@SunnyDays930 , CONGRATULATIONS on getting down to 160! That's AWESOME!🏆
4 -
@Walela617 It was short-lived. Now I am 160.2 and am stuck there.🤦♀️. But now that I feel I have control over the alcohol, I can tackle the sweets. I just want to get under and stay under 160 for March.

Thank you
for continuing this challenge. Thanks to everyone for the useful advice I read on this thread. There's lots of things I need to look at and consider, thanks all. Although I only look at this page once a week, it is reassuring to know that others are in the same situation as me and we are all making progress!
My aims for this month are to: get back to being active, reduce my bread/pasta/rice/potato intake, try to get at least 7 hours sleep a night and to return to tracking my meals - to get into 130-ville!
My name is Nikki, and I'm 5'3" (on a good day!). I'm based on the south coast in the UK. I'm in my 50s and work full time as a teacher. I'm pretty active - but there's always room for some more.
My GW is 133lb
my UGW is 126 - although that is very optimistic!
I weigh in on Thursdays, but get around to posting at the weekendsProgress so far:

Time to get back into tracking and start being more accountable to myself! Good luck everyone with this round of weight loss!
06 Feb - 143.2lb (1.4lb)Not a great week, but no excuses. I need to get my head back into this!
Any tips to get me out of this rut?
13 Feb - 142.6 (0.6)That will have to do. My head is still elsewhere unfortunately. Thanks for
for the idea about water and protein - it is something I will look into. Thanks also to
for the positivity - there's still a way to go until I'm happy with what I see in the mirror!
I'm off to Rome for a residential trip with the school next week - I'm not sure I will be able to curb the carbs and drink lots of water. However, we are going to do a lot of walking. Good luck to everyone next week!
20 Feb - 143.4lb (+0.8)Considering how much and what I ate in Rome - that weight measurement actually isn't that bad!
I'm not a fan of coffee, so that wasn't a problem! However, I ate a lot of pasta, a lot of pizza and some fast food - not my first choices for meals that's for sure. However, I did an awful lot of walking - over 18,000 steps on Monday, over 30,000 steps on Tuesday, over 23,000 steps on Wednesday and over 20,000 steps on Thursday - a lot more than I normally do!! I'm looking forward to eating salads and vegetables next week, with the hope I can get to the end of February weighing less than at the start!!
27 Feb - 142.6lb (-0.8)I know it's not much, but I'll have it!
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR FEBRUARY: 0.6That is really quite rubbish, so I am hoping that I will get my head back into things. Work has been quite stressful and one of my sister's is in hospital after complications with a heart operation, so my head hasn't been in a diet-mode. She is getting better, so hopefully I will be around for proper meals and thinking about my health. Good luck everyone with their weight loss this month!
06 Mar -141.4lb (-1.2)😎 - Yay! I can't say what I did, but I'll take it. Well done to everyone who has lost weight this week! You are an inspiration and remind me that it can be done!!
13 Mar - 141.0lb (-0.4) 😎- A pitiful loss! 😞 Well done to everyone who is on track with their weight loss. I need to get my head back into this, especially now the days are getting longer and it is getting warmer. No excuse not to go out and be active! Good luck to everyone next week!

@Walela617 I don't think it's a pitiful loss at all. 1 1/2 pounds in 2 weeks?!?!?!?!? Almost 10 pounds since last August. I think that's awesome.

Hi folks, my weight remained the same this week. It had been an emotional week with a funeral to attend, followed by a family birthday celebration. Must try harder now to drop a pound or two again. Well done to everyone showing loses and good luck to you all this week.

I'm steadily loosing, although I haven't been doing Keto this month, I have been staying in my calorie budget.

🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 03/18 – 194.8 (Trend Weight – 193.4) As you can see by my trend weight I had a very good week until the travel yesterday. I expected an increase due to the various typical travel reasons but HOLY COW! My son chose Golden Corral for dinner. Every single thing I put in my mouth tasted like the lid fell off the salt shaker. I could only eat a few bites of each thing due to the saltiness but it adds up apparently. Honestly, I think the main problem was that I spent too much time at the dessert bar. Coupled with all the sitting as it was a very long day trip (not home until well after dark), I shouldn’t expect anything less than what I got. Today will need to be a banner day. Prayers and excitement for our Astronauts returning home this evening! Let’s hope for an uncomplicated re-entry and splash landing!

Just getting my left knee done. Hoping I don't have to wait too long as the pain in getting worse & can barely do anything.

@deepwoodslady I am also affected by salty foods. I can have a normal meal out (which I perceive as light in salt) and then at night, I feel my fingers tingling which I know means I ate too much salt.
I'm happy the astronauts got home safely◡̈

HW 206 lbs. Summer of 2023
Since last May 2024, I've lost 26 pounds.
2/7 171.5

2/19 170.1
2/27 170.1
3/5 171.0

Sometimes I fret about how little I've lost lately, and I then I remind myself that I've lost over 36 pounds in the last year. I can be very hard on myself. I am still at a plateau. I know I have to probably enact some drastic measures like "eat low carb" or limit sugar, etc. But I eat very little during the day, but do have several portions of snacks in the evening. I know what I have to do, but am not quite there yet. I have to be militant and probably set some rigid goals, but I'm just not there yet emotionally. I'll keep trying.
Thanks for your posts. I read every single one. 😘

Hello again from the UK.
I haven't posted in a while, and went on a cruise in February. Luckily only gained 2 pounds, but I've also put on some before Christmas too, I'm not exactly back to the beginning, but it's definitely starting to show.
So, back to tracking calories now, with an important wedding at the end of the year (not my own (smiley face!!))

Thank you all for being here. It really helps me. I read everything over and over again.

Again and Again, I'm holding steady with my weight. So close to goal but struggling with those last stubborn pounds.
Today at the gym, I ‘noticed and appreciated’ the new friends I’ve made. We always, start our mornings with warm greetings and banter which sets me all up for a better workout. I hope to cultivate a few lasting friendships. (I'm up front, 4th from the right, next to the senior bodybuilder)

What a great group. Look at that senior body builder!!!!!!!! I count 18 people. And look at those men hiding in the back! Hahahahahahahahahah. So good.

@angeleyes1015 you’ve got this 🏆Great job so far and perfect plan for continuing success
Today I am concentrating on staying in my nutrition goals and extra water. Tonight’s snack will be a high protein snack (roast beef and an egg)
We can do this together

Well considering it was my husband's birthday, St. Patrick's Day and our Anniversary, I will take a small gain as a win. We went out to lunch yesterday and I said no to the salad and had corn beef and cabbage with the most delicious horseradish sauce. I don't usually get to eat this as my husband doesn't like corned beef so I am not going to cook an entire dish like this. it was YUMMY. Anyway, I gained this week. We ordered a treadmill which may not be here until April 1 so I am trying to be patient. Once that gets here, I really hope to see some results.

Still at a plateau. I expect it to get better though. I am dog sitting and walking a lot! Yesterday, I walked over 5 miles. Although dogs are a lot of work, I love brief stints with a dog. I love walking him at night, seeing the beautiful moon and stars. I also love walking early morning watching the sun come up.
This coming week, we are going to Pilates twice. We also got a free pass for one visit to our community center. I want to go for a swim.
I am minimizing snacking or when I snack I pour it into a very small bowl. Seems to be enough to satisfy the salt cravings. I am not a sweets person, but I do love a salty snack. My sweet tooth went away years ago. Now, my teeth hurt when I have something sweet. This is a boring post. LOL ◡̈
Have a great day!
