What do you feel people that gain muscle quicker do to achieve that fast progress ?

It’s been quite sometime since I’ve had this question pending alongside placing Macro’s and using them to achieve my fitness goals. However, I would genuinely love to know what other methods can I use to improve my muscle growth effectiveness ? Thank you

A proper progressive training programme with sufficient time for your muscles to rest I would say, plus a calorie surplus so your muscles actually have the energy to grow. Another way is to get yourself a congenital muscle condition that causes hypertrophy. Would not recommend though 😄

I like the articles on Legion Athletics - Muscle for Life website. Note: They sell supplements and coaching. I have no affiliation with them and have never purchased any of their products. I have read Mike Matthews Thinner, Leaner, Stronger book.

I'm assuming you are still in the beginning phases too. At least .7g of protein per lb of body weight per day. Can sometimes get a bit more out of it if you go higher with the right genetics. Also be aware that the protein needs spread out through the day as the body will turn extra protein into energy if a lot is consumed at one meal. I think that number is somewhere around 50g for one meal but I may be brain farting on it. I struggle to get a lot of protein even when adding a shake every day. I think I need to add protein bars too.

Check out renaissance periodization or Jeff Nippard on youtube. Both are very science based and up to date on the lastest studies. They have a lot to teach about building muscle.

Other than a good progressive program faithfully performed, good overall nutrition (especially but not exclusively ample protein), proper recovery, and a calorie surplus?

I'm sorry to say that I think the main answers would be relative youth, relative newness to strength training, favorable genetics, relative maleness, and other similar sorts of unmanipulatable factors.

There are a few supplements that might give some tiny benefit, mostly through remedying sub-ideal nutrition, slightly improving recovery, or boosting energy level.

Lifting with consistency, and intensity, and progression. Plus high protein. Plus good sleep and less stress. Being younger and a new lifter is relatively easy mode too.

Creatine monohydrate is the best supplement you can add.
