will do something for Instagram though, I swear. My phone is so ancient it can hardly manage much video before overheating! If my son wasn't so incredibly over busy, I could ask him to help me. My elder son lives too far away to be of help, which is a shame as he used to post on YouTube until it was costing him too much money.
I do not want to buy equipment etc.
Maybe someday. Who knows. I study YouTubers very carefully for tips on style though. It seems the more 'natural' the better. Being natural takes a lot of talent and artifice.

Barbie - Jake had so much going on in the past few years - cancer check-ups, the heart problems, his getting rides to various doctors in Seattle. So many things you had to consider and that weighed on your mind, even though you dealt with these things very well and kept a positive spin. As others here have said, it's time for you to rest up. There's no hurry at all other than pay the bills, eat, stay warm and love on your doggies. Sending many (((HUGS))) your way.

    Lanette,
It was low when Dr. Monroe checked my D level, and I was in my forties. I had to take a high dose of Vitamin D. Now it is on the high side of normal. So, a D level needs to be checked, too. I got a message that it was time to go to the lab and get my levels tested again. They check everything now. When I was pregnant with my daughter Alexandra, I had Gestational Diabetes, and they say that I should have been at risk for diabetes then. I had to take insulin during my pregnancy with her. With DS, I didn't have that issue, but I did have Pre-Eclampsia. My bp started low but was as high as 176/120. My ankles looked like elephant hooves. I have very skinny ankles typically. So I was shocked when I got off work, put on a short set, and noticed my legs. I never had to go on BP meds, though.
People don't realize that when your blood sugar level is at 300, your blood is thick like mashed potatoes, so that is when you can stroke out because the blood is too thick to circulate throughout the body properly. So, the heart works harder, and in the end, the heart enlarges. Then, it cannot be as effective. That is when cardiac problems come in, and strokes occur. It is pretty scary.
One day, I will post a picture of the recipe to show the difference in the blood at different blood sugar levels. High blood sugar is unsuitable for the brain due to decreased blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. That is why I love Rita shares what she learns in her Diabetes class.

Michelle, I hope you are not bored in Florida. What part of Florida do you go to?

Rori, Your upcoming trip sounds fun. I would love to put on ice skates again and go skating. I also want to go snowshoeing. I think I will try it in Vermont one year. I would love to go to the mountains and stay in a cozy cabin warm enough to scrapbook, read, and color. I will also work. I will work on learning this as well. I also would love to go to Thailand and enjoy the beach and the sun.

Okay, I had better put another load of laundry in the wash. Talk to you all later.

Heather - You might think about asking the grands to help, with the permission of the son and DDIL, of course. They're growing up in an online world in ways we can't even conceive, and might well be able to help you do what you want for Instagram.

For those wondering about what happens to the weight we lose - Machka's explained it before, but this helps, as well:
