Allie, By "the hang of things", what has changed in your routine since the transplant? Are there long term lifestyle changes necessary?

Rita, I'm thankful you have a housing plan that keeps you near the place you love.

Glad it all went well, Lisa. Just window shopping can be very inspiring. The yarn is gorgeous. I'm mostly a looker, not a buyer, but it soothes my soul to see beautiful materials.

Excellent dinner, but I hadn't realised I was out of saffron. It didn't matter that much to the taste. I went straight onto Amazon to order some. It's so unlike me not to reorder before I've run out.

Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Carol - Good luck with the eye operation.

Allie - Just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other at this stage! Slowly, slowly, a new life is approaching. Xxxxxxxx

Mo - My ceramics shop has been sold to new owners. I’ve met them and they seem nice, but they haven’t seem very interested in coming to learn how to make molds. Painting techniques, etc. from the current owner. Also, I just really like the new current owner she has become a friend and I’m going to miss her.

Rosemarie - Do you have a friend that could sit with you while you declutter? My daughter uses this she has ADHD and uses me for body doubling. It helps her quite a bit.
I think I’m going to make lasagna today too, you’ve had me craving it. I use ricotta cheese.
I think you should find some younger friends that want to do things with you. I feel that when we stop doing things we get old faster.

Lisa - I’m so excited for you to have your trip. I thought you said this was a quilters show, maybe I’m mistaken.
I’m curious how expensive the wood turned crochet hooks were. Rodger found a kit and wanted to try to make some.

Barbie - it must cost a small fortune to send books here. Our postal service is so very expensive.
Hugs to you, I hope you have a restful day tomorrow.

Heather - that’s a pretty cake for Bea.
    Your son has a talent.
I used to let the girls have parties like that, I miss those days.

Rebecca - I’m always fascinated about your fasting times and what you eat. I personally couldn’t do it, but am impressed with how you do

Carol - I understand the hesitation in finding a formal gown. I wore a long one at our daughter’s wedding. I found the ladies at the stores quite helpful in knowing what style fits what body type better.

Rita - it sounds like you have a good plan in place.

Allie - I had a friend that had a kidney transplant and after a few months you wouldn’t know he ever had one. You’ve got this!
Can’t Tracy or Danielle do your laundry for you? Laundry is a physical task.

Lanette - lack of calf stretches is what causes PF too. I thought I had been doing enough but apparently not.
What a great idea for a fundraiser.

Terri - Sorry for the loss in your family.

Machka - I hope you get to visit your granddaughters often :)
That’s frustrating and good that your new shorts don’t fit.

I didn’t do a lot today. I ran to the store, bought stuff for lasagna tomorrow, decided it was too late today.
I tidied and talked to my cousin and friend on the phone.

    Interesting article:

    https://bicyclenetwork.com.au/newsroom/2025/03/11/exercise-improves-our-brain-lowers-dementia-risk/

""We believe this work is important because it suggests exercise may work to improve cognition and memory by improving the abilities of insulin to act on the brain,” he said."

On that … I had a decent walk today, and ended the day with over 10,000 steps (including the ones around the house).

I also organised my pens! I have something in the neighbourhood of a gazillion alcohol pens, gel pens, acrylic pens, and watercolour pens … all for doing my colouring.
